If you are thinking about getting Lasik, just stop thinking and go get it done. I am a 37 year old woman who has been wearing glasses since she was 9. I went from negative 375/400 to having near 20/15 vision the very next day. I am noticing depth in texture and shape I've never seen before even with contacts. I will admit, I was extremely skeptical about Lasik in general and put it off for a long time. I heard great things but I thought to myself there is no way I am not going to need glasses or contacts when I am done here. Well, all I have to say is, there is a reason his office has 5 stars with over 700 reviews. A true professional, an incredible doctor who loves his job. Aside from that, he had on a great hip hop playlist while performing surgery, which is quick, a little uncomfortable but in all honestly, comes with minimal pain. They numb the sh*t out of your eyes and you don't feel a damn thing. Make sure you listen to all of take the after-care instructions and take them seriously for a full recovery. I have rheumatoid arthritis which has a potential for complications in surgery. I voiced my concern as to whether I was a good candidate to the ophthalmologist that checked my vision. I overheard her communicate my concern to Dr. Feinerman in the hallway to which he responded 'Why is she here if she doesn't want the surgery.' Another case of a successful physician flexing the God complex. He is prob very good at what he does but that was enough for me to go with Dr. Tooma who has contour LASIK technology and significantly more experience while maintaining more humble and relatable ethos. I liked the overall service. However, limitting followup appointments to Mon/Tues/Wed are seriously making it difficult for working folks to come in without taking time off work. They would only limit Friday appointments for post Op care which made me take 3 days off work already. Finally writing my review a little over 1 year post op for my Lasik treatment! I couldn't be happier with my results. I was -7.5 in my eye glasses prior to Lasik and I can now see 20/15. I had lasik surgery at Feinerman Vision in February and have been enjoying 20/20 ever since. From start to finish, everyone at Feinerman Vision made me feel comfortable. After 15 years of wearing glasses, I can see better than ever and enjoy waking up in the morning not having to look for my glasses. First of all, I would say that if you want to have LASIK surgery, absolutely Dr Feinerman. I've been nearsighted since I was 12 years old, and after I had my first child, I started wanting to have Lasik surgery because my child would keep scratching my glasses, and I've also gone to other clinics for consultations and check-ups, like IQ Vision. When I was in other clinics, I was greeted by sales, and I didn't even meet the doctor himself. But in Dr Feinerman's clinic, I was able to communicate with him on my first check-up, he was very professional, very friendly and he would give you a lot of information. In addition, every staff of DR Feinerman's Clinic is very kind, especially Vivian at the front desk, she is also very friendly to my family. I have been meaning to write this review for so long!! Dr. Feinerman is absolutely THE. BEST. A couple of years ago (seriously, I have been meaning to write this for so long) I came into their office to get a Lasik consultation. When they were taking a look at my eyes the doctor noticed something and it turned out that I my retinas were torn in each eye. They were very calm and explained exactly what that was and informed me that I needed emergency eye surgery that day and would need to see a retina specialist. I was 28 at the time and completely. shocked. Dr. Feinerman said to call my insurance and my primary care physician and let them know I needed to get a referral to the retina specialist ASAP but both gave me the run around... no you have to come in for checkup, we don't have an appt for weeks, no sorry... and basically said that I should just go to the emergency room. I was so scared I was going to lose my eyesight. I didn't know what to do or what happened next, but Dr. Feinerman just handled everything. All of a sudden, I had an appt with one of the best retina specialists in Newport immediately that day. He gave me directions, he called my insurance and took care of everything. He even gave me his personal cell phone number so I could call him if I had any questions and he texted me later on that day to make sure that I was okay. I really couldn't believe it and was taken aback by his kindness. I still think about it to this day. I went to the retina specialist who confirmed I had retina tears. I would have never known and could have gone blind if it wasn't for Dr. Feinerman. The crazy thing is, I had gone to another Lasik place a day or two prior to this and they didn't catch anything. Which I think just speaks to the amount of care and talent here. Unfortunately, I can no longer get Lasik due to my eye surgery, however if I could, I would be back to Dr. Feinerman's in a heartbeat. They really care about their patients and go out of their way to do it. I am seriously forever grateful for him and this place and I recommend them to anyone!! He is the best. My oh my... I still can't believe I can see without my glasses or contacts! I have been considering LASIK for years now, but was recommended surgery to happen after the age of 25. I am now 28 and had some encouragement to follow through with my consideration, and I am so glad I made the decision to! My first consultation appointment was on 5/17. I was instructed to not wear contacts for 2 days prior. The consult roughly took an hour. I first was welcomed, checked-in, and asked to fill out paperwork. I then was seen by an OD for an eye exam, followed by a few more exams with a technician, and then finally with Dr. Feinerman to let me know if my eyes were LASIK appropriate-- in which, it was! It was music to my ears. After my consult, I scheduled my surgery for July 7th. Process was quick and easy-- very