Fehn Electric is to me, the very best when you need any work done inside or outside of your home. This business is successful I'm positive because of its owner, Devon. I have lost track of the years that Devon has answered calls for a replacement of a light on the inside the outdoor flood lights. Always with a smile, a warm greeting, kindness and honesty that has endeared him to me. He has let me know if a light I purchased and wanted installed would be the brightest or maybe it was outdoor and the range may not be as good or may not last as long as I thought. This he does with knowledge of his trade but also with thoughtfulness for his client. He leaves the decision to me but always and even now at 81 years of age I listen to his advice. . Which has most likely saved me money. He is reliable and arrives on time, does exceptionally neat work, and takes pride in his job. The quality of his work is fantastic, which to me is important as I have had some issues in the past with old home old wiring. When he says safe I know he truly means it. So if you want reliability, honesty, knowledge, and good value , then Fehn Electric is your company and Devon your guy. Five star is not enough in my book for the work and service he gives. He's my electrician until I'm gone. Ten star work, Devon. Thank you for being my electrician all these years. read more

Devon is such an easy person to talk to. I hired him to install under cabinet lighting as well as a GFCI light switch. Unfortunately, during install, the countertop got damaged. The great thing is that he is licensed and insured. When I informed him of the damages, he quickly got us sorted with his insurance. And through it all, he followed up with me and always had a great attitude. Never once did he talk to me negatively or deny responsibility. His company has integrity and he is still our go to electrician. read more

Devon is the business owner. He is the person that does the work. He is a licensed electrician. I prefer this kind of vendor vs going to a vendor where a tech is sent to your home and you end up a chance of getting someone that may not be as competent as you would like. He was very responsive. For example, my initial contact was by email on a Friday afternoon. His auto response was a response in 2 buesiness days. He contacted me on Sunday. He came by on Tuesday. He gave an exact time he would come, not a time window. He came 5 minutes early. Very rare to see that kind of promptness when doing business with trades professionals. The same promptness was present from beginning to end of the project. I had a large project: installing exterior lights and security cameras on the front, back, and courtyard of our home. It required connecting to electrical sources both outside and inside the home, both switched and unswitched. It took 2 days to complete the work. It was completed in the time frame promised. Devon does quote his work. His pricing is competitive. I did have one other quote from another vendor. His focus on getting the job done in an efficient manner is commendable. When we walked thru the project he offered suggestions on how to lower the cost. He is a local Marina merchant. I like to support our local businesses. Would definitely go back to Devon for future projects. read more

Overall 5 star rating. Listened to what project I wanted done. -Generator transfer switch. Researched available products and was able to quote me with only pictures I took of the project site. Price was good comparing to other contractors. Prompt, courteous and professional. Communication every step of the way. Finished the project quickly and it tested perfect. Highly recommended for you electrical needs. Licensed, bonded and insured. And offered to return if there were any problems. read more

Devon offers courteous and prompt services, which is very much appreciated. However, his service is overpriced. I was charged for two separate visits within a 3 week period totaling over $400 including $49 truck dispatch fee, just to get a simple electrical outlet problem fixed in a condo. The repair work was neither extensive nor "numerous", other than replacing loose outlets or faulty GFCI switches. The condo is located in the Northgate Village next to Northridge Mall in Salinas. It was originally built in 1984 and remodeled in 2009. In my opinion, his service is overpriced and very expensive. read more

If I can give Fehn Electric 10 Stars, I would. I bought a 1100sq ft house built in 1962. I knew the electric was original throughout the house with a few hacks along the way. I was remodeling the kitchen and bathrooms and the panel needed an upgrade and the kitchen needed a total rewire to handle the modern appliances. Built in microwave, garbage disposal, dishwasher, etc, etc. I also wanted switched electric in all the bedroom's ceilings, living room, entry hall. Devon was my second estimate. I called him on a Monday. He was there on Wednesday morning to discuss my needs and had a complete bid by Friday morning. The great thing about Devon was his Superior Customer Service. He did not try to up sell me on a panel that was more than i needed for a small house and his bid to do all the interior upgrades were less than the first bid. He was there the following Monday ready to go. He communicates very well and was a true professional. A few minor things he found along the way were handled with no problems or extra charges. He worked fast and his work was clean. Do yourself a favor. If you are going to have electrical work done and get 2 or 3 bids, MAKE SURE Fehn Electric is one of them! You will be HAPPY. I assure you, any future electrical work I have done at this house or any other houses will be done by Fehn Electric. Thanks Devon. You are a valuable asset to anyone looking for true, honest, professional Electrical Work. read more

