If I could give zero stars, I would. This company installed a fence for my neighbor and somehow managed to turn it into a problem for *my* property instead. Without any permission or communication, they cut directly into my existing fence, damaging it in the process. No notice, no knock on the door, nothing. Just went ahead and did whatever they wanted. To make matters worse, they left debris all over my yard like it was a dumping ground. Scraps, trash, and leftover materials were scattered everywhere. It was honestly shocking how little care or respect they had for someone else's property. The lack of professionalism here is unreal. I have contacted two managers at the company and have yet to receive a reply. If this is how they treat people who aren't even their customers, I would strongly question how they treat the ones who are. I would not recommend this company to anyone unless you are okay with them ignoring property lines, damaging existing structures, and leaving a mess behind for someone else to clean up. read more

I would not use this company. The fences on these pics are not what my fence looks like. They are all nice and straight, mine is definitely not straight. These guys had to come out three times to fix things their workers broke. The third time they came they cut the internet for everyone around me. They did not add any water to the cement, parts of the fence is now leaning into my neighbors yard. They said they spoke no English when I asked them questions, but then spoke English to my Spanish neighbor. They threw their trash down in the fence posts. Even after I handed them a trash bag. They were extremely rude and left the yard a mess. I went with them because they are a larger company, hoping they would back their product and workmanship. My guess the next hurricane that fence will be gone. Funny as soon as I posted this I got a text asking for their second payment. read more

After the recent hurricanes I had called fence outlet to replace my fences that came down. They were prompt to respond to my request and came out quickly to give me a quote for a new fence. It took about a month for them to get my product in and come out and do the installation. They were very good and quick about completing the installation. I had a double gate installed on the one side of my home. Initially the gate did not pass inspection due to some minor adjustments that needed to be made and a different lock that had to be added onto my gate due to me having a pool. The service manager and individual that took all of my information at the fence outlet was so good at follow up and ensuring that everything was corrected and on spot. They even went out of their way to make sure that I had the appropriate lock on my gate and the required springs for self-closing Gates. In addition he came around and made sure all of the tops of my fence posts were properly secured and that all parts of the fence where properly installed. Both post installation service individuals that came to my home were very knowledgeable and very attentive to every need that I had. And a huge respectful thank you to their service manager who answered the phone and took care of any and all issues immediately as well as excellent follow-up to ensure I was happy. She is amazing individual! Overall the cost of my fence was less than any other company that I had had quotes from and even my neighbor said they had the best price from anybody that they had talked to as well. my neighbor subsequently ended up getting fence from the same company. We paid 1/2 upfront and there was about an 8 week wait for install but it was well worth the wait! Very dissatisfied with Fence Outlet. We had storm damage to a side gate of our fence. They needed to be paid prior to doing the job. They charged us $30 just to make an adjustment to the other gate that was sagging it started sagging about two weeks after it was installed. I feel the least they could have done was no charge for a simple screw to be installed. ( they were already there to fix the other gate so it wasn't a special trip) They indicated the person who installed it didn't do it correctly. The only thing they fixed was a post not the entire gate so I think $600 + is excessive. I will NEVER do business with them again nor will I recommend them to anyone. Can you say price gouging!!!!! Once we got approval from the HOA, we informed Fence Outlet and they immediately called to schedule our install for the following week. I had fence outlet install my white vinyl fence over a year and half ago, was led to believe when it was sold to me I had a lifetime warranty. Of course when I had a problem (latch bolt on the door stripped out from the pvc frame- was likely never installed correctly or a defect in the pvc itself, causing the bolt to come loose) they want to charge me hundreds of dollars just to come out to look at it for a service/trip charge. When I ask why this isn't covered under the lifetime warranty they tell me I only have a limited lifetime warranty- which only covers the defects in fencing material. Since the bolt is not staying in the door- it's the hardware- which is not covered. I have tried to ask numerous agents and managers how they figure it's not covered when the metal bolt is fine- it's where it was connected (in the pvc) that is stripped. I finally gave up- I was getting no where and felt unless I forked over hundreds of dollars they would not help. Very disappointed. Poor customer service and honestly bait and switch on the "lifetime warranty". I was also under the impression with the sales estimator that came out- each vinyl post had a metal insert- he showed me a sample of how Fence Outlet does it so much better- upon further investigation well after the install- only the corner posts and some with the gate have the metal insert. It's such a terrible business practice to sell a product one way and deliver another but in a way that you wouldn't necessarily know right away. My advice to anyone considering Fence Outlet is to just find someone else more local with a better reputation. If you do decide to use this company, just beware the bait and switch tactic they deploy- ask about the fence construction- ensure you are aware if they are only using metal inserts in some of the posts, make sure you know what is and isn't covered with the limited lifetime warranty- don't get comfortable ask tons of questions. As I stated above- it has been a long time and have received no help with my issue; instead of "how may I help you" approach, it is "how may we not help you". My neighbor asked me if I would recommend my fence installer and I told him absolutely not. I also decided I probably should share this with others- so if you can, avoid Fence Outlet- but if you do decide to use them, just do your homework, ask questions and supervise the work being done. Very disappointed with the responsiveness of this company. Despite their tv ads, customer service is far from a priority. I pre-paid for a privacy fence installation and a FULL two months AFTER the payment, I still have yet to hear one word about an install date. While not unsympathetic to staffing, supply chain, and post covid concerns, none of the these apply. I've called, texted and even went there in person. My $5k must be nothing to them. (I'm a home owner and not a contractor). To me I simply asked for an install date. If it's months out then just say so and provide the date. No word means you are not at all concerned with my business. I should have found someone off of Facebook marketplace. I wouldn't recommend this business to anyone I knew! read more