accommodating. Each person was respectful, kind, welcoming, and patient. All of my questions were answered and I felt valued as a patient. Surgery Day (6/7/19 @ 10am): It is recommended someone drives you to your surgery as you will be unable to drive after due to sensitivity. There are options to use blade or without blade (bladeless). I went with bladeless and paid extra (1k). I made this decision as I did not want to see a blade (laser is used) in my eye (you are awake the entirety of the short 15min procedure). After check-in, you will sit in with a technician to go over process of procedure, sign waivers/forms, discuss post surgery care, etc. (roughly 15-20 mins) before heading to surgery room. In surgery room: room with minimal light-- you are asked to lay on surgery bed and will be offered a blanket (I said yes since it was chilly for me). Dr. Feinerman comes in and asked me if I had any music preference, but I was fine with whatever was already playing (Drake :D). I then was given numbing drops. Dr. Feinerman is extremely thorough and will walk you through the entire process, explaining each step before he does anything. I appreciated this so much because I can easily get anxious, so it definitely calmed my nerves. I don't think I was the easiest patient as he had to do some steps over a few times because I wasn't doing what I was being asked (sorry, Dr. Feinerman :( LOL), but he was patient with me nonetheless. The surgery was roughly 15-20 mins. I can't believe a 15-20 procedure could change my life this much! (Still in shock till this day). You are given goggles to wear after surgery and prescription for eyedrops that will be used for a week. After surgery: As soon as I got into the car, I knocked out until I got home. Be prepared to sleep most of the day (it'll help with healing). Around 6pm in the evening, I received a call from Dr. Feinerman to check-up on me. Are you freaking kidding me?! Probably first time I've ever received such and I have come across a fair share of doctors in my lifetime. You can technically go back to normal activities the next day, but I didn't drive and mostly stayed indoors until Monday morning for safety precautions. 3 days post surgery: I had my post-surgery check-up the following Monday (roughly 30 mins). My eyes were doing well, other than dryness since my eyes have been dry prior to surgery. Dr. Feinerman addressed the dryness with specified eye-drops. I will have my 1-month post-op appointment soon.. 1 month since my life as changed. Dr. Feinerman is not only a good doctor, but understands the importance of customer service as well. He definitely cultivates that type of energy at his practice. This is hands down one of my favorite reviews to write. Just to paint a picture for you all. I have been wearing a combo of glasses and contacts for over 25 years with my prescription getting progressively worse every 6 months. For those of you that know, yes that means I'm at the optometrist EVERY 6 months getting new contacts and changing my lenses for my glasses, which is VERY expensive. So I would approx. spend about $600 a year on these visits. I finally decided that I need to get over my fear of getting lasik and just do it. After I called they squeezed me in literally the same week which was awesome. 10 minutes into the intro consultation I really got a feel for how amazing Dr. Feinerman and his staff was. Not only is their bed side manor over the top amazing but for how busy they were they knew how to really make EVERY SINGLE patient feel welcome and comfortable. I left the consultation confirming my decision and decided to proceed with lasik. Less than 2 weeks later they were able to get an appointment that fit my schedule and ran down what exactly I needed and needed to do leading up to the appointment. My anxiety was fine until the day of, then the nerves stated flying! When I arrived the staff again was over the top amazing, I did mention that I was very nervous, and every single person said I had nothing to worry about. Once I was in the procedure room Dr. Feinerman without skipping a beat said that we got this and made sure to walk me through the process making me feel comfortable and def distracted me from the fact that my eye was being worked on. I was debating on getting Lasik for a while now and finally decided to pull the trigger on getting it once I finished up with nursing school. I have nothing but amazing things to say about Dr. Feinerman and his staff. The procedure itself only took about 10 minutes and they even offered a Xanax to take before and after. Dr. Feinerman made me feel comfortable throughout the procedure and even counted down to the seconds of when each eye would be done. He even checked in on me over the weekend to make sure everything was okay during the recovery process. I came here to receive my free LASIK consultation, and then LASIK soon after. I'm always very careful about recommending places/services to others, but I would recommend this place to anyone with no hesitation. Facility: The facility is very clean, and I feel reassured that they're taking every precaution to keep things sanitary due to COVID-19. All areas are disinfected after each patient, and all equipment was sanitized by the staff before they used it on me. They have a nice waiting area where they offer boxed water, and seats are spaced apart as much as possible. Staff: I cannot emphasize this enough, but each and every one of the staff members that I've interacted with so far in my four total visits (consultation, procedure, follow up, emergency follow up) were so friendly and helpful, from the front desk ladies, to the nurses/assistants, to the doctors themselves. They all addressed any questions or concerns I had (sometimes before I would even think to ask!), and everything was explained thoroughly to me, which I personally really appreciate as a patient. Service: Everything from the eye exams, to the actual LASIK procedure, to the follow ups after, were great! I especially appreciated that all