It's a shame one of the best companies in the United States is now one of the worst. I've had nothing but problems with FedEx for the last year and would be very surprised if they're still in business in another year. Their policies are horrible, they are not customer oriented as they once were and now seem to Delight and pissing customers off. Their customer service Representatives are like all the rest and that big building in Dubai where they read Scripts and try to placate customers with stupid answers that no one even can understand. I'm sure Mr Smith would be totally dismayed that his business had degraded to this level. He worked most of his life to develop a well-honed, customer oriented delivery system they got packages where they were supposed to go when they were supposed to be there. FedEx is anything but that at this point, even the USPS, with all their bureaucracy seems to be doing a better job than FedEx. They've got the long distance package movement to a science, but their local delivery is absolutely miserable. If I have a choice of how to have anything delivered, I will choose any other service over FedEx at this point. They are horrible and it is such a shame! read more

Packages are continually delivered to the wrong address. Photos of delivery have shown at least 3 separate locations, none mine. Case numbers and claims have been filed without follow-through. The vendors only deal with Fed ex, hence the problem. Routes are not run with consistent drivers, drivers tell me this will not be fixed. Our mailing address is correct but delivery address changes when it leaves the Mills River warehouse. Frustration and anger are the kindest words to describe this terrible service. And why can't we speak to a person at the Mills River Office? read more

FedEx A recent experience with a FedEx delivery was so bad that it was almost comical. They were to deliver two fabric recliners that we had purchased online. We received our delivery date and time from them and were at home during this period. Later we went down our driveway to get the mail and there were the two chairs in cardboard boxes stacked on each other. Each box weigh 84 pounds.(printed on the box.) They were placed in a position so that you could not get to our mailbox and basically dumped by the side of the road leading to our driveway. Our home sits on a hill in Biltmore Park and has a concrete driveway that does not seem to bother other delivery services. FedEx had assured us in writing that our packages would be delivered to our home and placed outside in a safe position with without being insight of the road. Now I am faced with the dilemma of how me,a 78-year-old man, can get two 84 pound boxes up our 200 foot driveway to our home. I called the FedEx delivery number and representative. Diego tells me that they could not make the delivery because I have a gated driveway and they couldn't get in. I have lived here since 2019 and do not have a gated driveway and no home in Biltmore Park has a gated driveway, but I look at the confirmation of delivery and there it is on the bottom line could not deliver because of gated driveway. Diego assures me that he will call the local FedEx office and have them come and bring the chairs up to our home. He even gives me a work order number that is submitted to them. They never come nor do they call me and minutes later it starts to rain on the boxes and we get more than 1 inch in that rainfall. I tried to cover them with a tarp in hopes they wouldn't get too wet. At six that night, I finally get help and we put the recliners in the garage. The delivery was Monday at 11 AM as I write this it's Tuesday at 4:30 PM and still not a word from FedEx. So much for their "relax it's FedEx" slogan! read more

these people are utterly pathetic!!! first they claim that i wasnt home yet i have security cameras proving that no one came. down my driveway but blamed me for the package not being delivered yet it doesn't require a signature. then they scheduled it for monday leaving the entire weekend with nothing. tuesday..... this thing was ordered the 25th of october. i ordered something via ups on nov 2nd and it arrived from further away on the 5th. these people are the most pathetic company ever!!!! still don't have the package but now i don't want it. i will simply not use a company that ships via fedex. read more

I usually hesitate to write negative reviews, but the service level out of this location is horrendous. Despite having big orange stickers on both sides of the box that read "Fragile. Delicate Instruments" PLUS requiring an adult signature for successful delivery, the Fed X driver just dropped this expensive instrument in the dirt at the bottom of our driveway. We didn't realize this until the USPS Letter Carrier drove up to the house to tell us. So not only did the driver fail to provide a satisfactory delivery, he/she FORGED my signature on the delivery confirmation. I normally avoid using Fed X because they're so terrible, but didn't have the option for this delivery. read more

