The airline contracts with a courier DDD that has more 1* reviews that I care to comment and those reviews are well warranted. My son's luggage sat at Logan for several days with absolutely zero sense of urgency AND he is on medication that he MUST check in so that caused more issues. I was in a bind and finally had no choice but to do what I could to handle this on my own. The first company I called was this one. I called at 12:30am EST and after 2 rings, Greg picked up. He's the owner. He listened to my situation, calmed me down, and stated "I will help you." Word that NO ONE said at the airline nor DDD. I provided him with information, he promised me he would take care of me. I went to bed. At 11:00am, my son received his luggage. All I can say is LISTEN.RESPOND.DELIVER that is the slogan for this company. I am extremely grateful that Greg took my call and was willing to help a parent like me at 12:30am and do as he promised. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS COURIER SERVICE ENOUGH. I wish his business all the success and truly appreciate his sense of urgency and understanding of situations like this. Much appreciated!

Colin was extremely helpful and charged me about half of the quote from another courier. He was so quick and made the across town delivery in less than 20 minutes. I'm so impressed and thankful I found Fly Over the City Courier Service. They were a joy to work with, not just because of price but because of promptness, professionalism and kindness too.

    I do not recommend using Breakaway Courier Systems…read more I called them to book an important time-sensitive job. I gave them my credit card information and I sent in the paperwork via Federal Express overnight mail. The mailing contained a letter outlining the job details and cash that was necessary to pick up the documents I needed. (This was not to pay Breakaway for their services - it was the fee to obtain the docs from an outside organization.) Once they had the mailing they said they would do the job because they needed the money up front to pick up the docs. I requested that they call me when the job was complete (in my letter, as I was instructed to do, and I stated this over the phone.) It was getting late and I had not heard anything. I called to check on the status and was told the job was booked yesterday, the day I called, but nothing came in the mail. They said they share an address with an apartment complex next door so packages are delivered there on occasion. I would never have sent items to them (especially cash) if I knew there were a strange address situation. They looked for the package and could not find it and said this had to be an issue with FedEx. I reached out to FedEx who said it was delivered, just like my tracking stated. I was very stressed at this point because the pickup location the courier needed to go to closed in one hour. I called Breakaway back to see what we could do to get the job done. I expressed my concerns about the fact they share an address and also let them know I was frustrated that they weren't willing to work with me. The person I spoke with and I did get into a tiff about the situation in general. She said to "fix this with FedEx" and then proceeded to hang up. I was 100% intentionally hung up on. I called back hoping to get someone else, which I did. I asked if there was any way to get this job done. I was told it couldn't be done because the documents required a fee to be picked up and they needed that cash or check physically in their hands. They refused to advance the $50.00. I asked if they could charge my credit card, if I could overnight cash or check again (taking another risk with mailing, but I was desperate to get this done), if I could wire the funds, etc. I was willing to do anything in order to get the job done that day but they would not work with me. I physically couldn't go there because I am located in a state hundreds of miles away. The lack of effort and assistance was surprising because I had Breakaway do the same exact job for me a few months back in an emergency rush situation. They had no issue advancing the funds and picking up the docs. They just charged my credit card. The person I was working with put me on hold and when she came back she said the job was done earlier in the morning. I never received the phone call I was supposed to when the job was done and I never received a confirmation e-mail or credit card receipt. I also never received any apology for being told the wrong information, being hung up on, for the stress this caused, for the miscommunication, etc. A simply apology would have went a long way. What I did receive was bad attitude from the beginning and horrible customer service. I had two people at Breakaway telling me FedEx made a mistake and no one ever saw the package - when in fact that was the opposite of what happened. I had to call FedEx multiple times, reach out to other couriers, etc. It was a huge waste of time and caused unnecessary stress. I still have not received an e-mail with the credit card receipt and would rather not reach back out to this company for one. Hopefully it will arrive soon so I can avoid that.

    I used Dolly to deliver a large Lowe's order and had one of the most unsafe and unacceptable…read moreservice experiences I've ever had. The assigned helper was verbally aggressive from the very first phone call--yelling, using profanity, and refusing to provide basic information needed for Lowe's to release my order. Because of his behavior, I contacted Dolly support and explicitly asked for him to be removed, stating I did not feel safe having him come to my home. Dolly told me the delivery would be reassigned. I received messages confirming this. Despite that, the same helper showed up at my house anyway. He arrived angry, continued yelling, called me names, accused me of lying about my order, complained about how little he was being paid, and said the job wasn't worth his time. He even stated he should steal my items rather than return them to the store. At that point I felt unsafe and asked him to leave. He drove away with my entire $800+ order still in his truck and did not return it to Lowe's. This wasn't just poor service--it was a complete breakdown of safety, communication, and accountability. Reassignments should actually mean reassignment, especially when a customer raises safety concerns. Dolly failed at that basic responsibility. I would strongly caution anyone--especially women--against using this service for home deliveries unless Dolly seriously improves its safety protocols and support follow-through.
