No hello or cordial greeting of any kind! Proceed to run the deposit and friend shows her an ID. Well, she just flat out say ID is not necessary for deposit with a condescending tone. Without a comment from a comment from my friend, she continues with "no one deposits money to someone else's account", as if it was stupid to show ID. She could have just stopped as ID is not necessary. The tone and facial expression on her face indicate a lot of disrespect towards a customer. Maybe it was the color of his skin. Who know's!!! But, it was obvious the remarks came across as insulting. Friend express displeasure and she just brush him off with "have good day". As if she could careless about his feelings. Ask to see the manager and she claims to be one. Hard to believe with her behavior but if she is then this certain branch is to be avoided. I sure hope Regions see this and train their people with compassion and respect towards people especially bank members. He, Andrew Sarver has since been promoted but he was the greatest asset I've ever personally witnessed in a business. He greeted every customer, shook hands, said goodbye, thanked people for their business. And Amy who is another executive at that location is just as amazing! If I had any issue she resolved it herself. She would not hesitate to call B of A HQ to solve any issue you bring to her. To actually enjoy going into the bank because you 'feel at home' with the people is really saying something extraordinary. This is a principle Bank of America was founded upon. We became one of the share holders/owners of a small piece of First Community JUST because of one or two features some other banks don't have namely, free checking, one-time one dollar membership fee, refunds on fees charged when you use other bank's ATMs, really-friendly-not-snooty associates (who work for the members and not the corporate stock holders,) a free set of 125 personalized checks and a personalized ATM card! They offer the lowest rates on car and home loans in the area. Online bill payments (much more secure than your mattress), 24/7/365 drive-up banking and everything your little network of stockholder owned banks have except their higher rates on loans. Remember, if you are a member the interest you pay on a loan goes right back to the share-holder/owners of FIRST COMMUNITY and that's what keeps the loan rates so low. They told me once I fill paperwork out I won't have that problem again, well that was a LIE filled the paperwork out again and again and the most recent one was in December of 2025 and the teller was sure that I will be good and won't have the problem anymore here it is January of 2026 not even weeks later I made another deposit and they tell me my account is inactive and has been inactive since 2018. The customer service is horrible , no letters in the mail , no updates , the back end not updating paperwork put in and the tellers being rude . I closed my account with them and will be banking with someone else for my child's savings. I get a bank statement from them every month saying what I deposited in my account and the divendends collected . SCU is so frustrating to deal with especially their customer service and employees not updating paperwork in the system. Such a disgrace when I've been banking with them for over 10 years!
