I would not buy a car here if it were the last car dealership in the state. I made the mistake a few weeks ago in filling out an online form requesting a car I am looking for. On the form I indicated clearly that my preferred method of contact was email. Within moments of clicking send, I get a phone call from a salesman. I tell him that I'm just walking into a work meeting and ask him to email me. He proceeds to call me fairly regularly, ignoring the fact that I had asked for email communication. In any case I decided to stop by and see what they had to offer. What a mistake. When someone finally approached us to offer help, I gave the name of the the salesman who had been calling me. They mumbled that they would go find him. They never returned. Later another staffer approached and asked if we were being helped. Same thing, they went off in search of my salesman, and never returned. I'm guessing he was not working that day, but apparently the thought never occurred to these staff members to follow up and offer another sales rep. After we got bored waiting I approached the reception desk and asked for any salesman. A stereotypical car salesman with a dark suit, slick backed greasy gray hair and 1980s stainless and gold Rolex slipped in from the back, went to his desk and grabbed a breath mint, believing I'm guessing, that this would mask the stench of cigarettes from his breath and clothes. He was wrong. He clearly had almost zero interest in helping us. We had evidently failed to impress him. Reluctantly he took down information about the type of car we were shopping for and contact info. He promised to have someone call us back the next business day and follow up. Needless to say, he never did. Which is no real surprise. He had all the sincerity of a guy who had worked his whole life lying, cheating, and trying to impress others. He somehow believed that because he worked among expensive cars, it made him special. Between the unwanted phone intrusions, and the horrific first impressions walking into the showroom, I would not dream of spending my money here. I bought my last Mercedes at Sears (the other Benz retailer locally), and will certainly go back there for my next. Feldmans is closer to my new home, but I don't care. I'd rather drive to Duluth to buy one (if I had to) than deal with this bunch of narcissists with no concept of customer service. If they act like this when they are trying to earn your business, I can only imagine how they treat you once they already have your money. If you make the ill-advised trip to this office, good luck to you, I hope you find some better staff than we did. You certainly won't find me there. read more

I will never spend another dollar at Feldman. I was told that a service package I bought two years ago when I leased my vehicle and specifically asked about the package did not contain what I was told it contained when I bought it. When I asked to speak with the individual who sold it to me I was told this person no longer worked at the dealership. When I asked to speak with a manager I was told someone would get back to me who never did. When I called back I was told they could not help me and the paperwork had been lost. When I called the owner and left a message I received no return call. The service person I worked with threatened me when I told him I would be making a complaint about the way I was treated. Isn't it good to have an update after a bad review? Because in a true happy ending, everyone's a winner. I received a call from Feldmann imports on Monday, technically after one business day of posting my previous review. On behalf of the owner, I received utmost regrets from their office regarding the lapse in communication during the transaction. They will also be compensating me for the difference between the Initial agreed-upon payment and the final payment. The dealership could have simply ignored my review and went on with their business but for the reason that they decided to follow up and take corrective action for what happened, it is only fair that i append an update to my review. I believe that they are sincere in their commitment for providing good customer service and the owners want to do their best to deal with any complaints that may arise and do care about their clients. read more

