Fence Outlet installed our fence less than a year ago and I asked them to come out because they say they have the best warranty. They wanted to charge us $450 for a service call just to slide a couple slats into the fence that were pushed out by some animal or some type of natural disaster. They say they have the best warranty in the business. They do the fence and about 2 1/2 hours for an average size yard. And it cost about $5000 but when they asked to help replace some thing that would take a few minutes, they charge outlandish some of money. Always look for offense company that backs up its warranty. Unfortunately, this company was a huge let down to me. They had very high reviews and I was looking forward to purchasing a new fence from them. I requested 2 quotes for the backyard and the installer, Mike, asked me why. He said, " Is this for budget reasons? Why do you need 2 quotes?!" I tried showing him where I would like the fence but he kept interrupting me and wanted to know what the other competitors quoted me. He kept asking me multiple irrelevant questions on why I wanted a backyard fence to continue outside one of my windows. He demanded to see the survey and Warranty deed to verify that I was the owner. The conversation with him became more and more aggressive. He mentioned that he came all the way from Orlando and that they are very busy as if he was overwhelmed. I spoke with a "manager" who initially apologized for the behavior but defended his actions on why he was asking lots of questions. He said that they question more compared to the competitors so that they do not make mistakes. He validated that Mike was following exactly how they were "trained" and that this was normal. Asking me why I need a fence around my window and asking me what's in the room is irrelevant to a simple fence quote. He questioned why no other installer verified why they didn't ask for a Warranty Deed and stated, "It sounds like they are not certified to perform a fence install." The other companies were Lowe's and Superior fences which had high reviews. From the installer to the manager, this company has lost my trust and business. The materials seemed mostly good, after trying to put this fence up we found a lot were just not fitting right. They were put together poorly, nails not in more than half way or missing boards completely. We had warped 2×4s so that made it so we couldn't line up the fence properly. The installers were amazing. I had no issues with the estimate nor the installers. And the company had no Issues with my payment. The person who gave me my quote took my survey to my house and guaranteed I would receive it back in the mail. Once FenceOutlet received my payment (in full by the way) everyone went ghost. I have been emailing and calling the entire company since July 2021 for my survey. My opinion, go with someone else. it's not worth the stress of not being treated correctly. We purchased a home that already was fenced enclosed. Come to find out after our neighbors sold their home, the new owners had a survey done and our fence was in their property by 2 feet. The fence company that the new neighbor got happens to be Fence Outlet, and they were the same company that installed the fence on our property. So, just like they go by survey of property before installing, they should of installed the fence on the appropriate property line. Knowing this, and they acknowledged they put the fence up that's on our property, they did nothing to help with the cost of moving the fence to right location. Then a CSR Manager and Sales Manager came out and told me that the install was correct. Being in the Construction industry all my life, I am not happy with the quality of workmanship. Matt, the quality manager is a consummate specialist. I am giving you this high mark due to Matt and only Matt. Tommy the sales manager stated my install was correct and the CSR Manager agreed. Both of the above where wrong, the gate was redone with proper nails. Johnathan you need to go out in the field for at least a month. You have a girl in the office that is outstanding in customer service. The most important thing is Matt and The CSR rep where professionals, the professionals you sent (Tommy and Johnathan). I had a terrible experience with Fence Outlet. I went to the store in person to set up my appt for an estimate, which they scheduled for two weeks later. The salesman, John, was friendly but let me know that because I had a small job, I would be charged extra for installation. We agreed I would receive an estimate for both professional installation and do-it-yourself. He indicated that it would probably come to by end of day. I waited a full day and a half before reaching out to Fence Outlet. NO ONE answers the phone, so I left three message over the next few days. Finally, John called me back and promised he would follow up w/estimating and call me back. It has now been TEN DAYS, and still no estimate, and now John doesn't call me back either. I contracted Fence Outlet to install approximately 86' of 6' white vinyl pvc privacy fence around my backyard. I had already received HOA approval for this fence and had secured a county permit in December 2021 - I was going to do the job myself, but I went with Fence Outlet because I thought it would save me time. I was wrong. The sales rep came out to survey our property on July 19, 2022 at which time we paid half of the total price (i.e., materials + labor + permit fee + sprinkler assurance) and were told we would be called when the permit was approved to set install date. By August 18 (1 month later) we had heard nothing from the sales rep nor fence outlet. I called the sales rep to see what was going on, and he did not know and had me call the permitting department. They told me the permit had been denied because the fence facing the back alley had to be 2' lattice on top and 4' white vinyl pvc on the bottom. Although the permit being denied was not their fault, the fact that nobody bothered to call me for over a month to provide