Bought a split rail fence from Fence outlet. It was a specialty item and I feel it was misrepresented to us. Our invoice said "5 each 3 x 8 PVC RANCH RAIL 2RAIL SECTION-WHT". When we went to pick it up they could not find them so they told us they come in 16 foot sections. We were not told they would be 16 foot sections nor did it state that anywhere. They charged us to cut them to 8 foot sections, no we only have clips on one side to go into the posts. I feel we were deceived and falsely charged. Be careful buying from Fence Outlet! read more

No starts is a generous review for this company. The time, money and energy they made me waste had me completely regret the decision to even consider them. The sales man did not understand our request when he drew up the contract. We advised him of the No HOA approval needed at the time due to the community being so new and he said that wouldn't be a problem. It was. They took so long our community had enough time to hire an HOA which then required us a whole approval process we were trying to avoid. They advertise manufacturing their material in house but had multiple delays in receiving it. We had several houses that moved in after us have their fence was up long before this company even struck ground. My neighbor built his fence in two weeks which caused us to not be able to put our fence up on that side. They still charged me for the material that they did not use stating that since it was custom ordered it cannot be returned when they took so long to even put it up in the first place. We signed the contract on 3/27 and on 5/31 is when they finally installed only two closing slats on each side of the house and the back fence. THATS IT! Over $3k for less than half of the material they had to use. The GM and sales man did not care about the situation at all and mentioned that he did me a favor by not charging me a fee for being under a certain square footage. I'm currently in the process of talking to a lawyer to serve this company for everything they took. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY when there are far better companies out there that are the same price if not cheaper for better quality and better service. read more

My family and I are very satisfied with the fencing materials we purchased from this business. The manager helped us out immensely with us being short a couple of posts when it came down to install. With this being said, upon picking up the extra posts I was very unimpressed with the attitude of the blonde lady at the front desk. I kindly asked to see the posts before paying just to make sure they were the correct color, and she looked at me like I was crazy. This, along with her less than friendly attitude leaves a me with a somewhat tainted impression of the business. Had she been as friendly as the gentleman who helped me load my car, I would probably rate this business 4-5 stars. read more

After months of waiting they attempted to install what we didn't order! We stopped them after they pulled out all the fencing. They put it back together with tie wraps! What they tried to install was illegal in the HOA...black aluminum adjacent to the shore. We asked for white aluminum. They were reluctant to fix the problem, and tried to blame us. They eventually said replacement with white aluminum was impossible. We had to settle for pvc. The remainder of the fencing was white pvc with normal spacing in accordance with HOA rules. They tried to install closed gap fencing, which is not legal with HOA. Fence Outlet KNEW that these materials were not legal! (They've installed MANY fences in this HOA, including my next door neighbor). I suppose they were trying to dump their excess inventory. Ţo add insult to injury, they tried to charge an additional $1500 to change from aluminum to plastic!!!! One of the gates is so far out of alignment that it has to be lifted to engage the latch. read more

