Well.. after a day, I can finally write my review…read more
My boyfriend and I came here to buy a game, and after waiting in line for 10 minutes (I'm not mad, it was busy), we finally reached the cash register.. with the "new guy". Now i've been new at a job before and I know what the stress is like being a new employee during the crazy holiday times, so I give him the benefit of the doubt.
While purchasing a copy of Battlefield 1 for my boyfriend, we renewed his membership, but could not use his 15,000 points for a discount on the game, which I've never heard of before. It's been years since I've gone into a Gamestop and from my experiences, I could always use points for discounts on games, but they may have changed policies.
We checked out and made our 25 minute drive home. My boyfriend was so excited to download and install the new game, but upon opening up the game, we found that they had given us the case that was on the shelf, and never the case with the actual game with it. Angry, I called the store and Kyle, whom I believe is the manager, answered and told me that I could come all the way back to the store and get the game, but if we didn't have the reciept, they could do nothing for us, I would be out my $55 and even though I paid with my debit card, I couldn't just show them my Bank app that has my purchase on it.
Annoyed, we drove 25 BACK to this GameStop. We walked in with receipt in hand, and explained the situation to the manager, he found the game, and gave us the correct copy without any problem.
Customer service was great both times, but this place is only getting 2 stars, since I just wish their employees would pay attention so I didn't have to waste more time and gas than I would have had to.