We have been Mercedes customers at Feldmann Imports for several years now. Our experience with the sales organization has been so-so as we have had a different sales represent for every car we purchased or leased. We had a great experience with our first sales rep, but our second was so awful (slippery) we ended up buying the car elsewhere. Our latest experience was good. I must say that the finance department has always been solid at Feldmann, with involvement beyond simply getting the paperwork completed. Pat Schwamm has been one of the great constants at Feldmann, where he has helped us out not only before the sale or lease but long after the deal. Our mistake in the past when we have had bad experiences was to not reach out to Pat to help us better navigate organization. The service department at Feldmann simply rocks! They always make sure we are happy. On occasions when we have had issues, they made it right without hesitation. All of our MB vehicles have been maintained in tip-top shape on the normal Mercedes-Benz maintenance schedule, needing additional maintenance (both in-warranty and out-of-warranty) only occasionally. I appreciate that they provide clear estimates and stay within their estimates. They have treated both my wife and I the same at all times, which my wife really appreciates since she often feels vulnerable with auto maintenance matters. I also appreciate this because it makes her more willing to take the time to bring our cars in for maintenance. Such service usually costs me a purchase from the gift shop (a devious institution). One occasion stands out for me. During the winter before last I noticed a shudder when my car would make tight turns. I was unable to figure out what was wrong on my own without success, so I finally stopped by the dealership when I was in the area. The offered to take a look immediately so I sat and waited. I ended up waiting a couple hours, but they kept me up-to-date on the progress. The tech had a hard time duplicating and then isolating the source of the shudder; they had to perform multiple test drives and hoist it up a couple times to look under the car. Once the cause of the shudder was found they fixed it and said I didn't owe them for the fix. They know what it takes for us to keep coming back. read more

Looking back at my past experience with the service department, this time was much nicer. We dinged up our wheel on an icy day (hitting a curb) and had to get an alignment. Called and they were able to get our car in right away (the monday before thanksgiving). I used the complimentary shuttle to get to work and they took care of everything that day. We drove the car for a few days and noticed a noise, one of the bearings went bad when we hit the curb, and the alignment was still just a little off. We were disapointed that they had not taken it for a test drive to see if there was anything else wrong, but i'm not sure if that is the standard practice with an alignment. So we brought it back, described the noise and had a service gentleman ride along with us to hear what was going on, they quoted us the bearing price and fixed it that day. Best Roadside Assistance Program I woke up to a very flat tire and needed more than air. Low and behold when I flipped my visor down there was a 24 hour 800 number to call. A friendly, helpful gentleman immediately answered my call and within 15 minutes there was Technician, Christian Cruz , to my rescue. Christian was kindhearted towards me as he probably sensed that I was a little out of sorts. Again within minutes Christian had my spare on and I was on my way. What could have been a stressful experience was nothing short of a minor inconvenience. The funny thing is that I did not even know I had this service and it cost me absolutely nothing! I live in Kansas City and recently purchased a 2018 Mercedes S-Class 560 from Feldmann Imports in Minneapolis. The pre-sales support was awesome -- super responsive -- but since the purchase I have had difficulty getting anyone to answer calls. I'm trying to register my car in KS and I cannot get it inspected without a title. I received so many documents -- some to sign and return and some to keep. It was fairly overwhelming since I'm unfamiliar with the process so have been trying for day to reach out for assistance. When I call the person who sent the documents, the phone rings and rings -- no answer -- no voice mail. I tried call the manager, thinking I could at least get a manager, but again no answer. When I call the main number and the phone also rings and rings with NO answer. After multiple attempts, I finally connected with a live person last week, left a message and still have not yet received a return phone call. I also own an Acura and when I call the Jay Wolfe Acura dealership in Kansas, someone answers the phone on the first ring. Perhaps each dealership goes by a different standard but I believe customer service should be at the forefront, even after the sale is made. read more

I bring my car here for service - have for nearly 10 years - and really appreciate the level of service I get here. I know I likely pay a bit more, but I honestly feel like I get something more by coming here as well. They have an awesome lounge to wait while your car is being worked on (TV, wireless, coffee, cookies, etc) and can do the shuttle or rental car thing for you if the repair is going to take longer. The people you interact with are very nice and professional, and I love that I drive inside to drop off. They wash the car inside and out when done. Overall I have been very pleased with the service here, and plan to continue to bring my car here for its routine (and non-routine) maintenance and repairs. read more

