The best in all areas! We have been through hell and back with NexGen. Whatever you do don't ever ask anything from this company. Our 3 year old air conditioner stopped working Friday. We had a NexGen tech come out Sat 6:30 P.M. After an hour of him puttering around asking us what we touched, what did we do wrong. He provided no service in fixing the problem. It seemed like he was building a case to state their 10 year part warranty is no longer valid. He said it would be over $3,000 to fix two bad circuit boards. That he had he had to order the boards and he would call us Monday and install Tuesday or Wednesday. He also then stated that may not even fix the problem and we might need an entire new system. He said he would call his supervisor and get us some portable air conditioning units. That never happened. We spent over $500 getting our own units. It is triple digit weather and we were doing our best to survive. Monday we got some second opinions. The only light of hope we have had in this entire problem has Fel-Air. Their technician, Omar was professional, prompt and explained not only the problem, but exactly what type of unit we had. He had it figured out in 20 minutes. He gave us reasonable options. He also said we should give NexGen the option to make it right. NexGen sent portable air units to our house after 10:30 p.m. that tripped all the breakers. It was a bandaid on a problem that should have been fixed. Tuesday We were promised the level 4 supervisor technician will be out at 9: a.m. Nope he called out. Another portable unit was delivered after 10:30 p.m. Omar texted us saying he had the part we needed and that it was covered under warranty. ( kicking myself that I didn't drop NexGen right there) We were promised that the supervisor would be at our home on Wednesday morning promptly between 9-10 a.m. They did not show at that time. Omar texted us and said he had an opening the next day. (Again kicking ourselves that we didn't jump on this In hoped NexGen would not let us down for the fifth time) They have a life time warranty that guarantees disappointment and headaches. The supervisor from NexGen called and said the technicians were in route and will be there in 30 minutes about 11:30. Five minutes later the same tech who said we needed more than $3,000 worth of work is coming to our house with his supervisor. He said he would be here in an hour his supervisor Andy said it was 30 minutes. He corrected himself and said yeah 30 minutes. I called the supervisor and said I don't want that technician in my house. The supervisor said let me make some calls. To my surprise the technician showed up with his supervisor and told my husband they never ordered the parts so they couldn't fix it today. They also said the reason why was because the technician burned out his cornea staring at our UV light on our system and he has been out of work. Also that the supervisor had to bring him because he doesn't have his tools and has to use his technicians. Wow with such a big company as Nex Gen I would think there would be better contingency plans to service their customers. Nope they don't. After all this they were going to honor the warrant and only charge service. They had to still get the part. We told them forget it. We want to be treated well as much as being provided good service. Fel-Air has us now as customers for life. We can't say enough great things about Omar. We have recommended them to do air conditioning for local businesses like DeJong Dairy. NexGen tried to rip us off for $3,000 not honor the warranty and sell us a new unit. The supervisors only response was it wasn't me, I'm a nice guy. You know what they say about anyone that tells you who they are instead of showing who they are. Omar texted us immediately, seriously his response time is amazing. He was always looking out for us even if it meant he wasn't making the sale. He didn't try to up charge us or immediately sell us a new unit. If you are looking for a licensed contractor to repair, or install a new A/C system for your home this may be the MOST IMPORTANT review you will EVER READ. Okay now for my review on Fel-Air Heating A/C. Let me first say it is EXTREMELY difficult to find an honest A/C contractor. Most of the ones I have experienced are dishonest, and try to sell you a new system instead of repairing your existing one. I went thru 7 contractors before I found an honest one. Last year my A/C was damaged from a power surge after a blackout. If you ever experience a blackout make sure your A/C, home electronics, and other appliances are turned off before power is restored otherwise they may get damaged when power is turned back on. This happened just before winter. One of the companies we first called was NEXGEN. The tech who came over was initially left alone for a few minutes with the outside unit. When I went outside to greet him he was crouched down behind the unit. I yelled good morning, and his head popped up. He said with a big smile I know what your problem is. He pointed to some fresh shinny oil that was on the ground, and completely around the entire until. I thought that was odd for three reasons. 1. That oil was not there the day before when I checked on the unit after it broke. 