They will take WEEKS to process pre authorizations or call in imaging orders. There is always some phantom charge not paid that you end up owing. I have had disputed charges since 2023 and I have been waiting that long for the billing office to call and explain them. This last visit, their very rude and aggressive front desk person basically held my visit with my doctor hostage until I paid fees that again, have never been fully explained by billing. So the doctors get and A; but their staff now gets an F-.

I absolutely love MIAN family medicine. I am a patient of…read moredoctor goodman, he is one of the practitioners with Mian family medicine. And I cannot say enough great things about doctor goodman! He has always went above and beyond, as well as his staff , Mian family medicine is amazing! I wouldn't go anywhere else! And remember , if you use this office as your primary care physician, they are great at referring. I was able to go to several doctors specific to their field, because doctor goodman referred me, without incident! They have their own lab, so that you can get your blood work done there. You don't have to go somewhere else, flexibility they always answer the phone.( i know people that say their doctor's office is closed all the time, and when they call, they have to leave messages? Not this place! 10/10

I have seen Dr. Goldman for over 30 years and am currently looking for a new primary care…read morephysician. I initially like his wholistic approach to medicine but I have seen a steady decline in his practice of medicine through the years. Like most folks these days complaining about their doctors, this doctor buries himself in the computer when I go in for my annual exam and barks questions at me barely giving me enough time to answer one question before he moves on to the next. He clearly is very aware of the time he is spending with you. That all aside, he has demonstrated significant lapses in my medical care that has most recently become apparent. He neglected to monitor me on a drug I was on long term, that is identified with significant side effects, and when I mentioned a year ago I was experiencing some of these side effects (not realizing it was the medication) he did not pick up on it. Most recently, I had an aortic heart valve replacement two weeks ago that was severely occluded. This doctor ignored my heart murmur for YEARS (saying it was benign), ignored the stasis on my legs (telling me to keep them raised and wear compression hose instead of trying to find out why they were swelling by referring me for an echocardiogram), and most recently ignored difficulty I was having breathing (I couldn't get an appointment to see him). Fortunately I was able to get in to see my pulmonologist who ran all the appropriate tests and hooked me up with fabulous cardiologists. Oh! And when I had to contact Dr. Goldman to set up my post procedure follow-up for one month after my heart procedure? He didn't have any appointments available for 7 months. I can only assume why he doesn't want to see me now. Avoid this doctor at all costs!

I've been a patient of Dr Goldman's for about 25 years now. Boy what I have put him through with my…read morehealth and he still sees me is a miracle. He has always been there for me. Whenever I have a question he calls me the same day with the answer. I liked him and talked about him so much when my wife was looking for a doctor she decided to go start seeing Dr Goldman and she is glad she does. My son is also a patient of his. His office staff is great. Although, I miss 2 women that have worked for him over the 25 years. Bonnie and Amber were the best. However, Karen the office manager always has the staff in great customer service mode. Appointments start and end on time. Prescriptions are taken care of if you are on the medication for a long time within 24 hours. Heather and Lori do a great too! So, in short Dr Goldman is the best doctor I have ever seen.

Honestly the only reason I come to this facility is because my PCP is here and I've been his…read morepatient since before I had need for specialists. He's amazing and would get five stars on his own. Unfortunately... the rest of the place leaves something to be desired. The front desk staff is overwhelmingly Christian, which is perhaps to be expected from a pseudo-Catholic hospital affiliate. I'm sure that's great for their mental health, if not their eternal souls, but it does leave one with the issues one generally has with loudly-Christian folk, including self-righteousness, ableism, and homophobia. They've recently taken down the "inspirational" (read: prejudiced) printouts wallpapering many cubicles so we'll see how that goes. I have not had much luck here with specialists: My wife, a friend, and I have been refused exams (by different doctors) because of being overweight. I was told "fat people have pain" as if I am too stupid to tell the difference between mild arthritis and a displaced kneecap. Whoopsie! My wife was accused of drug-seeking after a brutal car accident; I got the same from a different doctor because I worked at a pharmacy for years and used the word "drug" instead of "medication" to describe my super-exciting and TOTALLY recreational cholesterol and blood pressure meds. Despite a pair of vicious surgery scars, I was informed that the surgery I had didn't exist. After I paid out of pocket for copies of 24-year-old paper medical records from a non-affiliated hospital, the doctor acknowledged that I had had the surgery but I just didn't know the right name for it. She refused to tell me the "correct" name. I could go on, and I could name names, but the bottom line is that this is a PERVASIVE issue in the culture of the practice. Patients are treated more like enemy combatants than partners in healthcare. There is a saying or belief in Baltimore about doctors. You go to Hopkins if you're good enough You go to University of Maryland if you can stand the politics You go to Mercy if you can stand the religious culture You go to GBMC if you can't stand either You go to MedStar if no one else will hire you ...Overlea just so often fails to live up to Mercy's place on that list.
