I was violent and had to be restrained twice in the first 3 days. i ended up staying for 16 days, with the first few days being very rough for me mentally. I can honestly say that I am completely greatful for the treatment I received there. The staff, especially those who restrained me were absolutely professional. I was not hurt at all even while being restrained by 12 people. They were truly experts at their jobs. After my stay I left feeling like myself again. I want to thank Dr. Asif for working closely with me on my medication plan, helping me with not only my schizophrenia but also my anxiety and depression. I also want to thank all the nurses, therapists, food preppers, cleaning staff, techs and security (one of which I bit during a psychotic episode, sorry about that :/) who are very underappreciated for the work they do, and helped me 24/7, going out of their way many times to help me. Even after my schizophrenic episodes the staff did nothing but make me feel protected, being friendly and making me feel like I was a valuable member of society again. I apologize for the long ramble but the guys and gals at this hospital deserve respect and acknowledgement for the work they do. I am getting my life back because of them, and I have nothing but love, respect and admiration for what they do. I wish the hospital was better funded, added more healing activities like sports and was more taken of financially by the state government. Without this help I could have been hurt or even worse, I could have died. So thank you to all of the staff for making my stay a very productive and healthy one. Called them 3 days in a row multiple times and left messages. Could never actually talk to someone. The did call back once....while I was teaching and did not leave me a message about how to contact someone. A bill for a missed phone appointment sure did arrive on time! What a SCAM/JUNK waste of a place! Go anywhere else!
