It's a must-see for all Ghostbusters fans. As it is a working fire station, there are always firefighters there and most are super kind and generous answering questions. On our most recent visit in January 2026, one of them informed us they are no longer allowed to sell merch. Such a bummer!!!

I'm continuously amazed at the huge responsibilities that they have twenty four hours a day, three hundred and sixty five days a year. It's my opinion that FDNY needs more resources considering our aging buildings. There's a lot of Fire Education needed for the general public. They are serving around 8 million NYC residents. People move in and out of the city. I let them know how much I appreciate their service every time I see them. I'm posting this review on Thanksgiving 2022 to once again say THANK YOU! I'm recommending you New Yorker's do the same!

Much better and more modern facilities than the Old York Town Police Department…read more The New York City Fire Department are pretty wonderful in many ways (except maybe on Law & Order when they get into fights with the cops due to shady goings on), and a lot more friendly than some of the other New York officials you might encounter. They've done a lot of Brave things over the years, not least on 9/11. It's too sad to talk about that, to be honest. I still don't think we have a clue who or what was behind that and I hope that someday everyone behind it will be brought to justice so all these brave people can have a little more peace, perhaps. This is a great house for a great crew, and everyone in the city should be thankful that they do what they do so well.

Fires are common when you have old residential buildings. Restaurant fires are all to common too. Along with the NYPD these men are risking their lives daily. I'm glad to support their efforts as much as I can and appreciate seeing them in my neighborhood. This Fire Station is a safe haven for anyone in trouble. They are always on duty.

I don't want this review to Drag on so I'm going to get right on with it…read more There's something very special about the dragon firefighters, and you can't really argue with a crew that has to deal with one of the oldest and most densely packed little neighbourhoods, and one so busy and bustling and so hard to navigate. They do a wonderful job and also manage to celebrate the culture and history and tourism of the neighbourhood, and while doing it they actually make themselves one of the many tourist attractions in Chinatown. Wonderful work from these wonderful people. And I'm deeply sorry to all the families and firefighters here who lost people in 9/11 and my thoughts and love is with you.

We made a comment about the dragon on the front of their truck and they happily gave us a little history lesson about Engine 9/Ladder 6, the Dragon Fighters. They were really nice and knew a lot about the history of their fire company. They even put the garage door down so we could get a picture of the dragon on the door. If you ever get the chance, talk to some of the firefighters here. They're really nice and will give you a history lesson if they have time.