2. There was no oil on the inside of the unit. 3. How can you say you know what is wrong before you even turn on the A/C ? By the way when my A/C was repaired by Fel-Air it passed the leak and vacuum tests with NO LEAKS found, so you can guess how that fresh oil got there and by who. After I wasted money on that service call I remembered I had American Home Shield (AHS), but the holidays were coming and we decided to wait until summer to have the A/C repaired. When summer came I filed a service request with AHS. If you have AHS dump them, they are a rip off and will pay for very little of your actual repair costs. AHS sent a company called Anthem to my house. Anthem in my opinion was a price gouger and rip off. My out of pocket costs would have been approximately $2800. WTF? That's right $2800 ( I could buy a whole new outdoor unit for half that cost), they wanted to charge me for things that were not needed like a new circuit breaker, and gouge me on R22 refrigerant at $110 a pound, that's a 1000% mark up. They said my system needed 11 LBS. It actually only needed around 8 LBS. It was cheaper for me to pay for everything out of my own pocket then go through AHS. After contacting several contractors I ended up choosing Fel-Air. In my opinion they were the only ones who were honest, and not trying to BS me. My A/C had a bad compressor. Initially a gentleman named Ronnie came out to install my new compressor. He was very fast and professional, but unfortunately the new compressor I supplied to them for installation was defective, so I had to order another one. After the replacement compressor arrived a gentleman named Jesse came out to install it, he was also fast, professional and very knowledgeable. He got my A/C up and running with minimal added costs despite coming out twice to install a compressor. I am very satisfied with Fel-Air. They were honest, fast, and charged me a fraction of what other companies wanted. I will ONLY use them in the future. They are most deserving of a 5 STAR rating, and I strongly recommend them. read more

Just to start this review out i'am the operations manager of a pool company and am very familiar in traveling out to customers houses to do evaluations and quotes for customers. Jarrod Warschauer, came out to my house to provide me with a quote on a proactive replacement of my air conditioning condenser and possible other upgrades. Jarrod was a very straight forward and honest person to talk to and work with. I expressed what my desires were for the project. Jarrod not once tried to up sale me on anything and more than once informed me that the upgrade I was thinking about was not worth it money wise or needed at this point in my equipment age. For me the best part was I felt I was talking to myself when I'am in his position working with one of my customers. That made me feel very safe that he was a honest and caring contractor that was really looking out for the customer than his bottom line. Jarrod's quote for a 16 seer condenser was in most cases several thousand less that what some of the bigger AC companies were quoting me for a 14 seer system. In one case he was 4,500 less. Complete disclosure I ended up going with another company that provided me with a cheaper quote for the same equipment. It was not by much though. I just feel strongly enough about Jarrod and his customer service to write this review to let any potential customer know that they should and can not go wrong with calling Fel-Air for any repairs or quotes they may need. read more

FelAir came to my rental to give me an estimate. Clint, the owner was prompt and respectful. Working with Clint and his team was a pleasure. He accommodated every one of my requests. He is an expert in his field and pays attention to detail. All work was permitted in the city of Pico Rivera. The inspector stated, one of the best completed jobs he had seen. Clint's prices and warranty are the best around. He is a Carrier dealer so his prices were the lowest out of the 10 contractors I interviewed. This was job 1, I was so impressed I had Clint do my daughters condo in Lake Forest Job 2. Job 2 , installed top of the Line Carrier HVAC system, new duct insulation, and a special request for my daughter with Asthma to install a UV light in the duct system that kills bacteria,mold,etc. She tells me that her air is clean and she is breathing easier. Once again his price was the best, including a friend in the HVAC industry who told me he couldn't complete with Clint's prices, warranty or equipment. She loves the Wi-fi thermostat, turns it on from her van pool and her house is cool as she enters. Top of the line job. If you want code compliant installation, best equipment, best prices, best warranty Uv lights, wi-fi thermostats, respectful gentlemen coming into your house. After meeting with three of the bigger Hvac companies, and getting ridiculous high quotes, I was fortunate enough to find Fel Air on social media. Typically with the other companies, the appointments would take several days to have them come to my house. When I called Fel Air, Gus Robles field manager, and his Son Andrew, went to my house within a few hours after me calling them. They were very profesional, Gus's attention to detail was admirable. Honesty, Integrity, " No BS" is what I look out for, and Gus showed me that there are still good , honest and reliable contractors in this business. We reached a great deal that same afternoon, for a new top of the line, AC system, . initially I was going to get a whole new system including furnace, but Gus had one of his experts, Todd come to my house within an hour, inspected my furnace free of charge and found some minor issues, but had them fixed for pennies on the dollar, thus saving me thousands on a new furnace. Non of the other competitors even suggested that! I had my new AC installed and running two days later, excellent workmanship. The boys that installed my system, Miguel and Andrew, out did themselves, took them just a few hours to get the job done, and done right! I was very impressed. This company is top notch, the customer service is incredible. I called last week because