Very affordable, professional, efficient, and family owned and operated. We received an estimate from Fence Lifts in June to replace ~130 feet of our backyard fence. We went ahead with scheduling in mid-July (said 8-12 week backlog) and finished the job in one day at the beginning of October (11 weeks exactly). They were very communicative throughout the process. The fence looks great. We upgraded to steel posts in the hopes that the fence will endure the winter storms similar to the ones that killed the original fence. Time will tell on the quality...no reason to suspect the fence will not last. The owner Chris is very friendly and respectful, as is his son whom we met for the estimate. The workers were also very friendly and respectful. We were surprised they finished the job in a day. Chris was also very easy to work with regarding splitting up payment between multiple neighbors. I would highly recommend Fence Lifts if you need a new fence. read more

I have had Chris replace our fence and also do an RV gate. Both times they were on time, quick, clean and efficient. Reasonable price as well. If I have future fence needs I will definitely be a return customer for a third time. read more

The rear yard shared fence between my neighbor and myself blew down over Christmas. We got three estimates to either repair or replace it. Fence Lifts gave the best estimate in terms of cost and was able to start within a week. Because cost was very reasonable we decided to replace the fence. Chris was very accommodating in meeting our expectations and his two man crew had the old fence removed and the new one put up exactly as we wanted. They left everything clean and neat and all in all did a fantastic job in one day. We would not hesitate to contact them for any future fence needs. read more

Fast, efficient, and done right - all the things you want when you need a new fence. Highly recommend. We hired them for two sections of fence a few years ago and it's still looking great. Reaching out today for a quote on another section of fence, and realizing that I wanted to hire them again reminded me that I should write a review. read more

Fence Lifts just completely replaced the original yard fence at my home we built in 2001 in Natomas Park. Truly 100% thrilled with the beautiful new fence and gates and recommend Fence Lifts absolutely. Just perfect, really. Thank you, Mr Gearhart and your whole crew for the remarkable professionalism and significant upgrade to the original fence and gates. Just wow. We had @ 5 bids from various contractors and Fence Lifts easily won our business. I wouldn't change a thing about the process, price and superior craftsmanship. Impressive crew easy to ask questions of and very friendly, fast work while focus is a perfect build with serious attention to detail. Wonderful experience. Thank you so much. Jay Dayvault read more

Fence Lift is a small, local business that was refreshing to deal with. My phone call for an estimate was answered promptly. Chris Sr. and Chris were able to come the same day. They were professional and assessed my wobbly fence issues. They sent an estimate the same day. I accepted their estimate and they put me on their calendar the following week. Chris Sr. kept me updated throughout. They arrived promptly on the scheduled day. They were organized and professional and completed my fence lift the same day. I highly recommend Fence Lift. read more

Too difficult to meet with and set scope of work. What you get may not be what you thought you were expecting based on email and texts. Twice set time he would be at the job site. Twice I drove there to meet, both for naught. As a result the job was NOT what I was expecting. Will not use again. read more

Can't say enough good things. Needed to replace my entire backyard fence, they were quick to come out and give me a quote that was a very reasonable price. When I was ready to schedule they were easy to work with and even laid out a clear schedule throughout the week so I could let my neighbors know what day to expect our shared portion would be replaced. The entire crew was awesome and did a better job than I honestly thought they could. The attention to detail really took it to the next level. Also in love with the custom dog run gate I had them make that is completely removable for future needs. One fence side ended up being done by another company chosen by my neighbor a week later. The difference in customer service from the foreman and crew of that other company really put into perspective how far above the competition Fence Lifts is. Can't recommend Fence Lifts enough, they really are the best quality at an amazing price. read more

After 30 years, this little side fence was In need of being replaced. I had contacted a handyman, but they referred me to fence lifts. Thomas came out and gave me an estimate That was almost half of what a handyman from a couple years ago had quoted me. Also, hard to get somebody to come out to do a small job. Had to wait a couple weeks but when he came, it was done probably within an hour and a half... So nice to have this little area back in order And not having our crazy dog crawl under the couch to get to an area she's not supposed to be in. Would highly recommend. read more

Chris is always spot on with getting back to me quickly. He does great and quick work. Highly recommend.