Very professional personality, attire, and experience! Very prepared for the job, has a shiny new van full of all the bells and whistles for the job. Very honest and straight forward, which is always the best thing one could ask for when hiring someone. At first I was skeptical (naturally), as I had been fishing around for a CERTIFIED electrician & kind of just chose this guy because the website was very professional...and it was the best decision ever! Certainly my go to electrician from here on out. My electrical issue: I had a three way circuit controlling my kitchen lighting and I, mistakenly, switched the power switch to a dimmer without realizing that dimmers are only for LED lights. So, my florescent kitchen lights "burned out" (they left brown stains on my walls and literally smelled burned) and was without kitchen light for...well, that's besides the point. Devon (the owner and main electrician for Fehn Electric) did a lot of trouble shooting to the light fixture itself bc the wiring was weird to begin with (two separate switches turned on the same two lights rather than one switch per light). This particular switch issue couldn't be fixed (he REALLY tried, but the wiring could not be accessed due to the infrastructure of where the switches were). Ultimately, he found the source of the problem to be the burned out florescent lights due to my millennial mistake of DIYing with electricity (don't play with wires, kids). Anyway, he fixed the issue, removed the old fixture, and I actually intend to set up a second appointment now that I have actually bought a new (LED) fixture so he can put in on. AND since he was so awesome, i had him install new outdoor lighting fixtures for me and they look great! SUPER happy with his work. And as I said, I'll continue to be a repeat costumer and HIGHLY recommend him!...AND he guarantees his work! Trust me, he is very honest and transparent. His method of payment are very secure and he'll send you an invoice via email after the jobs all done. HIGHLY recommend him, you'll be glad you hired him!! read more

Fehn Electric - Electricians Near Me

We used Fehn Electric to install a new outlet in a difficult location...inside the fireplace of our Salinas home. He analyzed the problems with us, solved them all, finished the job with skill, and honored his original estimate. He was also willing and able to tackle some extra repairs we needed. Devon is cheerful and efficient, very sensitive to the customer's needs, and charges a reasonable amount. I recommend him highly and would definitely call him again. read more

Devon responded to my residence for an electrical issue. He found the problem relatively quickly after troubleshooting. The entire repair took less than an hour and a half. He was very professional and friendly. He took the time to answer my questions and offer suggestions and advice. I felt the cost was very fair as well. He is licensed, experienced and insured. I would highly recommend Fehn Electric. read more

What more can I say than Devon Fehn. You can tell a lot about someones integrity through how personable he is. He was very prompt, engaging and professional, I had to call Fehn Electric due to a repair situation that I rushed through and messed up. The fix was simple, to him. More complex for me but I learned a lot from his work. His estimate was reasonable and after his diagnosis the repair was less than the estimate. Which for many customers, honesty and integrity is what helps you to choose someone to work on your house. You can't go wrong by calling Mr. Fehn, he knows the value of customer service. BTW - Safety is a high priority for Mr. Fehn. He explained how the way he repaired the problem will help to keep shorts and arcs from happening as oppose to how I did the repair. I will definitely use Fehn Electric again. read more

We had Fehn Electric complete work at our Salinas rental property and were very pleased with Devon from the time he returned my phone call, quoted the project, his follow-up, competitive pricing, quality of work, his knowledge and skill. We do not live in Salinas and did not know who to call. Devon is professionally, knowledgeable and great to work with. We will definitely call him when we have more work and will not hesitate to refer him to friends and family! read more

Quality and service at a fair price! We lost our trusted electrician some years ago and have only recently needed some work done. Devon was a referral from another electrician in the business who was booked for months. I called Devon who listened to my needs, emailed me a quote, and arrived to our house within 48 hours. He arrived early and was quick to resolve our issues. The great thing about Devon is he clearly explains what he is doing and demonstrated great patience while I watched and asked questions. Here is the most important part - while doing the work I requested, he found some truly serious safety issues and took care of them immediately. I actually saw burn marks and sparking so it was not like he intended to price gouge us like some car repairman might do - he truly had our safety in mind and did the work to our complete satisfaction. We will request Devon in the future and will seriously put him on our short list of those we will contact when we start our remodel in the coming months. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! read more

Fehn electric was one of three companies to evaluate and bid on a project at my residence. Devon cut through some of the BS proffered by the others, and gave me honest advice. I chose him to do the work and I am glad I did. He keeps his appointments as scheduled. He is professional, honest, communicative, and attentive to detail. I highly recommend his services. read more

We had the pleasure of meeting Devon of Fehn Electric this week who was the only electrician out of six that responded to our calls for help in making electrical repairs in our office. Though he was very busy, he came early and completed everything in one afternoon, even taking extra time to trouble shoot a problem we didn't even know existed. His prices were extremely reasonable and the work he performed was quality! Will definitely be #1 on our list if we ever need an electrician in the future! read more
