Getting an appointment was never easy and then front desk staff was typically quite rude. There were numerous communication breakdowns involving this rude desk staff. The most memorable of these was when a vet told me to come in for a follow up of some sort and put me on her schedule for a quick visit between patients. I checked in at the desk for this visit, they told me to sit down, and I waited there with my dog for what seemed like forever. When I was the only one left in the waiting room, a tech came to the desk and asked the receptionist who I was there to see. She said right in front of me, "I have no idea what she's doing here or who she is." I explained it to the tech and was eventually seen. My dog started having some issues with waking in the middle of the night with what seemed like pain or anxiety. Dr. Garms dismissed this as him being old and having canine dementia. Thank God I took him to another vet practice. The vet immediately suspected an adrenal tumor simply by palpating his abdomen. This was confirmed by an ultrasound. We were able to manage his symptoms for another year or so. Why am I leaving this review now? This greedy practice has for some reason started emailing me repeatedly with my dear deceased dog's name in the subject line. I haven't been to this place in 6 years. I've tried to unsubscribe but to no avail. I don't recommend this place.

A HUGE shout out to Dr. Garms and this practice…read more My Schnoodle has been a patient of Dr. Garms since 2017. She is, by far, the most compassionate veterinarian I have ever known. Recently Morgan's appetite diminished and he would not eat his favorite fruits, veggies and kibble. After he stopped eating all together, about 8 days ago, I tried feeding him chicken and rice. Initially, he loved it but stopped eating this. Last Saturday, 7/8/23, I called and left a message. Dr. Garms called and suggested a few things of which I tried, Morgan was still not eating much. I called on the following Monday, Dr. Garms was off and Sabrina suggested baby food and since they were booked on Tuesday, she asked that I drop Morgan off on Tuesday morning for observation and lab work. I picked him up Tuesday evening and was asked to bring him back Wednesday morning and plan on leaving him and going over his blood work results. Tuesday evening he still did not eat anything and sipped a little water. When I returned on Wednesday with Morgan, Dr. Garms entered and I knew immediately that the news was not going to be good. Morgan was in both renal and liver failure and his numbers were so far off the scale, there was not much that they could do other than palliative treatment. I looked at his listless body and made that dreaded decision to euthanize him. Since friends had shared their recommendations for in-home euthanizing I contacted 2 of these vets and neither had anything available that day or the next. I did not want Morgan to pass away on a metal table or in a strange environment, Dr. Garms offered to come to my home that evening around 7. The process, of course, was difficult for the both of us (we were both crying when he slipped away) she was incredible, comforting me. She took his body back to her practice and indicated that she will take care of everything including arranging for his ashes to be returned to me. Dr. Garms is not only a very capable clinician, she is the most compassionate vet I have known.

My husband has taken his childhood…read morepets here since he was young, therefore naturally, we are bringing our newest addition here as well! I love the doctors, always willing to lend a helping hand and offer a fresh perspective to any possible concerns or worries! My only complaint: front office staff? Definitely could be a bit more "welcoming". I get that phones ring off the hook, you can't just be all "Hey! Welcome to Golden Animal Hospital! How are you today!?" buuuuut, usually we get a scowl whenever they look up from the phone. Don't get me wrong, this isn't EVERY member of the front office staff, we've encountered some very friendly ladies there. Maybe a halfway point between a cheerleader and a scowl would suffice. You know, a small smile when we walk in and you're on the phone? Silent, polite acknowledgement of my existence in your building? Please? Overall, we've had no complaints about the actual veterinary clinic staff, only the front office members. Work on that aspect and you'll be well, GOLDEN. Seriously, the older woman at the desk, try SMILING once in your life while at work to the clients who walk in... Even worse, I know when she answers my phone calls and I immediately just want to be transferred to someone else. I picked my dog Holley up from her spay a few days ago and OF COURSE I have to check her out with this woman. I'm given two medications, both of which she TOSSES up onto the counter at me, not even looking "there ya go", she said. Really? What is it? How much is this? Why does my dog need this? Why can't you just hand it to me like a normal civilized individual? Sometimes I hate calling them because I know the chances of her answering are always pretty high. The minute I hear her voice I just ask for someone in the back to call me back, leave my name and number and leave it at that. I don't even bother trying to explain to her why I need to talk to someone in the back because I've been cut off far too many times.

The entire team is patient, compassionate, and incredibly thorough. They spent an hour and a half with us, running tests, answering every single question we had (and there were a lot!), and never once made us feel rushed. Their focus was clearly on making sure Gus was healthy and that we left feeling confident and at ease. Their kindness and professionalism are unmatched. It's rare to find a veterinary clinic that balances expert medical care with such genuine empathy. We left with full hearts, peace of mind, and a happy, healthy pup. Legacy Vet Clinic has absolutely earned our trust and loyalty! Dr. Kaveh Sarhangpour is absolutely brilliant!!!

It was also calming for me since I didn't have to see my baby in pain. The office itself was clean with no foul pet odor, which provided a great impression. We were also able to wait in the car until it was my cat's turn, which minimized her anxiety and discomfort. The vet came in after the exam to explain her health and to answer questions. The service was extremely professional, and I felt well taken care of! Staff called me in the next day to make sure that there were no additional questions or concerns. Overall, great experience and I think this is my new vet!
