First, I'd like to mention that I probably do more business with FedEx than any other carrier with my SMB. I appreciate that you have a location fairly close-by that's open 24/7 and generally, I never have any major issues. That said, you could do a better job of staffing your locations or at least creating an area for "Quick Drops" (that's code for "it's already ready to go and I don't want/care about a receipt"). It still amazes me that this day in age, people don't realize you can avoid being the clog in the toilet by taking care of your business (no pun intended) at home BEFORE you get to FedEx instead of walking in with the item(s) you want to ship and no clue with how anything works. Maybe part of that falls back on FedEx and making their website more easy to navigate and explaining options and charges better as well. Secondly, I've now had to go thru the process of filing claims for both damaged and lost packages and both are terrible experiences from start to finish. When FedEx lost my package they tried to deny the claim, initially. I received a letter that instructed me to call for more details and when I called, the representative told me that they chose to deny my claim because they [FedEx] felt like I should have required a signature at time of delivery. I explained to her that regardless of how she/they felt, the fact of the matter was the package made it to FedEx, was scanned in and loaded onto a plane and made it onto a truck for delivery. I explained to her that THEY lost MY package and the fact that a signature wasn't required at delivery was irrelevant. It basically took me threatening legal action before they changed their tune and said they'd make an exception. The damaged package was worse. The item looked like it had fallen off the truck and may have gotten ran over. I had to wait over two weeks while they kept delaying and "investigating" and once again they denied coverage on the item. This time they stated it was because I didn't have pictures of what the item looked like packed inside the box and I ended up writing the CEO an email like "really man?" And after going back and forward for over a month they ended up sticking to their decision to deny the claim. What makes that incredibly frustrating for me is that I'm now out the item's value as I had to refund the buyer and the item cannot be resold. Out of hundreds of packages that I've shipped with insurance on them, I've filed two claims and both times I've had to fight tooth and nail for what should be an easy and seamless process. If someone at FedEx reads this, your claims process needs a lot more clarification and review of procedures and protocols because right now, it feels like you're making things up as you go to ensure that the customer is on the losing end and that's fine- you've made your money off that customer already, but I for one, have been diverting a lot of packages over to USPS and UPS lately because you can only screw me over so many times before my loyalty starts to waiver and you've about reached that limit, respectfully. read more

I visited the Fedex store in Richmond Va this week and was stunned to told that my domestic overnight letter would cost $52. When I asked why, I was told that Fedex had raised their prices because of the COVID19 virus. The store manager confirmed that they were gouging customers because they saw an opportunity. This is disgraceful behavior! Do everything you can to avoid Fedex! I will never darken the door of a business that attempts to gouge customers during a crisis. read more

I will never use Fed Ex again and I will not order from any company who uses them to deliver their products. The people in the office are very nice but their policy and delivery drivers are terrible. Twice, Fed Ex has delivered our packages to the wrong address. A few months ago my son sent me a package and shipped it through Fed Ex. I tracked the package and it said delivered, left at back door. I live in an apartment and I do not have a backdoor. The apartments behind me are clearly marked with the building number and apartment number so its impossible to think that its the backdoor. Both times it happened, I called them within 30 minutes of the delivery and instead of sending the delivery guy back at that time to get it and deliver it to the correct address, they wait hours and then have the delivery guy retrace where he went and then finally 48 hours later, come back and see if he can find the package IF it is even still where he left it. The first time it happened, the delivery guy never did come back and find it. I actually found it over a week later. Thankfully the man he delivered it to had been out of town and was unaware of it even being there so I was able to get it. But my son paid 100 dollars for 2 day shipping and never got his money back. This second time, we are still waiting to find out where our package is. Fed ex should never be allowed to charge for their services because they do not provide the services they charge for. One of the worst delivery services in the Fairfield County, Westport CT area. You would think they are the US Postal Service. They leave messages once in a while, disregard the office hours of our company and still "try" to deliver when we are closed. Then they leave, after one failed visit, their first notice that they tried 3x, so too bad on the customer. They have gotten fat, lazy and arrogant. Lucky there are alternatives. I bought an item off of Ebay. The person sends stuff by FedEx. It shipped right out. But after it started to move it sat in Tracy,Ca for 4 days. It's funny it finally started to move when I called about it and asked why it hasn't moved. Then when it finally got to me the FedEx driver was very rude. My husband was outside at the time when he pulled up. My husband had asked the driver it the package was for Apt. 2 where we live cause he was expecting the package. The guy just ignored him and kept walking. He left the package at the wrong Apartment got in his truck and left. And the address and apartment number was clear on the package. I called and put a complaint in about the driver never heard anything from them about it. I will never buy anything where the place is using FedEx. And I sure will never use FedEx to ship anything. I have had my shipping date changed now 4 times. I was informed yesterday when I called FedEx that the reason of the change was due to a mistake on the shipping end with my shipping label becoming unreadable. So I am not due to receive my package while I am on my vacation. I spoke to one representative before I asked to speak to someone in management who basically only told me my expected delivery date over and over and over. I asked to speak to another manager where I was told the same thing. I do NOT understand why I am being punished and will be receiving a my package late due to a mistake from YOUR company. I asked to speak to someone else in management and I was informed there was no one else I could speak with about this issue. I work in customer service also a call center and this is some of the WORST customer service I have ever received. Your manager I spoke with could not even guarantee I would receive a call back from another manager. I am more than frustrated and have never experienced such terrible customer service nor people who seemed to not care at all about my situation. I was informed that my package also could not be re routed due to a contract you signed with the company I ordered from which I was informed by the company was ABSOLUTELY not true. Horrible International Service. I sent an envelope from USA to Philippines, They lost my package upon pickup in Henderson, NV on 6/23/15. I called 800 number and was told I could not file a claim for reimbursement until they traced the package again and again, Finally the confessed it was lost and allowed me to file online claim, which they promptly closed for no reason without informing me. I reopened the claim to get reimbursed my $66.21 for shipping and was sent a check dated 8/3/15 for $20. I paid $66.21 not $20.00, Nobody can explain this to me so I reopened claim yet again and filed complaint with BBB. Use DHL for international shipping, way better, reliable, and less expensive. I will never use FedEX again because the customer service and claims department is a nightmare. read more

I'd like to start by saying I've had good/positive experiences with FedEx in the past and only one blemish. I ordered some tires from an online retailer and was curious as to when they would be at my home. Went online and was confused as to the delivery date. Showed that they would be there that day, but possibly the next day as well (delivery needed a signature). Confused I called the service dept I spoke with a lady (nice lady) who told me that my delivery was scheduled for the next day. I tried to get a delivery time so I could take off work and go put them in the garage and she gave me a 3 hour window. I then proceeded to ask her if the delivery driver could possibly call me when he was about an hour or so out. She told me that it was against FedEx policy and the driver would not/could not call me. In the meantime my phone started to ring with a 1-800 number. So I just told her 'fine' and that I would figure it out later. Answered my phone and it was the FedEx driver at my front door with my tires...SERIOUSLY! He wanted to know if he could just leave my tires there without my signature. I told him YES...no problem. Remember the tires wern't supposed to be at my house until the next day, and there is NO way the driver could call me lol. Lady...have you not looked into these things before? Anyways FedEx has almost always given me great service/reliable information...except this one time. I will use them again. read more
