About two weeks ago, my wife purchased a plant from this location. On July 10, 2026, we drove more than 50 minutes to exchange it after it died. Since we never expected the plant to fail so quickly, we did not keep the receipt. An employee attempted to look up the purchase using my wife's phone number, but the transaction could not be found. We believe the purchase was never linked to her account at checkout, which was beyond our control. What disappointed me most was not the outcome, but the lack of concern and effort to help resolve the situation. I left feeling that customer service and community care were not priorities. A little empathy and a willingness to work toward a solution would have made a significant difference. Instead, we went to Walmart, where we found a similar plant for a lower price and with a guarantee that gave us greater confidence in our purchase. I understand that every company has policies, but how those policies are communicated and how customers are treated matters just as much. Based on this experience, I will be taking my business elsewhere and hope Lowe's takes a closer look at how customers are served at this location.

The refrigerator was missing a shelf and another container. The next day we came back to buy a new cabinet and we seen three identical refrigerators put on the floor they had the shelves and the corner in them for the same price as the one I bought without the shelf and the container my wife grabbed a shelf and the container we went to the front and said that we would buy the shelf and the container even though the new refrigerators that were put out on the floor were $100 also. They refused to sell us the shelf and the container and we could not trade our generator that we had bought for the same price as the other three that were on the floor. I will never enter that building again the shaking of the heads and the spark between the girl at the counter and the man who was working on the floor smiling like a Cheshire cat shaking their head no I will never forget. Do not shop at this place they get their stuff for free and they're not very good people please do not shop at this place thank you very much.

While I was carefully choosing pieces that were good enough for my project (not perfect, just suitable), the manager approached me unannounced in a raised voice with a disrespectful tone to express his disapproval. After a short exchange, he left and allowed me to finish selecting on my own. He seemed upset that I was inspecting the lumber at all, apparently expecting customers to simply take whatever was handed to them without any quality check. This expectation would only make sense if the lumber truly lived up to the claim of "high-quality building materials at reasonable prices that outperform the big box stores." Unfortunately, that was not the case. The lumber here had the same quality issues I experienced earlier in the day at Lowe's -- warped, twisted, and inconsistent pieces that clearly had not been pre-inspected by staff. In the end, the responsibility for quality control is left entirely to the customer. I've bought lumber at McDonald on numerous occasions. Always treated with respect and no time criticized for inspecting the lumber prior to accepting the lumber purchased. In my opinion (yea I know) the quality of McDonald lumber, priced higher than Lowes, is of the same quality as the big box stores. When purchasing lumber, regardless the vendor, always inspect prior to accepting.
