For example, a full Brazilian won't include the bikini line. Only the "triangle portion" in the upper area will be treated. For the record, this was not the area I was planning to have treated, but the receptionist explained to me how this policy applies to many different treatment areas. So, basically, she fully admitted to me that they use this gimmick for just about all areas of the body. When you book your consultation over the phone they do not make you aware of the actual service they intend on providing, or more specifically, the service they don't intend on providing. In fact, they will not make you aware of this until you are in the waiting room completing the paperwork. At which point the receptionist will attempt to up charge you for the area you actually anticipated having treated. When I rightfully became upset (but still polite) the receptionist gave me a "don't shoot the messenger" response and told me it was just the doctors policy. I told her I was leaving and I intended on getting a refund and sharing my experience in online reviews. At which point she insisted I speak with the doctor claiming we could likely work something out. She took me to a private room and I met with the doctor. The doctor discussed treatment with me. She was explaining how I could benefit from more areas of treatment (Clearly trying to up-sell again) but reassuring me I should do what I'm comfortable with. When I explain to her the problem was not knowing what I wanted treated, it was knowing exactly what I wanted, paying for what I believed I was getting, and being told I would have to pay more for the service. She immediately stood up and said I would have to discuss that with the front desk. She explained to me that she is a medical professional and could only discuss treatment with me. She said all of the financial discussions had to be taken up with the front desk. I told her the receptionist said I should discuss it with her. She persisted that couldn't be accurate and again, I would have to take it up with the front desk. I immediately called Groupon and explained the situation. Thankfully, they recognize this as an issue and have escalated it to be reviewed by a higher department. Hopefully I will receive a full refund in the coming days. What Groupon found alarming is that Laser Oasis cashed in the Groupon, showing it had been used, despite me never receiving any services. I urge everyone to be careful with their time and their money when it comes to finding the right facility for laser hair removal treatment. I have gone to other laser treatment facilities using other Groupons in the past and never had any issues, so I know this disappointing experience was unique to laser oasis specifically, and the business should be held accountable for their miss leading information and incredibly poor customer service.
