What made this even more heartbreaking is that the TVs belonged to my mother, who has recently passed away. I was already dealing with deep grief and trying to manage everything during an emotional time. Instead of receiving professionalism, compassion, and timely communication, I was left constantly following up myself after being told I would hear from the insurance company within a couple of days. In addition, after the move and installation, my 85-inch TV began flickering on and off with blue screens and lines appearing across the screen, issues it was not having beforehand. When I raised concerns about it, I was told he was not responsible for that television. Accidents can happen, but accountability, communication, and professionalism matter. The lack of urgency, concern, and follow through added unnecessary stress during one of the most difficult moments of my life. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company for transporting or handling expensive electronics.

The idea came to me that a specialist in home entertainment systems may be able to help me, This was last Saturday so I called Custom Automation Technologies, Inc. in New Albany who were open until 6 pm. The owner, Dan Hoehnen, answered my call, talked with me about my system, and said he would come out that same afternoon and take care of it. Which he did, for about 1.5 hours he skillfully integrated a Roku stick into my mini-network which consists of an 11 year old plasma TV, a DVR, Spectrum cable box, a 11 year old DVD player all controlled by an 11 year old Bose Life Style sound system. Others had failed at this integration task, but Dan knew exactly what had to be done. He explained every step as he worked so that when he was finished I had full Roku capability on my system. He also explained how I should access and use the new feature, even helping me to document every step in the process. To top it off, he invited me to call him anytime I have a problem or a question. I needed to replace my hard drive. I started receiving errors on 2 year old Dell Inspiron computer…read morewith Intel 1TB hard drive. On startup (suddenly) I started seeing a Dell Alarm screen reporting bad disk sector(s). I have MS Windows 10 - Office 2016. One very knowledgeable tech came and looked at it and his opinion was it was a "false positive" and to simply continue backing up which I did for a while... backing up around 400,000 data files plus two (current and archive) Ouitlook .pst files. I also purchased a replacement 1 TB hard drive ( Samsung 1 TB 870 "EVO SSD hard drive and SSD/HDD mounting frame at Microcenter.... just in case. Being nervous Nellie myself I finally researched to find another reliable computer expert tech to replace. Luckily I cam across Justin Brown at Fit-It Computer Repair - Columbus OH. Justin came and picked up the computer and returned it the next day. He basically mirrored the entire drive to assure that it would be exactly the same as the old system ... this basic copies .. sector-by-sector and installs on the new disk the great advantage being ... none of the software has to be reinstalled and none of the settings ... a mirror of the original. I could not be happier and to add to it Justin is very competent and a great person to work with. I would give "10 stars" if I could.