One star is being polite. This company does not do what they say and the communications are non existent. Let me start by saying, I would never recommend them to anyone. We had been looking for a good fence company for a while and our neighbors decided on the Fence Outlet. So we talked to an associate named Melissa and signed an agreement. The associate stated numerous times that we are not required to pay the balance until we are completely satisfied with the job and the fence. Well guess what, the job was not completed and they sent us to collections before they even completed the work. How unethical is that? They state that they use 60 lbs of concrete in each post, which is a lie. We have 14 posts in our yard and only 4 had concrete in them. They installers left multiple garbage items in my yard, including empty Gatorade bottles and cigarette butts. We contacted the company numerous times via email and phone calls with zero response. After about 4 months of trying to reach the company, we got the letter in the mail stating that we had been sent to collections for default on our agreement. We contacted the collection company Green Light Maximum and they refused to work with us at first, but after explaining all the issues we had, they contacted an associate with The Fence Outlet, Francisco and they agreed to fix all the issues we had. Unfortunately it took 9 months to get them to make right on their contract. Now they are requesting that we pay over double the amount owed due to interest fees and attorney's fees. All in all they are a horrible company to work with and the final product is junk. I wish I would have read their reviews prior to choosing this company. Our neighbors fence is already falling apart. We definitely learned our lesson! Don't make the same mistake we did. read more

Recently I purchased a new fence and had it installed by Fence Outlet of NPR. The quality of the installation and materials was excellent. HOWEVER, the process and they manner in which they serviced me as a customer was absolutely terrible. First, the contract I signed stated that installation would occur in 3 to 4 weeks after signing. It wasn't until 5 weeks that the first crew showed up to do the installation. However, the underground utilities had not been marked out so they refused to do the install. They didn't return until 2 weeks later. Instead of 3 to 4 weeks to install it was 7 weeks. That did not conform to their contract obligation and is very poor customer service. Second, Fence Outlet of NPR was not even able to get the utilities located. They contacted the utility locators who stated to them that the utilities were located and marked. They were not. I sent photos to Fence Outlet of NPR showing as much. Fence Outlet continued to tell me that they received notice that they were located and marked and they felt they met their obligation, even though the photos I sent indicated otherwise. Finally, in order to avoid any further delay, I contacted 811 and the utility locators came out the next day and marked them. I should not have had to do that, that is fence Outlet's responsibility. But if I hadn't, there certainly would have been more delay. Fence Outlet told me that since they notified the locators and the locators said it was completed, then Fence Outlet met their obligation. I disagree. They are obligated to get the utilities located and it is their responsibility to ensure they are. That is not the customer's responsibility. Due to all of the problems and also that I had to do what I believe is some of their responsibility, I asked Fence Outlet to provide some type of credit. They refused, essentially telling me that they met all of their obligations. I disagree. I do not recommend using Fence Outlet. They do not follow through on their obligations and they treat their customers as though they are doing a favor for them instead of wanting to provide superior service. There are plenty of fence contractors out there. Any other would be better than Fence Outlet. read more

The best thing about this company was Melissa the Sales Rep. She was fantastic. The fence turned out beautiful, looks like it will last forever. The Company has horrible communication skills. I never knew what time they were showing up each day and they would leave without telling me. They said the fence would take two days and it took three. Went into showroom yesterday to request an estimate to have approximately 64 feet of privacy vinyl fencing installed. Salesperson at counter seemed a little flustered by my request but then proceeded to tell me that they can give me the estimate however, there would be an additional up charge of $450.00 because they're minimum for installation is 100 feet. So anyone out there who has a smaller yard stay away from fence outlet. In my opinion, not a very good business practice and only displays greed on the part of this company. If you cant do all size jobs at a fair price, you shouldn't be in business. read more

