I was not feeling that great physically so I decided to chill in my room this day and order some take out. I came across this place on DoorDash and thought, "Hmm they sound good." After doing a little research I found out that they do New York Style bagels, something I've never had. Why not try some while close to New York? I ordered a Lox Bagel Sandwich on Salted Garlic, Toasted Bagel, a small Coffee with Maple Syrup and Almond Milk and a Propel Water. That sandwich was everything and the salted garlic option was the best choice I could have made! The bagel while toasted was still so soft and tasted differently from every other bagel I've ever had. My mom would probably say "it's the water". Maybe she's right. I loved it. The coffee was delicious too. Everything Maple while in Vermont, right? Definitely worth the order and it made me feel a little better. Thanks a bunch! read more

Service.. My first yelp review ever...Bagels were good but, service was dreadful. Service person was very harried with another order, snapped at me several times, but eventually seemed to chill. Regardless I tipped. Not happy when I got home and the cream cheese I ordered and paid for was not in my order. Probably won't go back when there are other options. read more

Very good bagels, very polite and friendly staff. Good coffee. Plenty of seating. Definitely recommended

We stay up in Colchester every summer and always make it a point to stop at Feldman's for a great, quick breakfast. There's always a variety of bagels and the cold brew hits everytime. I definitely recommend this place! We always have great service and i love that your food is brought to our seat. read more

I walked in for a lox bagel, and a plain on plain. I received two cream cheese bagels for $16.54, 10/10 Would return. (Not sarcasm) The bagels were great. Thank you for being open before 8 am. read more

The service was excellent and the assortment of bagels were great. My only comment is that while the bagels are of a good size, the bagel hole is so large that it's really tough to schmear and make a sandwich at least the way I like it. But that, notwithstanding, they were excellent bagels read more

I got here around 8:30 am on a weekday and this place was packed. I got a bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel and it was really good. I'd come back again although I prefer Myer's Bagels simply because I love their Montreal Spice bagels. read more

I have eaten here often enough to say Feldman's Bagels is trending downward fast. Seems they are out of everything very disorganized, and the facility lacks cleanliness. after two attempts I still could not receive what I ordered. I even watched the counter help hand a customer a take out order and tell the customer they had no bags sorry. It would save a lot of time if they just told you what they did have. Don't waste your time here, read more

They mess up every single time I have placed an order for pickup. They simply can't count. You order 48 bagels and only receive 44. You order 15 and only receive 12. Incredibly unprofessional and the manager accepts no responsibility. read more

Lox and roll they say, so all four of us got the lox on either everything or whole wheat. Service was friendly and no frills, food came out quickly although it was late Saturday afternoon with only a few customers after all. Bagel sandwiches were good, and I just feel like I need to come back and try something different to see if they still deliver, which means they certainly did on this visit. I like the water dispenser and big clean bathrooms, and would like to return for something else. Oh, their olive and pimento cream cheese was awesome! read more

After purchasing a dozen bagels for the second time in about 3 weeks from the Shelburne Rd store the second dozen was also very stale, not just stale, but so stale my bagel cutter had tough time getting through them. I called the Pine Street store, because I couldn't get through to Shelburne road store. The answer when I told them my problem was "Oh yes, I think they received yesterday bagels. I will call them and see what we can do" OK fine. When I received the reply "Well you can come to the Pine Street store and we will replace them" to which I replied " I am disabled, which I am and the parking loot is difficult for me to manage as it is on a slope." At which point I just said I would just get my bagels from their competition. I really answer would have been we will have someone bring up a fresh dozen either today or tomorrow. I would have been delighted with that. They do come up to Shelburne everyday to deliver "fresh" bagels. Under the circumstances that should have been the easy reply. They would have had a happy customer instead of a former customer. read more

No air conditioning. It's at least 85 degrees in the dining area. I can't believe the employees deal with this all day long. Imagine being in the back next to the oven baking bagels all day. This is inhumane. read more

Growing up in NY and NJ, I have been blessed with an overabundance of excellent bagels. Yet with this blessing comes the dreadful curse that no bagel outside the NY metro area could ever compare. I've had bagels in Florida (blech), Chicago (ehhh), Puerto Rico (no thanks) with no luck. With that being said: I introduce you to Feldman's Bagels in Burlington, VT. I have been coming to this city for over 30 years with the better of bagels at Bruegger's which was no comparison to local establishments in NYC, but Feldman's is a welcomed site. The staff are friendly and the eating area is clean with nice paintings hung for all to see. Enjoy....Yums!!!! read more

Originally written and posted from a duplicate on 5/3/2013: The bagels are the real deal and it's the only place that offers bialys. I was impressed as they got it right from the start. The staff is friendly. It just reminds me of my hometown in Lower East Side Manhattan with authentic NY style bagels. If you didn't eat a NY style bagel in NY from a Jewish bakery or eat a H&H bagel, you have not eaten a real bagel or a bialy. Update: I go here less frequently, maybe every few months, because the bagels are okay but not as good as the owner's previous shop called Burlington Bagel Bakery & Cafe in South Burlington. I go into Feldman's if I don't want to travel far for a bagel. read more

