Took a neighbor here for a colonoscopy...last minute. His daughter canceled at the last minute…read more Front desk staff checked him in quickly. I was given a code to track the procedure. It didn't update in real-time. The doctor was late. He was the 1st patient of the day. Anesthesiologist thoroughly explained everything. The nurse had difficulty starting the IV and made 2 painful attempts. The post-op nurse rushed him out. He's an older guy who has mobility issues. She had him walk out from the 2nd floor to the main entrance. As I'm talking to her, she's ushering him out. I'm holding him steady and helping him walk. No regard for his age, sedation, or medical conditions. I'll make no assumptions about why... JHH staff across all departments lack empathy and basic kindness. Unfortunately, I'm a patient here and can attest this is the norm. Insurance and keeps me here, not the care.

It was nice to see a Dr. actually utilizing MY Chart system actively reading other physicians notes - labs etc to assist in his own diagnosis and or referrals - I felt like I was heard and that he truly gave everything a once over to have a better understanding of my health

I had to stay here over the weekend due to a bust cyst that had some extra bleeding. Everyone that…read morecared for me was extramarital kind, I only wish I remembered the name of the one nurse who helped me through my panic attacks (I'm terrible with names.) she was so kind and made me feel so safe, especially since I'm not used to panic attacks that extreme. I do have anxiety but other than the physical discomfort I was fine and am not sure why they came about but I'm so glad she was there. My first panic attack however happened after I had the IV inserted and had my blood drawn, I felt fine but I'm guessing that's what triggered it? I felt one coming on and warned them saying I felt nauseous and then I said "I think I'm going to have a panic attack" I must have passed out for a second because I remember picking my head back up with a nurse asking me what was wrong over and over again. I ended up screaming as I was still panicking, I said I wanted water and was told no and that they were going to go it fluids in my iv. I must have freaked them out and feel terrible about it. however when someone is in that state of mine it confuses me as to why they'd yell what's wrong when I barely understood what was wrong either? It's a very scary state to be in and I wish that I had been given some extra space or something of the sorts. I'm not angry at all I understand that it can be difficult to know what to do in those situations especially since like I had mentioned it seemingly happened out of no where. It just seemed odd how things happened in this medical setting. They gave me fluids and placed me in the corner of a hallway for a bit until I calmed down and was less pale. i had nurses check on me twice before I was taken into a room. I was given ice cubes and I've packs for my anxiety and was helped through since then. Overall I had a great experience and am very grateful for everyone on duty over the weekend.

She was taken to the back quickly but the waiting time was ridiculous for the nurse to come and bring her blanket, water etc. still won't recommend this ER. We did have a very nice physician who had compassion, knowledgeable, great bedside manner and Dr Rodriguez was very helpful and friendly. I can recommend him.

I was looking to change GI doctors after feeling unheard by my current doc so I found Gastro Health…read moreand Marguerite Adams, PA-C who was able to see me right away. She was very thorough in reviewing my records and symptoms and scheduled me for a colonoscopy to get to the "bottom" of things. She prescribed some meds and offered some advice on what to do for some of my issues. When I asked if Dr. Joshua Forman could perform the colonoscopy I was told yes. I was barely home when the Endoscopy Center called to schedule me for the following week. My experience with Jasmine who scheduled my appointment was TERRIBLE, but when I arrived the day of the procedure I was happy to see that the staff were so caring and friendly. Dr. Forman met me before the procedure and again afterwards. He was very no nonsense and kind. I appreciated that. I'm so happy they agreed to take me as a new patient.

My husband lost over 100 pounds and has severe anemia which has been ongoing for over a year. Other thannegative colonoscopy and 2 negtive upper endoscopies, they didn't have an answer. Just ordered hundreds of dollars of labwork that had already been done. Luckily Quest caught it exlained that if my husband had the labwork it was going to be several hundred dollars and the insuranve would not pay for it since the tests had already been done. The office just kept telling him to have the labwork anyway. We fially got a test result from Quest that finally provided the diagnosis but he has to wait until December to talk to the doctor. He needs treatment now though. By December he will probably lose another 25 pounds. My colonoscopy showed a polyp that GastroHealth could not remove so I had to go to someone else anyway. The doctor was okay but more of a colonoscopist than a health provider and only concerned with scheduling more endoscopies. Would not recommend. This would not post until I gave at least 1 star but no stars is more true.
