This man knew where I was, named my boss and family members, and said he was driving to my office to *get me* NINE calls to 911, 2 calls to the 102nd, and a *Hail Mary* call to the 106th (next closest precinct, no one responded during the 5 hour period I waited Once I was able to safely leave my office (I work alone at a construction office and had to wait for the laborers to return), I went to the precinct to find an empty *prisoner room* and about 7 or 8 police just hanging out eating sandwiches. After 5 minutes of just sitting staring at them, someone finally noticed me. I congratulated them on doing absolutely nothing and left. This is supposed to be the gold standard of law enforcement. We have been the leader in providing ************************* to the *** area for over 40 years. It is upsetting to hear how someone who worked for us for such a short period of time can be so malicious. Most of our employees have been with us for over 10 Years and have had successful careers in both ****************** as well as support technicians. We have recently had a major management change, as well as significant changes to our dispatching and account systems which have proven to be very effective to our customer and employee satisfaction. We continue to strive to provide top notch service to our customers while maintaining a healthy and happy work environment for our employees. This review is not from a disgruntled employee. It is from a former employee who was rendered disabled due to an unsafe chair about which a complaint was expressed and no action was taken to ensure the safety of this employee. As a result, said employee has had to undergo and is still undergoing months of painful physical therapy in order to enable him to walk normally again. It is not a career. There are no benefits...only intimidation and exploitation. It is not a happy and healthy work environment as the company stated. The physical, financial, emotional and mental well-being of the employees is not a consideration. There are no happy and healthy employees on the sales force - most of them have back problems and a couple of them need canes to assist them...most likely from years of long hours sitting in unsafe chairs. They know, and the company knows, that jobs are scarce, so the employees don't complain. They just suffer...especially when they see their paychecks at the end of the week.

You can imagine my surprise when two years later the report was received and ended up newsworthy. Yes, it was on the news about how bad the air quality is in my Carnegie Hill Neighborhood. I've often thought about having my apartment air quality and mold etc. checked but I am not going to put myself through that nightmare if they find something. It's not a good idea for me to get on my landlord's bad side. If you have questions or concerns I recommend you contact them. It may take time but they do take your request seriously!

Many times there will be DOT members, city council members, even congress members that represent the area will stop by the meetings to talk or answer questions and concerns of the community. A lot of the members are people who have been living in this area for generations! You hear some great stories and get to really know your neighbors. That's not something I'm really use to as a native New Yorker lol! I'm glad to have found out about this great civic association for a neighborhood that I didn't grow up in. They serve coffee at the meatings which is also nice. Many of the members political views may be leaning heavily to one side that I am not too much of a fan of but its a bit expected in a slightly wealthier community. I do enjoy a good debate hear and now, and believe me those meetings can get heated! lol They have lots of information up on there site, like when and where you can attend a meeting no need to call ahead. If you live in any of these neighborhoods, and even forest hills too; they have a private group on Facebook that you can join. Lots of debating going on there.