inform me it was denied and ask me how I wanted to proceed is. Additionally, when I called the sales rep to ask why there was such a delay and to assess options, he initially tried to lie to me by saying "look at the contract, I put 4' privacy and 2' lattice on top." In the photo of the original contract I have attached dated July 19, you can clearly see that is not the case. On August 20, I went into Fence Outlet on OBT and they apologized and said they would get it sorted out. I initially asked Fence Outlet's permitting department to push back on the county, but by the end of August I gave in and agreed to the county's demands. Also on August 20, they said they would not upcharge me for less material to complete the order (thank you?) and that they would get the parts ordered and schedule install date when they arrive. By September 1, the permit was approved and an updated contract was sent to me by the sales rep to account for the change in the order. It was revised incorrectly - not reflecting the half of the cost I already paid. Already upset with the delay and the lying, I was even more angry when the body of the email attached to wrong contract read "How is this for fast" - not fast and not correct. To add to my frustration, when I brought this mistake to the attention of the sales rep he told me to edit the contract myself and send it back. Contracts are critical to any business and customers should never be editing contracts for many reasons, but most importantly: THAT IS NOT THE CUSOMTERS JOB, THAT IS THE ESSENCE WHAT SALES PEOPLE DO! Despite my multiple calls, it took them over a week (received email September 9) to say do what the sales rep said to move forward. So that same day I did and asked them to please provide an install date. I heard nothing regarding an install date despite multiple calls and emails until 1 week later (ie, September 16) when I had my wife call them to see if she could get them to respond - she was successful. The permitting point of contact informed my wife they were waiting on the parts, but that this person would go in the back to see the status of the inventory. Low and behold the parts were there and had been for who knows how long without calling us. Recognizing their screw up, immediately an ops person called me to schedule an install date for September 22 (over 2 months after my original visit from the sales rep), but there was no apology. On the day of install (September 22), the same person in the Ops Department called to tell me the original install team couldn't make it, but a backup team could come at noon. I asked if this was a fence outlet employed team and this person assured me they were and they had done good work with them in the past. In hindsight, I regret consenting - they must've me coming and subcontracted my install out at the last minute. This "team" of one, did not have a copy of the survey, and the result clearly reflects that. The attached pictures speak for themselves, but in sum: The gate does not close properly. The concrete around the posts was not done properly. The work site was left filthy and would have killed most of my grass if I didn't dig out my yard myself. Since the survey was not used, my sprinkler system is completely destroyed and nonoperational and I am left with the $1,500 bill to fix them DESPITE THE FACT I PAID FOR THEIR SPRINKLER ASSURANCE! The post-install survey was never completed. To this day, nobody from the company has ever contacted me to complete the post-install inspection or even to check in with me on how my experience was as a customer - only an automated text message the next day asking me to pay the other half of the money, which I did but should not have. In sum, our experience was horrible and I am still dealing with the repercussions. They are only interested in money, not doing a quality job nor customer satisfaction. Shame on you Fence Outlet. Salesman went to my old address even though they installed my backyard fence at my new house last year and I updated my address online in the appt system when I booked. So that's two ways they had my new address. Haven't lived at the old place for almost 5 years. Have no idea how he got that address. Didnt call before the appt to confirm. Didnt call to find me when he found out I haven't lived there for years though he had my number. When I reached out (he never tried) to find out why he didn't show he made no effort to apologize or reschedule. I Left three messages for the sales team to get an estimate. Still zero reply. I was quoted to do my fence for 5k by a terrible sales rep called Cristian, my mother had originally spoke with them and was quoted 4K, they later changed their mind and said the price is higher now because of covid? They now wanted 5k, I had to constantly call him to get an answer and reply, he didn't even know who was calling or for what, several times in communication and to no avail, then he said if we paid cash they could do 4500, the next couple of days I called and no answer, I left voicemails, texts, weeks went by. When he finally returned my calls he didn't know who I was and then asked me for a picture of my quote. Keep in mind I have a copy and they have the original. I basically had to do his job for him. I literally chased after them to do the job and finally one day he decides to respond he tells me 5k is the best offer he could do, Then completely denies he ever told me they would do it for 4500. I wasted a month without getting a solid answer from them and now I have to search for a better company. Only hiccup was the toppers I had requested where not sent with the team on the second day, however they came back within an hour of finishing installation and added the correct toppers. I set up a fence install for my parents new home, and was ensured that the workers would be experienced and was not the case. They did indeed install the fence after showing up late. I instructed them ahead of time to please watch out for irrigation lines and they said they had marked up and would