I was originally referred to Kari through a colleague of mine, so I already knew I would love working with her. I was impressed right off the bat - while I am not the kind of person who has been envisioning her wedding since birth, I did want the day to look pretty, feel thoughtful, and run smoothly, and Kari understood what I was getting at right away. You should stop researching Wedding Planners and just hire Kari NOW! You'd be lucky to have her. You will not find someone more dedicated, positive, organized, genuine, responsive, detail-oriented, or adaptable than Kari. We had a two-day Indian-American wedding. The first day was 250 guests and next day 300 guests -- both events were an incredible success thanks to Kari! Both venues were more bare bones (we brought in everything from the chairs, to the forks, to the trash cans), so as you can imagine there are MANY vendors. Kari coordinated everything with the vendors leading up to the day and the day off without missing a beat! The days ran seamless because of her! She has several great vendors to recommend, but is not pushy about using her recommended vendors. She also helped us with design and allocating our budget. Her personality is amazing - she is very easy going, but will be persistent when its needed. Planning a wedding is an emotional rollercoaster, and Kari was there for us and our families every step of the way. She made us feel confident that everything would come together. Two weeks after our wedding day, I am SO thankful to have worked with Kari and her Feathered Arrow team. We began working with Kari, 13 months out from our wedding date. From the initial meeting to the actual wedding day, Kari provided planning support as if I was her only client. She is super organized, very hardworking and does a great job putting all of your crazy/discombobulated ideas into one beautiful event. She has a great eye for design, while also taking into account what you like and what your vision is for the day. She doesn't over power you with her own ideas, but does a great job designing and working with you to make it exactly what you want and what your guests will love. From solidifying our wedding venue to finding and booking vendors, Kari scouted, double checked contracts, and communicated with vendors throughout the entire process. Without Kari, the budgeting process was overwhelming and it was difficult to know what was good/bad vendor pricing. Kari walked us through quotes and helped us make the best decisions that would work well with our budget and our design goals. Just having her help us with this, was worth every penny! Feathered Arrow provides a checklist every month or so, which compartmentalizes what needs to be done and when it should be done by. By regularly reviewing it with Kari, it provided huge a sense of relief when there were so many decisions, deadlines and vendors to keep track of. Beyond being a super talented designer and planner, being able to run a 300 person wedding without a glitch, allowing the bride to really enjoy the planning process/wedding day... Kari was the sweetest, most laid-back wedding planner. She is definitely not your typical A-type personality wedding planner who is yelling, running hither thither on the big day. Kari is unusually calm and collected throughout the day, helps set-up all your decorations the day of as well as helps break-down everything at the end of the big day. She is very well organized and sets up a detailed plan with you prior to the day of as well as communicates with all the other vendors to ensure your day goes as smoothly as possible. She is very responsive to all your questions and concerns leading up to the day and flexible to any last minute requests day-of.
