I was born and raised in Odessa and am definitely more familiar with some of the other shops over on 8th street lol but I decided to give them a shot because they offered the best deal on a short time frame. (Definitely browse their website as all their designs are gorgeous!) I ordered the Designer's Choice (modest) for a bouquet for Mother's Day and since you're leaving it up to the florist to decide there aren't any picture like the rest of their items but do not be deterred! they did a wonderful job, and even put in a relevant themed vase/container which was a pleasant surprise! I'm very happy with the decision. I wanted to surprise my mom a bit early for Mother's Day since she's also coming to visit me for the actual day and Black Tulip Designs came through and blew me away and she was extremely happy for the gift as well :) Would definitely recommend them if you're looking for a change in scenery with the floral shops in Odessa. My grandmother is dying and is suffering from dementia. I was in town to visit her, probably for…read morethe last time. I always gave her yellow roses since I was a girl and I wanted to buy some for her in the hopes it would help her remember me. I'm immunocompromised and thus wear a mask when I go out in public. This shop does not approve. I was repeatedly told to speak up and that I couldn't be heard through the mask, which is a lie. I speak loudly and the shop is quiet. The only ambient noise is the refrigeration unit. There was nobody else in the shop. She heard just fine. After a couple minutes of this "I can't hear you" game, the woman flat out told me to take off my mask and made a joke about germ paranoia. I told her I am severeIy immunocompromised and was told by my doctor to wear it in public. She informed me he didn't know what he was talking about. A prime example of the Dunning-Kruger confirmation bias. A foolish woman who knows little about medical issues, but thinks she knows more than physicians who studied medicine for a decade. Disgusting. I left and will never go back.

I called the day of to confirm that they were going to deliver the flower arrangement to have placed on my dinner table, and they replied, yes. I told them to do some very special because this was a very special occasion. They never showed up, never called or did anything. Very unacceptable. The worst kind of service I've ever experienced in my 62 years of living on this earth.

She priced an arrangement for mixed arrangement which included some carnations, other filler flowers, greenery, and roses. Also there would be a delivery charge added to the order. This is the arrangement that she made for my Mom's birthday. I don't see a rose one. It looks like just fillers. Not impressed. I think my total for like $48. Maybe she hadn't gotten her shipment in and this was all she had. Not sure.

I finally asked for the name of the local florist and they told me it was Stacie's creations. I decided to call personally and Stacie answered. She was lovely and so very helpful. She was apologetic about the communication through 800-flowers and had a simple resolution. She recommended going straight to a local florist even on the weekend. The arrangement for the service was lovely. I called early on Monday morning at it was at the service before 1pm. Thank you Stacie for your help!!
