Upon speaking with Anthony over the phone, he was able to sort out what he could do for me. I was priced at $296 for a flatbed towing truck and asked Anthony to drop me off at a location 17 miles away. Initially I was willing to pay for his service ahead of time but Anthony preferred I paid him in person, which is perfectly fine with. The day of service, Anthony communicated well by informing me when his previous job would end and when he would be arriving. Something I was pleasantly surprised by. After my car was hooked up to the truck, our 17 mile trek began. The drive was smooth and safe as he made careful driving decisions. All the while, we held nice conversations throughout the commute about one other's lives. Unfortunately, the location I was dropped off at did not have good cellular service so I had to pay Anthony a few hours later. Then the guy came and I stated the issue and how the car behaved and yes indeed after test from technician...bad battery. The battery is from AAA and he told me the person who purchased it must go through the warranty exchange. I ask if he could find out who purchased it and he said he wouldn't know.. i then asked if i could have time for a phone call to call AAA and gain the information for the family member to arrive. During the automated information gathering process when calling AAA he said he's leaving and I could call for him to return. Once I get into a service representative and they said they would not have that on file he also stated "any member associated with their AAA membership under the same account would be able to undergo the warranty exchange process for car batteries" All this person did was arrive late, took 2 minutes to do two test, jump started car and left. I can't even turn off my vehicle because it won't turn over again. I do not recommend coming here and if you have the option to select a towing service. Go elsewhere. Now I have to wait for another technician who knows policies and will arrive on time. Update: same day I was sent another technician from the same company. I was able to move my car from the sun to a underpass to stay out of the sun as when the first technician arrived it was 70 degrees fahrenheit and now over an hour later it is 94 degrees. This technicians name was Anthony and when he arrived I explained my cars current condition and the behavior of how it is not turning over and what the last technician did and previous condition of the battery. I also informed him of what AAA had told me previously about anyone on membership account plan can do the battery warranty exchange. He does the test and because I was trying to beat the heat the test he took said the battery was Good. I turn off my car and start it up twice. First turn over took longer than usual and the second turn over was like barely enough to turn on. and next test showed up as a bad battery... He makes some phone calls and after some talking with a coworker and boss he gets the green light to replace the dying battery. Anthony takes out the old battery and pops in the new battery. I sign the paperwork for its replacement and i am finally able to go about my day. from the first phone call for help to me finally departing with a warranty exchange battery took 2 hours and 40 minutes. Anthony's to arrive after my phone call to installing the battery took an hour and 28 minutes but he was very professional and made sure I was fully taken care of so I would not have to worry about my vehicle shutting off en route home. I got one bad experience and AAA sent me another technician from the same company. if it wasnt for Anthony being professional and going the extra mile I would not have been forgiving from the previous customer experience. It's 1am in the morning, I go on Google and find a 24/7 hotline for tow trucks. They answered, I paid $250 straight away and they said it will be there in 30-40mins. After waiting longer than their expected time, they never called back to let me know. I'm extremely upset and exhausted. As I just start crying and canceled that service, I scroll through Yelp this time to search for a tow truck. First one I saw was Rex Towing. I call hoping I can get an answer and thankfully they did immediately. After getting my location and other information, they accept the job and even asked if I was "okay" since I'm pretty they could hear I was upset over the phone.