Weird how they removed my recent negative review; not sure how they do it but it's consistent with my car shopping experience at Feldman's. When I identified a car on their show floor I was interested in they ran my credit card for a $500 deposit. Then the 'fun' really began. While we were working on the numbers they informed me that another party was interested in the car that I had made a deposit on. A couple of hours later they told me that the car was actually sold to yet another party who had purchased it hours before the other party was looking. What a complete and total cluster. Then they suggested that we find a car in a different site and that I pay for transport. Really? Amazing arrogance throughout the entire process. Went on to purchase a Benz elsewhere for a better price and treated like a human being. Will never return. Read the reviews. Looks like my experience was not isolated. read more

In most ways, they provide good service. But when I bought a used car from them, even though I had a pre-approved loan, they were insistent upon trying to set up the financing themselves, repeatedly giving my credit rating hits, for which I had to sit and wait for almost 2 hours. Then they finally tell me that they could arrange a loan for about 8%, when my pre-approved loan was for under 3%. Very inconvenient, time costly, and didn't do my credit rating any good, and I wasn't very pleased. The car I bought was in like new condition, even though it was 4 years old, but due to higher than average mileage, I accepted it without any warranty. That wasn't really a problem for me, since the make of the vehicle is one of the most dependable in the market. My offer was several hundred under their asking price, but when I returned home after the purchase, I discovered that they had lowered it by that amount anyway, (end of month) before I had even started negotiating! read more

My ML transmission broke down at about 90k miles and had to be replaced (Mercedes brand isn't like what it used to). Dealer gave me a break on costly repair which is nice of them, otherwise I was ready to just donate the vehicle to charity instead of fixing more than it's market value. I live 2 hours away and arranged for them to leave keys inside the car so I can pick it up at night. Someone left the cabin lights on and it drained the battery! I have to call roadside assistance at the middle of the cold in the dealer grounds! A reflection of how these brand's quality is going. Very frustrating. And as mentioned in other reviews, it looks like this place is selective on clientele they want to cater on. Whoever picks up the call at mb roadside assistance isn't very helpful either. Do not buy from here unless you like to be forgotten about after they get your money! I purchased a used vehicle from here, which turned into the worst car buying experience ever. During the delivery of the vehicle, someone ended up locking both keys in the glovebox (dealer blamed transport company, transport company blamed dealer, and I was the one who got screwed). I ended up not being able to lock the vehicle for almost 2 weeks since the keys were locked in the glovebox, and anyone who wanted to open the door and start the car could have driven off in the car if they wanted to. (The only way this could've happened is someone locked the glovebox while it was open, then threw both keys in and then shut the locked glovebox door shut.) I tried to order another key from my local BMW dealer, but I couldn't because the the Feldmann didn't submit the paperwork to register the vehicle in my state. They didn't even put a temporary tag on the vehicle when they delivered it, and I had to request one from them. I finally convinced my local BMW dealer to let me order a new key to give me access to the glovebox after 2 weeks (which wasn't cheap), so I'm finally able to lock up my car now, but wasted $400 on buying a third key that I can't even use, and a beat up glovebox from the locksmith who couldn't open it. I've left multiple voicemails with managers and the person who is supposed to be in charge of the registration paperwork, as well as emailed her multiple times, but have gotten NO calls back or returned emails. I've spoken to my sales rep, and a manager of another department who have told me they would make sure the issue with my registration was handled, yet it's been almost 2 MONTHS and the registration paperwork still has not even been submitted!!! Talk about taking your money and running... I've given ample opportunities for them to email and call me back to resolve the issue, but the ball keeps getting dropped and I'm extremely disappointed in the lack of service I've received. As a high end car dealer, you would expect top notch service, but I had WAY better service from the Kia dealer I bought my commuter car from. DO NOT buy a car from here unless you like getting screwed over and forgotten. These people are extremely unreliable and unprofessional, and only care about taking your money and not delivering on the rest of their responsibilities after the sale is made. read more

My partner and I took out a 27 month contract on a C300, this had service included. We took it in for a service, they said the wheel alignment was out and for a special price of around $130 they could sort it. I declined their offer, took it to a tire dealer who checked the car for free and said there was nothing wrong with the wheels. Seems Feldman were trying to get paid money for something that was not necessary. Also, we turned the car in 4 months early, no discount offered. Then we found out we had to pay a $500 fee to turn the car in at the end of rental. This fee was not mentioned when we took out the rental. I'd advise anyone considering a car from here to shop around the other dealers and read everything before signing, better still take contract home to think about it first. read more