This is the second time I am using this company to install my fence. There is a yappy mutt next door who doesn't respond to any commands to shut the F#@k up. (Politely of course) SO... My only gripe is there is a 2 week wait for someone to come measure. (I got Melissa) she is extremely personable and answered all my questions. I just bought this house and my neighbors all have chain link. Well, with the yappy dog next door and my yappy dog I have to put up some sort of a privacy fence. And then 3 more weeks before the actual install. However, since I've already used this company at my last house I know that the fence is quality. It even raised the value of my last home. Fences can be expensive so I went big and gooot the PVC. Less maintenance versus wood and they were virtually the same price. I don't want to have to power wash, sand and then stain my fence every few years. So I hope to never have to make this purchase again. I definitely recommend Fence Outlet and if you have the possibility... ask for Melissa. You won't regret it. read more

We hired the Fence Outlet to install a 96' fence last Sept..yes 2015. We made the initial payment. A slight catastrophe occurred when we had to replace a retaining wall we didn't know was about ready to fall down. During this time of finding a contractor, estimates etc I dealt with Ashley. She was just wondeful and very understanding of our plight! I kept her up to date with everything going on and finally in July our fence was completed. It took 3 workers about 3 hours. Hubby and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. I don't know of any other company that has been this great after all this time! I had this company give an estimate in November 2020, for having fence installed, and my neighbor did as well (estimates were written for 5 neighbors properties that day by this company), I was told it would take approximately 12 weeks for the materials to come in, as some are special order. My neighbor and I gave them a deposit and signed contracts on the same day, my neighbor was called today and the company has their materials and can install next week. I called the company to see if my fence was to be installed as well (the cost of the fence between our properties was to be split, but the entire fence between the properties could only be put on one contract and we arranged to split the cost ourselves, the fence between our properties was on my contract) I was told it would not be installed because they had not received an approval letter from my HOA, in fact I was told my materials would not even be ordered until they had the letter from the HOA. I am the customer, not the HOA. My neighbor on the other side of my house had a different company install their fence and it was installed December 2020 and she got her approval letter from the HOA last week, not prior to the fence being installed. I now realize that deceptive practices and lame excuses are the way they try to get business, I contacted a Customer Service person and left a message and sent an email, since no-one was available to speak with me and have not heard back. They say customer service is their goal, I find that very hard to believe after the way that I was treated by this mismanaged company. I do not recommend using Fence Outlet. read more

The only good thing I can say is the fence is up and looks good...now. TO begin, the surveyer that quoted me grossly mis-measured the property which resulted in awful confusion upon the construction of the fence a week later. Construction day there was only a single man for around 3-4 hours working by himself. Later in the day, a second man came. FO clearly hires outside contractors as neither man spoke english and had to call the main office for translation. FO sent the wrong sized gate further delaying construction. Upon completing, the fence had several cosmetic and construction issues including scrapes, scratches, and holes where the contractors drilled too far in. A few weeks later, I go to turn my sprinklers on, only to find out that almost all of my lines were damaged resulting in myriad leaks and costly fixes. Mind you, there were no sprinklers even in the way of fence construction. My advice is you get what you pay for. These guys suck and make you sign an authorization before construction that says they're not responsible for damaging your property. GO ELSEWHERE. read more

Just moved here from ATL into a new home. Not what I'd expect from the New Port Richey company itself for the high price paid. Yes, the fence looks great once finished but somewhat of a hassle getting there. Even though they were higher than some estimates, they were recommended by many. Took 2 weeks from day of estimate to completion(not the norm). Hard to get a hold of Alexis. Seldom returned calls. Had to place voice mail after voice mail for return call. NPR office never knows ANYTHING and always directs us to Alexis. Grant it, when you DO get a hold of her, she tends to make you feel comfortable about any situation. There was a billing error and invoice still has yet to be corrected. I have yet to receive a follow up call/email or any correspondence regarding whether satisfied or not! Go figure, no service after the sale. Seems the norm in Florida! Not that I WOULDN'T recommend them, just be weary. Not going to be smooth sailing, especially using the NPR location! read more

Just moved into the Springhill area and needed to put up a fence at the new house for my dogs ASAP. A friend recommended Fence Outlet and I couldn't be any happier with the outcome! Ashley L. immediately greeted us with a welcoming smile, she was very knowledgable and helpful with getting us everything we needed. The staff was friendly and courteous. We had our supplies and were on our way within 30 minutes. We did have a bit of overage and upon completion. Returning the items was just as pleasurable of an experience as purchasing them.