my whole unit completely shut off; and who wants to be hot midsummer, midday, in California??? Not me!! I did a quick google search and decided to call Fel-Air. I received a mannerable, extremely helpful voice on the other end. He went over possible resolutions and prices and to my surprise told me they could be there THAT DAY! I was in disbelief. I was treated like his only customer when he knowingly had to have received hundreds of calls that day in this weather. The Service Technician arrived right on time and was super friendly and warm. He was in my house maybe 30 minutes and all work was complete. When I received the invoice I was astonished. It seemed so cheap for such a quick and efficient and much needed service. Because lets face it WE ALL have been taken (myself included) by companies looking to make a quick buck when they know you have no choice but to pay a premium. To my amazement I questioned the price and the technician assured me that was the set rate for the service performed. This was my second service completed by Fel-Air that I am very satisfied with. They had Installed a 5 TON Heat pump and air handler at my residence more than a year ago which was done right with attention to details at a very fair price so I asked them to change my 50 gallon gas water heater which was completed today and both times the projects were completed to satisfaction. They really know their job well and do not cut corners. they had to completely get rid of the old platform for my original water heater which had serious water damage and black mold, it was a total disaster. then they rebuilt a new platform and patched the wall and got the job done like pros and taught me how to set the temp on dial for my new heater and what to do for maintenance. Gus was the person I initially got the quote from and he went beyond and above to work with me financially to make this happen, gentlemen Rudy and Omar were the professional installers. I found this company on Facebook and was leery, but decided to take a chance. Gus called me and made an appointment for the same day. He reviewed my air conditioner, heating system, duct work and vents confirming what I suspected. The system was all original (1962) and in desperate need of maintenance. Gus provided me with options and I chose a full replacement. What I liked was he gave me the estimate with no pressure and left. an estimate was emailed to me, which I reviewed. Based on how he made me feel I called him back a few hours later and asked for a start date and financing. Financing was quick and easy. All of this was on a Friday. Monday three trucks pulled up at 8:30 AM. Sergio, Miguel and Rudy went to work removing my old system and by 3:30 pm they were finished and you would not know a demolition was done. I used the system for the first time yesterday and there was such a difference. I expect to see my utility bill lower this winter as well which makes this worth it in the long run. Our house and AC unit is only about 6 years old but we have not had it serviced before. We noticed in the last week, the secondary drain on the side of the house out of the attic (the AC is in the attic) was dripping water excessively. I did a google search for AC Service around Murrieta and Fel-Air popped to the top of the list and reading their history and reviews, I called and set up a service call to check our entire system and to resolve the water drip issue. Within a day, Fel-Air came to the house and checked the system and tests were good and the technician snaked the primary drain line. That did not resolve the issue so upon further investigation, the drain pan was at an angle and the drain had a build up of glue inside the pipe and with both of these conditions, the drain would flow to the secondary. The responsiveness and attitude of this company are amazing and we highly recommend Fel-Air for their incredible customer service, responsiveness and professionalism. Thank you! read more

My air conditioning died, and my wife has Lung Cancer. I called three companies for bids. The last bid was from Fel-Air. They showed up on time; they said they were at my home, and both men were very professional . They described the work that was to be done and what my options were. Gus and Omar told me my Ac unit was over thirty years old and needed to be replaced. The bid was within my budget, and All three companies told me I should replace the Heater. I decided to keep the Heater until next fall. Omar, showed up with my new Ac unit the following day. He removed the old Ac and installed the new Ac turned it on, and we had cool air that afternoon. A few days later the circuit board on the old furnace, which controls everything died, so Omar came out and checked out the heater and told me I needed to replace it with a newer compatible unit. I was referred to the owner, and told he was fair. My experience this staff deserves 5 stars. We called him on the week-end and he was willing to make a free diagnostic visit on a Saturday at no extra charge. He gave me several options, but it turned out that I thought the best one would be to replace my 20 year old AC with a new one. Since I was now going to spend thousands instead of hundreds of dollars, I told him I needed to do some research. I then determined everything he said was accurate and that his estimate was reasonable. When we talked again on Monday afternoon, I asked him when could he get the unit installed. He did it that night! He then trusted me to pay him the next day. When they called on Tuesday to get my credit card information, I found out he did the job for $100 less than he quoted me (which I believe was hundreds less than if I had used a retail dealer).