I have mixed reviews about Felmann Imports. This was my first car purchase at a dealership and I didn't really know what to expect. Michael Arbisi was the one that was helping me out. He was very pushy and made me feel rushed into buying a Mercedes after the test drives. I didn't like either of the 2 cars I test drove. He asked me what he could do to make me fall in love with one of them, I said nothing. I saw a beautiful 2019 C300 on the show room floor that I really liked. He got frustrated while explaining the purchase agreement to me and started to argue about it and even rolled his eyes at me. This was not professional at all. I felt like walking out after that but I didn't. He forgot to mention that the car I bought had rim protectors and I never realized they were sticking half way out of the tires and were scratched very badly. I had to email him pictures when I got home and he said he forgot to mention that to me. Really? There was also an air tire cap missing as well. It upset me because I feel like he was more focused on selling me the car rather then looking it over to make sure everything was perfect and ready to go. I had an appointment to get the clear shield put on with the service team and Michael asked me to reschedule it so the detailing department would not charge me to have the rims taken out and a new air cap put on. He said the service team would charge me if they were the ones to do it. I signed the papers at the service department before leaving my car and nothing was charged for their services to take out the rim protectors and have a new cap put on the tire. I think Michael needs a little more training because most of this process was very stressful and rushed. read more

We have a GL450 and decided to take Feldmann's up on the offer for a free oil change. Classic marketing to introduce a dealership's service shop (profit center) to owners that purchased elsewhere. When making the appointment, the person was very professional. When I came in the experience was fine. However, the concern is on the actual service after handing the keys over. When making the appointment I was quoted a 1 hour turn-around for the oil change. A generous amount of time so I was confident that it would be turned in that hour. My car was the second one into the shop this morning. Well into hour 3 of the oil change, the car is still not ready and there has been no communication from the service people. Not good service, but in the context of a customer acquisition offer, surprising. On the plus side the coffee is fine and the gentleman charged with maintaining that area was without question the most helpful and courteous person I've run into at the dealership. read more

After filling out an estimate request online I immediately received a call to set up an appointment to have Feldmann's check out my Mercedes. I set up an appointment for 1:00 and received another call confirming the appointment. I drove 64 miles, arrived at 1:00, gave the reception person the key and went to the waiting area. I could see the car from where I was sitting and never noticed anyone going out to it. After 48 minutes I went to ask the reception person to see if anyone had looked at the car and to get my key. He came back with the key and said no one had checked out the car because they didn't even know I was there! I could see them in their glass office area and no one had the guts to come out and apologize or offer to check it quick. Instead they sent the poor reception guy back to an obviously angry potential customer. No thank you! If you want to feel invisible, go to Feldmann Imports. Wow, this place is tops. Went in for service and was treated excellently by Don. He handled everything smoothly. I worked with Rick on figuring out the problem - he's a genius! - and he knew right away what was going on. Bryan, the new driver, delivered my car when it was done (seats set to my setting, car in beautiful condition, radio set to my channel). Best of all, my CPO warranty through Mercedes covered the costs. I came back the following week and got a CPO 2014 GL450 with my wife from Scott Babcock. I have visited Feldman's Mercedes several times in the past and have found that they have a wonderful culture of customer service. My last couples of visits were extremely pleasant. While I was waiting I was able to get my shoes shined, and if I wanted a manicure and back massage. That together with the free coffee and water in the waiting lounge. My service representative was very helpful and courteous regarding some of the other issues I had with my car that needed attending to. I have been to several dealerships in the past and would highly recommend the service department at Feldman's. read more