I used to pick up bagels on each of my NYC trip, but I don't need to do that anymore. Feldman's is the closest thing I have found to NYC bagels. I've tried the different brands of bagels that are available through Hunger Mountain Food Coop, City Market, Burlington Bagel, etc. I wouldn't compare these the Myer's Bagel... Montreal Style Bagels are a totally different beast (also delicious). Feldman's is about 1.3 miles from my office, and it's totally worth the walk! I've also gotten their whitefish bagel sandwich and matzo ball soup. read more

I tried every bagel shop in Burlington and surrounding areas. This one is the best. The Bagels are delicious and the coffee is great. The store has a cozy cafe feel to it. Bagel sandwiches are good too. read more

If I could give no stars, I would. I went in for a bagel this morning (April 22) around 7:00 am, the manager (??) was there with his young son. He was loudly telling another staff member "No, don't fire her. Just put her on the schedule for one hour a week for the next month and make her quit that way". There is nothing less appealing than listening to a manager broadcast the crappy way they treat their employees, and it really gives some insight into why this restaurant may be "understaffed". Treat your employees with respect. read more

Again a terrible experience here today...I tried ordering a roast beef sandwich but they were out so then I tried ordering the soup they had listed on their menu and the online menu and was quickly informed that they have no soup but they will at some point... newsflash people don't falsely advertise something when you don't have it...bring back Breuggars please. read more

Mainly a bagel and coffee place, there is a small menu for sandwiches but for the price, I wouldn't recommend getting a breakfast sandwich here. If you're coming here for breakfast definitely try out the medium selection of interesting bagel and cream cheese fillings. The size if the bagels is roughly medium size, which for me was kind of disappointing. I got the pumpernickel bagel with walnut honey cream cheese filling, it was tasty but wasn't exactly delicious. Coffee is of standard taste. I recommend going here for an easy breakfast date with someone since the ambiance is great, lots of lighting, and there's a place for dogs outside, but that's about it. read more

Okay bagel, tried the parmesan black pepper. It was neither peppery nor cheesy enough. Nothing special, coffee was okay.

Well...sorry but YUCK! Fruit flies everywhere in the middle of winter. No milk or cream for horrible coffee. Staff was very slow and non enthusiastic. I will not be back! read more

Bagels as they should be! Great selection of bagels, cream cheeses, and bagel sandwiches.

Amazing bagels - got the onion bagel with cream cheese and a sliced tomato on top. They had three different Tofutti cream cheese flavors which was convenient for those who are dairy free and it tasted great. Really great quality, everything looked very clean inside and very covid safe - all workers wearing masks/gloves etc. Recommend this as a place to stop! read more

I used to think that bagels were just a bulky vehicle for cream cheese. Feldman's Bagels opened in my work neighborhood, and I have since seen the light! Their bagels are amazing, the staff is consistently kind, friendly and patient. The space is airy and comfortable. On top of that, they make their own pickles, bagel dogs and soup! The matzo ball soup is worth it's weight in gold! I have taken to bringing it to any friends who get sick. The coffee is great, and my boys love that they can get hot chocolate! Thank you Maddy and Roy. You're a great neighbor. Ita read more

When I first arrived in Burlington, in the 1970's, there were no locally made NY style bagels. I returned from every trip home to NJ with a few dozen frozen bagels, the best I could do, but definitely a compromise. When Roy Feldman opened the original Burlington Bagel Bakery in 1979, my prayers were answered This New England college town spawned other bagel shops, not surprising, given the large population of students and settlers hailing from the NYC area. The BBB was sold after about 9 years. Roy, with his daughter Maddy, opened Feldman's Bagels in 2013, in a former tire store. I'm as fond as ever of their authentic, crispy crusted traditional fare, along with other delights from my childhood; bialys, chicken soup with matzoh balls, kosher salami sandwiches, and more. A variety of spreads, including a yogurt softened light cream cheese and a very tasty pesto cream cheese, cater to more contemporary palettes. Bright and airy, with a library cart full of books to peruse, Feldman's rejects the production line feel of many such establishments. Around back, the former garage bays of this converted tire store are being rented as studio spaces for local artists, furthering the exploding dynamism of Burlington's south end arts district. Well done, Feldmans! read more

What makes Feldman's unique is the size of the bagel not overly large, not small mind you, just not gigantic. Perfect for sandwiches. They have great veggie sausage as a vegetarian much appreciated. Great service and the atmosphere is retro industrial. Only minus is the parking. But have never not gotten a space. Just minutes from downtown and the waterfront. A must stop for breakfast. read more

Feldman's is the perfect Burlington Bagel. I know there are fan bases for every local bagel place in the area, and with that knowledge I am very much a fan of Feldman's. After trying the other area bagels in the area for years, Feldman's arrival was no surprise. The real surprise was the taste and texture of the bagels. They are markedly different from the other area bagels. The bagels here seem to be the definitive bagel that I have always wished for. The bagels are true bagels - much like bagels available in other much larger eastern seaboard cities. Please be sure to stop in here and first try a bagel with some cream cheese before branching out into sandwiches or other more adventurous combos. read more