This review is LONG overdue. Over the last couple of years, most of my neighbors and I have been working on getting our fences replaced. I have worked with Chris and Fence Lifts for all of these projects. We all know the delays and price increases that hit over the last couple of years and doing due diligence, I did get comparison's with the first two projects. Chris was always quick to respond for the estimate appointment and his cost was more than fair. For each project, Chris and his crew were always on time and prepared, with no issues ever coming up. They were speedy but extremely efficient. On one occasion, my fence was completely blown over in a storm. Chris got to us in no time! I recommended them to a friend at work and she and her husband were also extremely happy with the process, from beginning to finished project. Do not hesitate to give Chris and Fence Lifts a call if you are looking for a trustworthy company that takes pride in a job well done!! read more

Chris was quick to respond and came right out to give me a quote on a new gate. Price was below other quotes. Quality of fence and installation were great. The owner ask me to write a review and i said yes. Fence lift is one of the company i go to when it comes to wood fencing. I usually get three bids and his price will always be the lowest. I am always happy with their workmanship. The fence they install are clean and very strong and sturdy. I like the way they install the steel post too. They clean up after themselves. I hired them 5 times already. The owner is very responsive on the text. I highly recommend this company. read more

I do not recommend Fence Lifts! We got a bid from Fence Lifts in 5/23. It took them 5 months after we received the bid for them to install the fence . After many cancelled appointments and a "no show" they finally arrived in September with the crew and supplies. Ready to install the fence. . Only to realize that they did not have the correct supplies. Apparently the estimator had incorrect information in the estimate so they didn't have the right materials to start the job. Another delay! The fence was installed on October 20, 2023. The bid stated that the steel posts to be concealed with redwood. However, only every other post was covered. Also, the guys informed me that they broke a couple of the sprinkler heads but would fix them before they finished the job. A few days later when the irrigation system was on there were MANY areas along the fence where the water was spewing from the pipes . I called to inform them of the exposed posted and.the many broken sprinkler heads and holes in the pipes. They corrected all of the issues, but they never apologized for the months of delays in starting the job, the uncovered posts and the many broker sprinkler heads and pipes. No I do not recommend Fence Lifts!! read more

Chris from Fence Lifts was very quick to respond. Had someone come down to the house and received an estimate the next day. I didn't feel any pressure to hurry up to give him an answer. Once we excepted the offer which by the way was a reasonable price. The work was done the same week. The quick response I have received was wonderful. Thomas came down and fixed the fence and we were good to go. Did a good job. Thank you all at Fence Lifts for making this such an easy project to get done. I would recommend this company. read more

Estimate and scheduling was quick and easy and they were very knowledgeable. I wanted to install a larger gate than on the original fence that they were replacing. I planned to keep the gate in the same location (simply because I hadn't considered relocating it) but they suggested installing the gate in a different location that greatly improved access and exceeded my expectations. My new fence is beautiful and more useful than the old and as soon as I am ready for the next stage of my massive fencing project (I love my giant yard, but it has SO MUCH fence), I will definitely be calling Chris at Fence Lifts again. Oh and YEARS ago they rebuilt a gate in another part of my yard and it has withstood the test of time too! Great people who do great work. I couldn't recommend them more! read more

Chris was great! After the first day of work, I noted some concerns that I discussed with Chris the following morning. He immediately apologized and thanked me for bringing it to his attention. Chris was a true professional and his team worked efficiently and effectively to get the job done. I highly recommend this company because they charge a fair price and provide quality work. I have waited about half a year to write this but can't hold out anymore. They were very quick with the job, price was normal for the job, but they are sloppy with their work (speed definitely over quality here). I have had them out at least twice already to fix my gate that was hung crooked, didn't latch right, and was attached to an old post that they failed to replace because, well, it would have been hard to do? I paid them to replace my entire gate and fence but they chose to not replace it all and leave a section of old fence, without informing me. My main issue that still isn't fixed is that there are nails all over that someone just pounded through the boards then just hammered them flat against the wood on the opposite side. They obviously ran out of nails that were the correct size or were just lazy. There are also random screws. This is in the inside of my fence, where my kids play. It's not acceptable to leave sharp metal poking out in my opinion. I have contacted them many times to fix the nails. They would come out, fix something else, then I get home to see nothing was done about the nails. Last time I was promised by the owner he would come out personally to fix it...tomorrow. Tomorrow came and went, I followed up, he said he would come out and now it's been another 3 weeks without communication. I am too busy to deal with this company and their ineptitude. I will be hiring another company to fix all their mistakes. read more