Fletcher FedEx is the absolute worst. How is this operation still opened. Why is the same bad manager not fired? Packages come so beat up, ripped, broken IF THEY ARRIVE. Fat chance with that though. When you track it says on truck for delivery 6 days in a row. You recently let a box marked BUTCHER BOX sit in your warehouse for seven days. Great to unpack rotten meat when that finally got here. UPS, Amazon, USPS. ALL EXCELLENT shipping experience. They Drop it at my door like normal professional shipping companies do. Now, if I have the opportunity to find out how a vendor ships, if they FedEx I buy someplace else. Terrible local delivery service. Driver always leaves packages a mile from the house at a roadside mailbox. Just begging for box to be stolen. Complaining never resolved the matter. Although, corp service rep did say it smelled like laziness but no improvement. We use UPS when we can for delivery. They come right to the house. Now day three has gone by and my package which was supposed to be delivered on Monday once again says operational delay on status. I mean wtf are you serious I'm maybe 5 miles from your location and package can't be delivered on time. Trying to fix a customer car with parts that aren't being delivered is difficult to say the least. So now it's too late to call about the package and will have to wait yet another day for the status to say out for delivery and then say delay status because of operational delay wtf does that actually mean? I would give zero stars if I could. They have refused to deliver 3 different packages to me in the past two weeks; they blame the different organizations for it not going to my house and refuse to tell me why they suddenly after years of delivery to me they won't go down my street. I had to track my packages to figure out where they were; I wasn't even notified by FedEx that they were being held out in Mills River - no one can give me an answer so now I have to drive an hour there and another hour back so that my daughter's shoes for her 8th grade formal don't get returned. read more

Fedex Mills River,NC has consistently lost my business packages with no recovery options available to me. My vendors are not at fault. When the packages arrive at Mills River Fedex and placed on a truck, they disappear. Tracking says "signature on file" so that means they are not leaving the packages with a person, and I do not have any signature on file with them. I can be at my front door and receive a text message that my packages have just been delivered, and there is no fedex truck at my door. Fedex takes no photos of the packages at my door. This is a gaping hole of mis-managment by this company. I am still liable for payment to my vendors, and fedex is getting away with having no responsibility for anything! Terrible shipping company. Delivery driver left my package right beside the road instead of taking my package to my house. Therefor my package is now lost and or stolen. I have never reviewed a delivery shipping company before, but today is the day. I received a 30-pound bag of pet food in 'its bag,' NOT in a box which the company always ships in. I called the company the food was purchased from and was given a refund and reordered. The customer service attendant stated this had happened before because they ship using FedEx. A box damaged in shipping is supposed to be returned to the company, not delivered to the customer. FedEx put a label on the 'bag' and dropped it off in my driveway! Why not leave it on my covered front porch? With the pandemic, 'I do not want anything left in my driveway that is not in a box. Certainly, Not Food that could make my pets sick.' They are terrible. I ordered a package from Walmart and it was put on the wrong truck and now they can't get it for 3 weeks. FedEx is a terrible shipping company. I am currently still waiting on a package from eReplacement Parts.com. This package was shipped on 1012018 and had a 3-5 day shipping schedule. Fed-EX has now had it for seven days and I am told by the barely able to speak English customer support person that it has something to do with the USPS? and will take another 6 days to arrive? After tolerating the push this button push this button automated service over the phone just to get someone that cant speak clearly and is reading from a book once my order is delivered I will go out of my way and pay more for another carrier than to deal with a company that only has the words on a screen. read more

They are the absolute worst! I cringe every time I see my package is arriving by fedex because I know their blatant incompetence and disregard will result in my package(s) being completely damaged by the time they arrive. And I guess the idiotic delivery guy doesn't realize that he's on camera throwing my packages against my door so that they land upside down, or on their side (when the package clearly says fragile and has big arrows to let him know which was is upright). miserable service from fedex. driver does not knock on door or ring bell to let you know parcel has been delivered, and leaves heavy parcels literally ten feet in front of my door in my driveway, in the rain w/o covering it, when my doorstop is covered by a roof extension, out of the rain. i am handicapped and this leaving of parcels far outside my door is very difficult and actually dangerous for me to have to retrieve. and without a knock on the door or a push on my doorbell to know a parcel is out there, i don't even know it is there, getting wet in the rain. bah humbug to fedex!!! this is the second time this week this has happened. us postman today alerted me to parcels in rain, and helped me get them inside. they were too heavy for me to move myself. :( :( :( i'd put less than one star, but can't... :( read more
