I spent the last 43 years not hearing out of my right ear. Numerous doctors and audiologists told…read moreme there was no hope; the nerve was dead. Some said their hearing aid would help, but when I tried it, they were wrong. Having loved music and even singing with groups at various places, once the right ear no longer worked properly I could not hear well enough to harmonize. That was a disappointing thing, but another was when I realized that even talking on the phone was impossible if I used the right ear. Soon I also discovered that I could not tell what direction noise came from. Being young I developed a great lip reading ability and adjusted to what I was told couldn't be fixed. Fast forward to December of 2016.... when I was referred to Dr. Feehs at Denver Ear Associates. Jennifer, one of the audiologists heard my story and discussed with Dr. Feehs how my nerve actually did respond to stimuli. A week later I saw him and he explained that a surgery called Stapedectomy would likely restore at least some hearing in that ear. Can you imagine? Some hope after over four decades! Surgery was performed in February and I am thrilled to once again be hearing in stereo. I can use the right ear on the phone now, and am able to tell what direction a noise is coming from after all these years. I can't recommend this facility, the staff, and Dr. Feehs highly enough.

Zero Stars My experience with Dr. Todd Kingdom was deeply…read moreconcerning -- both clinically and professionally. He stated there was "absolutely nothing wrong" with my nose, throat, or ears despite over a year of ongoing bleeding, crusting, and visible mucosal changes (inside nose and mouth are turning white in color, and top of nose is turning grey blue (not getting blood supply). When I requested further evaluation -- including a biopsy or bacterial swab -- he refused. SANITATION During the exam, both Dr. Kingdom and his PA used the same scope in my ear and then attempted to place it directly into my nose and mouth without sanitizing it. I stopped the PA and asked why the scope was not being cleaned between sites. I was told it was "not necessary." This was particularly alarming given that my nose already has an active infection. COMMUNICATION was dismissive, rude and arrogant. At one point, Dr. Kingdom stated, "You are so badly here to find something wrong with yourself." When I responded that something is already wrong and I am seeking the cause, he said, "I'm not going to sit here and argue with you. There is nothing wrong with you," and ended the appointment abruptly, and walked out. He wanted to refer me to another ENT despite being an otolaryngologist himself. When I asked him to review my swallow study -- which specifically referred me to an ENT for an ABNORMAL FINDING -- he refused to review it. The PA had the report and imaging open on screen. He covered the screen with his hands (in a stop sign motion) refusing to read it and stated he "DID NOT UNDERSTAND THE LANGUAGE" in the report. The finding was a single sentence noting a possible buccal mucosal diverticulum. An ENT refusing to review a swallow study and not understanding the language is more than alarming. BILLING ASTRONOMICAL. You will get two bills as Anschutz splits fees between the doctor/facility: DOCTOR: $720 for clinic visit, $591 for a "Surgery" (15 second nasal scope procedure) FACILITY: $1,894 for surgical equipment use (the scope), $300 facility fee Total: $3,505 for a short visit that yielded no diagnostics, no investigation, no pathology or labs, and no clinical direction. This didn't include the PAs fees. I am a Colorado native. I have never had chronic nasal bleeding/crusting prior to this past year - nor had the doctor or his PA ever experienced any of my symptoms (and I asked). Being told this is "normal Colorado dryness" without evaluation is dismissive, rude, unprofessional and unacceptable. Patients seeking answers and spending near $4K deserve to be heard, evaluated thoroughly, and treated with professionalism. This experience did not meet that standard.

I want to share my honest experience with this doctor. The surgery he performed on me was very…read moresuccessful, and I'm genuinely grateful for the positive outcome. However, I was disappointed with the follow-up process. I was asked to come in for annual check-ups, and during one of these visits, the doctor performed a brief endoscopic procedure that lasted, in my estimation, under a minute. I was later billed over $1,000 for this, with only half covered by my insurance, in addition to my $50 copay. What concerned me most was that the cost of this procedure was not explained beforehand. While I appreciate the doctor's surgical skill, I feel that clearer communication about costs and the necessity of additional procedures would have been more fair to patients. Because of this experience, I cannot fully recommend him, despite the good surgical result.

I'm currently on Medicaid because I am disabled and they basically told me I'm out of luck and that they had no resources for me. The front desk staff was incredibly rude and discriminatory because I'm on Medicaid, which probably won't be for much longer considering things in this world. I would not recommend this company, they would rather be drive And go about life without being able to hear. They definitely treated me poorly because I have Medicaid which is super unprofessional and Gross. They basically told me if I needed hearing aids it'd be about $5000, most of us can't even afford food right now.

Erin, a PA assisting Dr. Mawn, greeted me with a warm smile, explaining that she would like to ask a few questions about my current health. She spent about 10 minutes going over my history, she was very pleasant and attentive. A few minutes later Dr. Mawn arrived with Erin and a resident doctor. He was very personable and down to earth, he listened and then reviewed my 2018 MRI and explained that he was going to confer with the radiologist. All in all, I am very pleased with this practice!

My mother waited over an…read morehour today to see the doctor, and I believe that could have been avoided with better scheduling. But part of the front office role is managing the schedule efficiently and keeping patients on time just like you expect us to be in time. It's really important that the front office knows how to manage appointments and stay on top of their responsibilities, because it affects everyone's time and experience. I hope moving forward, you'll work on improving that part of your role. It was very frustrating too wait over an hour just for a follow up visit. The front office girl kept saying we need to see the Audiolgist, which we did not, we seen her last visit there , which was out first visit. She was very uneducated on how to run the front office- seemed like she had no clue what was going on. I wouldn't recommend this office to anyone. We found this office off my moms Iinsurance- we were told they take the insurance until it was time to get hearing AIDS then she had no coverage. No transparency here and lack of knowledge!!
