On a whim, I visited Acorn Storage. I was greeted by Paige, the Facility Manager and explained my situation. She was incredibly hospitable and professional. I was fortunate enough to get an open space and she did an outstanding job of setting-up my account and ensuring I was properly acclimated with my unit and the facility. Since obtaining my unit, I have visited the facility on multiple occasions to access my items in storage and each time, I leave happy, knowing that I found this great place. If you are looking for clean and secure storage in Bowling Green, I would absolutely recommend that you call or visit Acorn Storage first!

I had to rush and get a unit at the last minute since I was moving out of town. I was currently at…read moremy new location and called every storage facility I googled. They either wouldn't be open on my trip back or were full. This was the only place that I called that had availability. I'm sure that was due to the displaced because of the tornadoes we had. First while signing up for my unit a customer came in shortly after her husband arrived there and could not get in the gate. She asked the manager on duty if her husband being in there and not punching out to leave had to do with her not being able to access it and the manager said no. Then once she let the customer in I ask if there was a problem with the gates seeing as I'll be moving my belongings in after their business hours. She joked and assured me the other customer just simply didn't know her gate code and that someone previously punching in (without punching out) wouldn't matter. SPOILER ALERT... It Does!!! I drove my uhaul in with my movers and 5 minutes later the rest of my friends showed up to help and wouldn't you know it the code didn't work. I had to walk all the way up front to punch the code out to allow them to enter. The very next day (Sunday) I'm moving items by myself and on my THIRD trip the storage unit door gets stuck on me. I called the very manager (Monday) told her I had 1 more load to drop off before getting back on the road. And wondering if the door could get fixed. She asked me to show her it being stuck. I came up did just that and she offered me an empty unit for FREE for my inconvenience. I was very appreciative. I didn't sign a lease or anything. And assured her I'd be back to grab that stuff out of the borrowed unit in April. I only have 1 weekend off a month and I wanted to ensure it wouldn't be a problem for potential renters. She promised me it was not. And reiterated how sorry she was for my inconvenience and she knows I had to be back on the road ASAP. Did I mention that I had to leave my spare key with her to the lock on my ACTUAL unit I rented with 90% of my belongings in there so they could fix the door since it couldn't be fixed that day. I was perfectly fine with that. Cameras everywhere, seemed upstanding. Honoring me by allowing me to store a few items I couldn't fit my my tiny suv and all. HOWEVER two weeks later and I'm receiving an invoice for the unit I was supposed to be loaned for FREE for my inconvenience. I received it 12 minutes before they actually closed on Saturday. So when I woke up and checked my email before work I can't even call and talk to anyone. Also I haven't gotten even a courtesy call or email on the timeline of the repair for the unit I actually rented. But they made sure to bill me for a unit I was told I was given for free for that inconvenience. And reminded me if I don't pay I can't get inside to access anything. This place or rather at least this manager is a crook. No wonder on the 2nd visit while getting the unit for my inconvenience there was some man there apparently cursing her out. She stated how she was happy I showed up because her customers that day were all rude and nasty and the current one kept yelling at her. And when he left she talked about him as well. That was my second red flag with this place! I can't do a thing about it 3 states away currently but the very moment I can get back there and get my belongings out I will be happy to be rid of them. Because now I don't feel comfortable at all with them having full on access to ALL of my items. If they will go back on their word who knows what else they'll capable of doing. Attached is a picture of the items I had to unload that couldn't fit in my car for the trip. She "loaned" me one of their smallest units. I barely used up a corner in it. I feel I should also state that the unit I signed for had more room left in it. So much room that I could've fit a sofa and tons more boxes and things but I couldn't because the door got stuck!

And didn't finish my 2brm 1 level home that only had, 1 couch, 1 loveseat, 1 wall mirror, 1 wall picture, 1 headboard with the bedframe, & 40-50 small-medium sized boxes until 2:45pm!!!! Their Manger arrived at 11:30am to take down the 2 beds for them. They didn't want to touch my treadmill unless it was disassembled. So I ened up calling another more professional & expernced moving company who disassembled the treadmill for them. The manager complained & told 2 young guys NOT to take the disassembled Treadmill upstairs at my new home. He told them to just leave it in the kitchen. The 2 young men let me know what he said. The manager came to the new location after they all had lunch to bring a 3rd helper for them to unload faster. What didn't know was the other more professional moving company was coming to the house to reassemble the treadmill for them. So he showed the young men how to properly lift a 220lb treadmill which was already dismantled & helped them carry it upstairs for me. I regretted not going with the more professionally experienced company. Because i would have save $400 for more experienced movers who could have been done in 4-5hrs vs, instead of the 2 young men who had only been working for 2 Men & a Truck for 1 month! Yesterday's move with 2 Men & a Truck was my worst & most expensive same city moving experience ever!!

I liked that he asked me what I needed, took a walk with me, and gave a pragmatic assessment. I literally had a ton of weight lifting equipment, two home offices, four bedrooms, shop equipment, two living rooms, sports equipment, and the usual accumulation of things families stuff into their homes after years of being in one place. Guess what. Brandon, Reece, Edwin and Chris accomplished this cumbersome move in the heat in less than 6 hours. Not a mark on the walls. Not a ding in box. Error free work knocked out with great attitudes and a great deal of sweat. These guys moved faster than UPS delivery during Christmas. We had a five hundred pound antique chopping block that Wifey wanted to move to a couple different places before she was content. They did it without delay. Just wonderful. John dropped in to confirm excellence and was not surprised to see that these four were way ahead of schedule. A fair price and money well spent for the peace of mind I sensed from the get go. Well done Lads. Well done!!

Avoid at all cost…read more Choosing this company was one of the biggest mistakes of my life. They promised professional movers and "insurance" if anything was damaged. What showed up on my doorstep (several hours late) was a scary moving crew. The lead guy showed up 4 hours late. I called the company more than 10 times during the waiting, and they "could not find him") This was the guy in charge of the whole move, directing the other movers. He showed up with a black eye, and he brought his baby and wife with him. The moment he arrived, he started trying to negotiate with me to finish the move on another day. (WHAT THE WHAT?) The crew was totally unprepared and talked about not having proper wrapping and packing supplies RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. I paid over $25K for my move, and many of my things were badly damaged. Treated like garbage. I was assured that anything damaged would be fixed or paid for. And 10 weeks after my move, there has been zero resolution for any of my damaged and missing items. I have reached out to the company multiple times, and they have not followed through on a single thing they promised. My stuff is damaged, and my anger is boiling. Do not use this company. You will regret it.