be careful. It has now been 4 weeks and my irrigation system still doesn't work after several calls to their "service department". I am really disappointing that I can't get someone competent out to help fix the issue. They just claim over and over "we aren't sprinkler people". Do not use this company. They will tell you one thing and not honor it. it took over a month in a half to install. I called several times for an update because once you sign and pay a deposit you get crickets from them. I had to sign two different contracts because the salesman didn't write it up correctly. I was told I would be sent an invoice in the mail about a week after install and could call in payment, they barley waited two days and ran the card that was used for the deposit after they were told another card would be used. This place is a disaster. Don't let the sales representative pull you in to this place. We got 3 quotes, and this one was the best deal and best sales rep. You get what you pay for. First, the sales rep came out and we paid an additional $150 for them to pull the permits. After my $2600 deposit was paid with no word from this place after 3 weeks, I called to inquire for an update. I spoke to Christine who said they were waiting on the permits to be pulled from Winter Garden, we don't live in Winter Garden. If I hadn't said anything we would still be waiting. The city was clearly written on the provided survey. Christine told me she'd call me every week. She called me the following week and said the permit was approved and they were waiting on materials. I reminded her our approved HOA was contingent on the project completed within 60 days. 2 weeks later I get the same update saying on 6/1 the permit was approved - different story from 2 weeks ago. Christine was able to "pull some strings" and get the fence in that week, after I requested to speak to a manager. Fence day comes around and our fence is connected to our neighbors. Something we specifically requested not to have, and our sales rep was against. The way the contract was described to us was that it wouldn't connect, and we signed it based off of the explanation. This place was less than accommodating when we explained that. Save the hassle. Go elsewhere. Update: Holly reached out to me. To make a long story short, there was some miscommunication regarding the permitting, and the permitting was pulled from the correct city but the way it was explained to me was that it was pulled from the wrong city. To make these issues right, they are reimbursing us $150 for the fence. She also explained they're going back to teaching staff how to word things correctly to ensure the customer (who most likely doesn't deal with fence building) understands what's going on. However when it came time for the install they refused to change the date even though it was the same day as my father's funeral. They installed while I was at the funeral and left my backyard in an awful mess. There were water bottles left all over the patio. My outdoor furniture was covered in boot prints and dirt and my brick patio was permenently damaged. I've called numerous times and they keep saying that they are going to come and assess the damage but they have yet to do so. I even sent pictures to their GM. Stay away. The vinyl fence itself is a great product. The customer service however is horrible. I have had nothing but problems with this place since day 1, but today pushed me to finally give them the rating they deserve. Allow me to explain. In November, I made a large purchase of vinyl and aluminum fence to wall in my massive yard. I went in a week before my purchase, chose my fencing, and went those to begin prepping. I chose 8ft sections of vinyl fence, and so I pre dug my post holes accordingly. Pickup day comes, I get the fencing, and bring all of it home. As I'm setting up and getting ready to start dropping posts, I notice that I was given 6ft sections. I now have to re-dig most of my holes. I decided that since I knew this project would span a few months as I had time on my days off, that I would let it go as an innocent mistake and just roll with it. About a month goes by and I'm putting in the last of the vinyl fencing, I notice that I wasn't given the proper number of connector posts, and was given three too many end posts. Again, I decide to let it go because I can bore holes and make it work. Which I did. The following weekend, I notice I am short on top and bottom sections of the vinyl fence. Now I'm annoyed, but it is a 40 minute drive for me to get there, and I can cut up some of the old fencing around the property and again just make it work. Finally, I get to today. I'm on the final part of the fence and all I need to do is put in the back gate to connect the aluminum fencing. But there are no hinges. I check the order and see I purchased them, but they aren't there. I decide this time that I have had enough of their mistakes and will make the drive to allow them to correct this mistake. When I arrive, I speak with a man behind the desk and let him know exactly what I needed, and that I purchased them already. He actually laughed in my face, and told me he can't help me and that I will have to purchase them again. I explain calmly that there have been multiple mistakes that I let go and I just need the hinges I purchased. Again, I'm laughed at and told there is nothing that can be done. I speak to the manager, same answer. So in closing, this place is terrible. Take your business elsewhere. read more

The crew that came out barely spoke English but we got thru that. Now the hurricane blew out 1 panel of fence, can they put it back together OH NO!! A charge of $450 cause it is less than 100 feet and whatever charges go on top of that. I can come down to the showroom and they will show me how to put it back together myself. BUT they will come out and fix a hinge on the gate cause that is under warranty. I did not expect them to come out for free, but $450 plus time and labor for a customer who already spent $3232!!!!