I had set up an initial consultation appointment with Chris to get a quote for an old worn out, rotten, gate I needed to get replaced. He showed up on time and gave a reasonable quote (I believe about $275 for a 4' x 6' gate). I had agreed on the price and had set up a date. If I recall correctly the lead time was about a month out due to the busyness of the rainy season. And therein lies the biggest problem I had encountered. Since I hadn't heard from him and it was the day before our scheduled appointment, I decided to call just to make sure we were still on. Well as it turned out when I called he said he wasn't going to be able to make it the appointment His reason was that it got too busy. But not only that; he would not give me a new commitment date. The fact that I had to call him to find this out, rather than him having the courtesy to call me when he decided that he was too busy to do my small job was very disappointing to say the least. The only reason I didn't give just 1 star was because his initial quote was reasonable and he was timely in showing up to the first appointment. My assessment of why this happened is a matter of simple economics. If you have a smaller job, and a bigger $$ job presents itself to him (even after he has committed to doing the work), there is a possibility you will get stood up like a high school girl on prom night. I would have been much more understanding of this if he would have been upfront in the beginning about that. read more

I wouldn't recommend Fence Lifts. Customer service is terrible and that is the most important thing for me. He did not return emails, texts, or calls in a timely manner. I had to keep calling to check in to see when he could fit my small fence project in his schedule and he kept saying he didn't have his schedule put together just yet. Even after 6 days, he still didn't have a schedule and I felt like he was stringing me along since my project was so small and he had bigger projects to tend to and he would get back to me at his convenience. I ended up hiring an awesome company, prices were better, and they came out in the morning for an estimate and completed my fence the same day. Now that's what I call great service and I will be referring them and using them for all my fencing needs! read more

Great estimates, great turn times, and great communication throughout. Our soil is more rock than dirt underneath, and there were rocks lining the entire fence area; I thought the job would be nearly impossible, but they knew exactly how to take care of it. They were in and out in a day, and the fence is absolutely beautiful; I can't quit looking at it out the window. read more

I am very happy with our new fence, installed by Fence Lifts. We collected many bids and they all came in around the same price. So the decision was left to customer service and a gut feeling. I felt listened to regarding the design I wanted and the change to the existing fence line. This company will bill you and your neighbor with separate invoices. There was an issue the morning the work crew arrived but Chris was present that morning to go over the plans one more time and was able to immediately fix the miscommunication and move forward right away. We decided to go wth Fence Lifts after getting several quotes because the reviews were good overall and the price seemed reasonable. Chris was good about communicating along the way and let us know what day and time they would arrive, which was appreciated. We share the fence with a neighbor who would need to pay half, so we just asked for something similar to what we had, which was pretty basic. Chris arrived with his crew as scheduled, but he said he had to leave to take care of something and would be back later. He didn't return and called to ask me to just give the check to his crew when they were done. The fence is very basic (good neighbor style), with one cross board on top and one on the bottom. They also installed a new gate. I wish Chris had told us about different options, even if they cost a little more, because since they installed it, I've looked more closely at other fences and noticed that some have three cross boards, for instance, which makes it more solid and closes the gap at the bottom. There are also nicer gate options which I may have been willing to pay extra for. We were newbies though, having never done this before, and to be fair, we asked for basic and that's what we got. However, there were some other issues that we were not happy about. The quality of the boards was one. (I attached a photo showing an example.) A few of the boards were completely shredded on the edges. Also, one was split when they installed it with a nail, and I had Chris come back to replace it. The crew also left some nails sticking out of the wood here and there and did a sloppy job with the cement footings and left chunks of cement all over. I think it would be a good idea for Chris to at least come back and check their work. I would if it was my business and reputation. Overall, 3 stars as we asked for a basic fence, got a basic fence, and they were on time and communicated well. read more