This dealership does not honor its promos and coupons and will say anything to get out of it. My husband took our car in to get a service done that we found a coupon for that was free for first-time customers. Initially, they were fine with accepting the coupon but then after the service was done they said they couldn't give us the discount because the car had been there with a previous owner. There was no fine print that stated anything about the car being there before and how were we suppose to know that it had. Management does NOT care about their customer satisfaction or customer loyalty. We went out of our way to go there but we definitely won't return! read more

Went to Feldman Imports to have my car serviced in 2012, they told me I needed to have my power steering pump replaced for $1,200.00. I drove the vehicle without problem until 2014. At that point I went to them for an unrelated repair, when I picked up my vehicle, the power-steering was much noisier than before i dropped the vehicle off to them. After inquiring about the cost of the repair, to my surprise I was quoted $1,400.00. After paying the $1,400.00 for the repairs and driving the vehicle for 1 month, the power-steering noise persisted. When i took the vehicle back to Feldman Imports, I was quoted $4200.00. Ultimately, this ended in litigation. In the future, I won't be shopping with Feldman and definitely not using there servicing. The service guys are nice, warm, shake your hands, give you coffee, then rip you off. Do business with Feldman service, at your own peril. read more

To: Mike Popp. My expectations when negotiating a vehicle purchase are quite modest. Work with a professional organization that has integrity and treats me with respect. You were arrogant when I walked in for a scheduled appointment with you, passing me off to one of your underlings. You did this because you didn't want to do the work of helping me find a car. You then sat behind the desk socializing with your colleagues while I wasted my time sitting in a vehicle with your sales associate, who btw, knew nothing about your inventory or what I explicitly discussed with Zach on the phone. Zach gave this information to you, you ignored it and blew me off. And just to get all the facts on the table, I told Zach (internet phone sales) I'd like to be ~$32-33k, which he said was a range you could work with whether buying a car from your inventory or at Mercedes auction where you could buy me a car that best suited my needs. That's why I came in, not to waste my time with someone that takes notes and walks them back and forth to you. Please, I've been around the block more than once to play that game. And let me guess, the buying from auction was simply a tactic to get me in the door, right? Not a very honest practice. I spoke with Zach yesterday morning and he confirmed giving you all my specifics, twice on Monday and again yesterday. I hadn't heard back from anyone at Feldman since my visit Monday. Hopefully we're now clear on all the facts. I've been a Feldman customer the past six years and like my current leased '14 E350. That is why I came in to buy one, but you've left me with a bad taste about Feldman and I think anyone considering Feldman would want to know how prospective customers are now treated - I wish I was. We went to Feldmann Imports this past Friday prepared to purchase a Mercedes GLK350. We waited some time before a sales person finally approached us. We met Boris, who let us take the vehicle for a test drive. When we returned we were ready to talk numbers. Boris went to another desk less than five feet from us and whispered with another sales person while preparing the documents. Which we thought was odd. When he came back to his desk, Boris proceeded to present us with a lease payment of $841/month for a $44k vehicle. My husband and I were in shock. Boris then showed us two different options, none of the options were even reasonable based on the MSRP of the vehicle. To make the situation even more interesting, we are USAA members, so we were to receive a $2000 discount on the price of the vehicle. When Boris tried to show us how he came up with the numbers, he kept subtracting the $2000, and then adding $500. This made absolutely no sense. My husband immediately started negotiating, which seemed to infuriate Boris. He then began lecturing my husband about money and leasing, etc. We were not "newbies" to leasing. His lecture was inappropriate and unprofessional. Boris proceeded to tell us that he could find us a vehicle that could better fit our "budget", but we would not be able to get the GLK350. He then made fun of us to the sales person at the adjacent desk, who then proceeded to roll his eyes at us and say, "good luck". Needless to say, my husband and I were mortified. We left feeling awful. The next morning, we called Sears Imports in Minnetonka. My husband told the sales person the monthly payment we wanted and asked what they could do for us. Not only did Sears make it work, they did the entire deal over the phone. The numbers added up, we put no money down, and we picked up our GLK350 that afternoon.
