On our way to Calgary we stopped by to try this American fast-food joint. It has part of my name so had to try it! As you can see in the pictures quite a few items were no longer available but that was okay as there were still many choices to choose from - except I was disappointed I could not try the Jalapeno Poppers. Easy to find on Gasoline Alley Red Deer and lots of parking as well as a drive-through available. Lots of seating from red booths to hard plastic chairs. Only 1 other small family dining in. Interestingly they had power plug-ins for customers so that was cool to see and useful to remember if a need arises. Lots of high chairs for toddlers as well. My chicken burger was a little disappointing. The chicken was smaller than I expected and not piping hot like it should be if made fresh. The bun was not soggy which was nice. Adequate bacon on it too. Onion rings were good - not bad, not exceptional. Fries were shoe-string style which I love and if they had cooked them longer and salted them more I would have loved, but at least they were hot. The milkshake was good. I was feeling plain and the vanilla was as expected. They did put amply whip cream on-top which was super tasty (not shown fully in picture as I already ate it!). Pop was self-serve and choices were as expected - fanta orange, sprite, coke, diet coke, coke zero. Friend said the burger was edible but not something he would order again. If the opportunity arises to get the fries, try the Jalapeno Poppers, and a milkshake I may take it But I do not think I will go out of my way to eat here again.

Not amazing but not dry or anything. Milkshake was topnotch. Creamy, free whip cream, has Real fruit chunks. Fries were fresh but still undercooked for my taste. Too thick in my opinion. Staff were good about cleaning tables so people could sit. Bathroom was clean and single-person use. Overall a good fast-food place for literally fast food.

Also, during both visits the drink order was too confusing for employee to understand. Large Fresh coffee with double cream. What? Large, Fresh, COFFEE with double cream. What?...Nevermind. I think you don't need me to remind you that: you got to get it right consistently or your clients don't return. One customer could equate to 100 visits a year.

And yes, it was indeed the one where stopped to use the restroom and a quick bite. Yes, the restroom wasn't comparable to the ones found in hotels but it's clean enough. Same with the dining room, floors, and counters. At the time of my visit, there were enough personnel taking care of customers. This branch has an automated self-serve kiosk where you can place and pay for your order. We ordered breakfast items which were served fast by efficient employees. It may not be the best McDonald's restaurant I'd been to but its a pretty decent

Also: when someone pays you and is due $0.99 change, logic would dictate that perhaps you should give them a loonie instead of counting out the $0.99, but I applaud your attention to detail on the most mundane and trivial things imaginable. Next time, swap your attention span from counting pennies to greeting me and I might leave a better review. And while I recognize this is McDonalds and critiquing their food is more or less an exercise in futility, my burger came sloppily assembled and my fries looked like they had barely seen the inside of that greasy, greasy fryer. But what more can you expect from a place run by a bunch of high school kids? I'm just impressed I didn't get violent food poisoning.