medications used during/after the procedure were explained to me, particularly the eyedrops used for after care. Instead of just being told to use these random eyedrops, they explained exactly what each one was for and why I needed to use them. I also felt reassured that I was getting the best care possible that was tailored to my eyes specifically. Dr. Feinerman explained each option to me, which one would work best for my eyes, and used a specific laser that would help with night vision. The procedure itself was quick and painless. I was very fortunate that my eyesight adjusted to 20/20 vision right after my first post-surgery nap, with no pain, irritation, or discomfort, but please do note that everyone's experience will be different! I had a bit of a scare a few days after my follow up appointment, where the vision in one eye suddenly went blurry at night, and I messaged Dr. Feinerman in a panic. He told me to come in first thing the next morning and saw me ASAP, which I was extremely thankful for. Both he and Dr. Tran did a thorough checkup on both eyes, and didn't dismiss any fears or questions I had. Turns out my eyeball was just very very dry, and he prescribed me some eyedrops specifically for dry eyes accordingly. My eye has since recovered and I can see with no issues! Price: From my understanding, the price for each patient will be slightly different, depending on which laser is used and the type of vision trouble you have. However, in general, when comparing prices to other facilities I looked into, I'd say this is about mid-point price for LASIK. It's not the cheapest option I've seen, but it's also not crazy expensive like some other places. I called in to book a consult and they were able to get me in the following week. Everyone who works here is so so sweet! (Shout out to Meagan!) Very knowledgeable and answered any questions I had and went through pre op, surgery day to post op instructions very thoroughly. What an incredible experience with Dr. Feinerman and his staff! I had LASIK surgery done a few days ago, and it was such a positive experience! I have been dependent on glasses for over 25 years since I was 10 years old. I had poor eyesight most of my life, have an astigmatism, and hated the feeling and idea of wearing contact lenses. Thanks to the Feinerman Vision Center, I now have 20/10 vision! It's absolutely true what everyone says, and now I understand. It is a painless procedure, the recovery is laughably fast, and you can resume your life almost immediately. I did the consult at 8am in the morning and the surgery at 2:30p in the afternoon the very same day, then returned for a post-op examination the following day in the afternoon. I don't know why I waited this long to get the surgery, but I'm glad I waited for this experience because Dr. Feinerman and his staff are all so knowledgeable, warm, and comforting. It didn't feel clinical, and I didn't feel like just a number. Any fears or doubts I had (which I had many!) were remedied with their wonderful service, expertise, and passion. Dr. Feinerman and his team are truly TOP NOTCH! They are both professional and personable. I always felt comfortable going into the office, which is very important to me. My husband and I both got Lasik eye surgery with Dr. Feinerman. He went above and beyond to get us scheduled before we had to leave the area for an extended time. My recovery was very smooth. My procedure was early in the morning, so after the procedure I slept at home until about 6 PM - once I woke up, I looked outside and I could see everything! The next morning, my sight was even better than the night before. The only discomfort I felt after surgery was a minimal "scratchy" feeling that significantly improved after putting in the prescribed eye drops. This only lasted about ~3-4 days. Totally worth it for the results! I am about a week and a half post-op and feeling great! My vision is 20/20 and I have no complaints! It is now 3 days post-op and I'm seeing in 4K. Also using Siri to write this review since you should give your eyes a rest from screens for about a week. So about the surgery...I'm normally an anxious person and was nervous going in, but Dr. Feinnerman talks you through every second of the procedure and makes you feel at ease the whole time. His background music and ability to keep you engaged with conversation really takes your mind off things. Before I knew it, Dr. Feinnerman said we were finished and I couldn't believe how fast everything was since I felt 0 pain. Maybe I'm just built different. After the procedure, you're able to walk out of the office without any issues. The staff calls your driver to come get you in the lobby and you can see after without any pain. The office was also very cautious when it came to COVID safety, which was reassuring. The staff was 10/10. Everyone was very professional and the vibes were just right. They make sure to inform you about everything you need to know before and after the procedure, which made me feel secure going in to surgery. This particular business does not need any more Five Star Reviews -- but one more couldn't hurt... I just got done with my annual check up; it was completed by Dr. Caroline Tran OD. Not only was she extremely professional in all of the extensive testing, she was nice. A rarity, which seems to be completely lost in today's doctor visits, - always being rushed in and rushed out without too much one on one care or conversation. She even went so far as to double check a couple testings to see if the numbers we're different, and they were. Dr. Feinerman always stops by, to make sure that everything that has been tested looks good and re-checks your eyes one more time just to make sure that all that was written down matches what HE sees. I understand that he is a truly gifted surgeon, I'm not there yet, and hopefully it won't be soon, but when it's time; I have full confidence in this practice. The office exudes a vibe of efficiency and professionalism, with a touch of personalized service.
