I see Alyssa! She's super cool, cute and talented! Whether you want something simple or a fun dope design, she's your gurrrl! Book with her! Fellow Barbershop itself is clean and everyone is chill. I highly recommend! These are some of the designs she's done on my lil bald head previously. Thank you Alyssa

DOUG, the perfectionist coming through on my undercut!

Alright... CHECK. IT. OUT. I'm a client who's very hard to please, mainly because my sister is a hairstylist and cut my hair most of my life. She's a perfectionist and so am I. After bouncing around to about 6 different premium barber shops, trying to find the right fit, I FINALLY FOUND DOUG. Holy moly, this guy is nothing short of an ARTIST. The thing about him is he genuinely enjoys making men look their best, and that's exactly what he does. No matter what I throw at him, he always KILLS IT. I can honestly say I feel the best about my look the moment after I walk out of an appointment with Doug.

Hairline is a mess for a 89.97$ haircut

NEVER GOING BACK It was my first time at Fellow Barber today. The barber shop looked amazing. However, I couldn't say the same for the haircut I've had received. I had a senior barber name Richie, nice guy by the way. However, it seems he lacks experience in cutting hair although with 16 years of experience. Reasons 1. He didn't know how to properly give a shape up.My hairline is a mess. 2. He doesn't seem to know how to give his input with recommendations on blending the beard with a skin fade after 16 years of experience. 3. He didn't understand how to do a shape up for the eyebrows. ( until I explained it to him ). The total price of the haircut plus beard was 89.97$. Was it worth 89.97$ ? The answer - HELL NOOO. The shape up is one of the important parts of a haircut. It helps the hair stands out. To be honest, the cut I had received I've could of gotten better for only 20$. Would I recommend this place ? HELL NOOO. If a senior barber is cutting hair like this, I can only imagine what everyone else is doing.

Aside of that In a month the price went up from 40$ (beginner barber) to 50$. Today I got this for 60$ (thy charged me wrong) + 15$ tip... so here how 75$ haircut looks like I also asked to keep it long

This place is as legit as it looks. Kevin took my hair from very bad to very good! Much appreciated. I'll definitely be going back.

I sat…read morein the chair with a guy named William and he asked me what I wanted a couple of times I had to repeat myself, which was not the issue at all, but each time it felt like he was going more and more agitated when I was just trying to be clear because of course I'm not a barber so I don't know terms like "mid low or high fade". I felt him getting increasingly agitated so I just got out of the chair and said thank you and he muttered something along the lines of "youre contradicting yourself and acting like I don't know what I'm doing". It's not that I didn't think he knew what he was doing. I just wanted to make sure I was clear before he started. Seemed very much like he had v little patience but as someone who had never been there before , I didn't go in wanting smoke..I just wanted a haircut. The woman who checked me in was nice though.

The service and quality of the work is fine, but their pricing is nonexistent!…read more I moved into the neighborhood last February and in April went and got a decent haircut that cost $58.78. I thought it was a bit high, but I had been out of NYC for 7 years and accepted it, and that included a tip. I next went in July, got pretty much the same (simple) haircut and that cost $41.57, again with a tip. Much more reasonable I THOUGHT. I went in October and was charged $66.69 without a tip! WTF? I didn't go there to get SCALPED! Guess you won't miss 3 visits a year.

I know everyone here raves about her, which is why I decided to give it a go, but, ultimately, I…read morejust couldn't justify the price for the experience. Don't get me wrong, Margaret was super sweet, and my haircut wasn't bad, but if I'm going to cough up $72 (with tip) for a haircut (I know, I know, it's hard to find anything under that these days...) then I want to be absolutely ecstatic about my hair (and my overall experience!), and, well, I wasn't. For getting your hair cut in someone's house, I don't see how one should be expected to pay salon prices. Your hair is rinsed in the kitchen sink. There's no store to pay rent on. No staff to hire. Shouldn't that make the prices a little more reasonable since it's going straight into her pocket? Also, I went in to get my pixie trimmed. I thought that would qualify as a man's cut (I mean, isn't it?) but, alas, I had to pay the "being a woman" tax (but that's a rant for another day...). It's definitely not the best cut I had, though, sure, it's not horrible. Again, Margaret was very nice and she does make her space welcoming and cozy. Ultimately, though, if I'm going to pay that much money, I want the full salon experience and not feel as though I've been jipped.

I had been thinking about going blonde for a while (I'm Asian with dark brown hair), and finally…read moredecided to do so. I have to admit I was really nervous going in, because my hair wasn't in the greatest shape. A year ago, at a different salon, I had a horrible experience that left me with a severe damage line. I really wanted to make the change to blonde, but realized that I'd have to be careful... This translated into me bombarding Margaret with a ton of questions and concerns. At the fancy, expensive salon that I used to go to in Manhattan, I'd sometimes feel like the stylists were snooty and didn't have the patience to answer all my questions. Margaret really took the time to talk me through all of them, being completely realistic and honest about everything from what would look good with my skin tone to how much damage I could expect if I went platinum and what measures I should take to keep my hair healthy. After talking to her and trying out a test strand, I finally decided to go an ashy/dirty blonde, which I'm so happy with. I'm excited that I got to make a dramatic change to my hair without damaging it irreparably, like the online accounts I'd read before. It's only been two days, but I can't wait until the next time I can go back to try something new with Margaret.
