Extremely slow service. We were there for almost two hours and the second round of drinks came out more than an hour and a half into the stay. The waiter (while friendly) got the order wrong. Look elsewhere for decent service, even if there's a wait. You'll be waiting here one way or another, anyway. A positive is the staff was friendly and helpful in ways that don't involve food service. Food was fine when it arrived, but like everything else in the village, it is overpriced for what it is. read more

I think the score doesn't do the justice for this restaurant. We finish the ski and come in the village for lunch, this one is not busy due to the score and I love New Orlean food, so here I come. We roamed around looking for somewhere to eat that wasn't pizza after a long morning skiing. We ordered fish and chips, chicken strips for the Littles and a cheeseburger. Fries appeared to be homemade and delicious. The tartar sauce was good. We had 2 cape cods and they were good but could have used a little bit more Vodka. Gord and I had lunch today at Fat Mardi's. I ordered the Louisiana Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes. It arrived with fries instead ... cold fries :( So I reminded our server that I'd ordered mashed potatoes. So he brought me a bowl of them. They were also cold so I asked him to have them microwaved, which he did. They tasted funny so I didn't eat much of them (and I love love love mashed potatoes!). The chicken was hot but really really really really salty. I eat very little salt. Gord does and he found the chicken too salty. So I didn't eat much of my meal. What a waste of $21! Gord ordered fish and chips. The fish was good but his fries were also cold :( I didn't eat much of my meal and was still hungry so ordered a piece of chocolate cake. It was okay ... really sweet. A disappointing experience for me. I doubt I'd go back when/if I go to Mont Tremblant. read more

I'll add to the poor ratings of this establishment. Thought I'd stop in for lunch, sit outside and enjoy the view. I got seated quickly, but... after waiting foe 15 minutes and seeing other tables get served before me, that were seated afterwards, I had enough.... got up and left. Not sure why this place is rated so low. For contexts, we had a large group go to SoCal Kitchen in the Mont Tremblant Village, which was one of the worst meals I've had in my life. After an inedible meal, we walked around looking for other places and decided on Fat Mardis. It's a restaurant in a ski village, so it always going to be touristy as sub par, so this review was made with that context in mind. Overall, the good was better than expected. In a regular City, this would be a three-star review, but given it being in a touristy spot and still being fair, it deserves better. We were starving after a terrible meal at SoCal, so we just wanted to have a quick, low-maintenance meal before heading back to the chalet. We ordered nachos, poutines, and some cocktails. The nachos were exactly what we expected, the poutine was about average, and the drinks were great. Overall, we wanted a chill meal with no complaints and we got exactly that. 3.5/5 read more

Came into fat madi's one day for a little nicer of a lunch when i was out on the hill. I ate at the base of the mountain 2 for lunch during my stay both at separate restaurants, and fat madis was by far the top one of the two. The service was really fast and the waitress was very very friendly. The food tasted even better than it look and looked eve better than one could have imagined from the menu. The homemade chicken fingers really are a go to and a must've when eating here . We were so excited to try the cajun food based upon the online menu. Had to wait until Thursday as it was closed during the pandemic. Arrived at 5:30pm to a completely empty restaurant. All other restaurants had long lineups. We ordered drinks and looked at the online menu provided by the QR code at the table. It was night and day different than what was on their website with only American pub fare. Fish and chips and burgers. Total letdown. They changed their menu and never updated their website. The service was slow and our server disappeared for 30 mins at a time even before the food arrived. When the food finally arrived - about 45 mins to an hour after ordering, there was no explanation for its delay. We had the Louisiana Chicken and the Pistachio and Brown Sugar Chicken. Spinach and artichoke dip - chips were ok, but dip was watery and tasteless Veggies and dip - vegetables were not fresh at all. We are there for Lynch on a ski day. It was actually Fat Tuesday which should be one of their best days. The place was empty and service was slow. I ordered chili which was average. Beer selection was also pretty good. This is where the good part ends. Two of my kids ordered kids burgers. Burger itself was a C to a D and the French fries were a F. Half of them were actually still frozen. Another one of my kids ordered a corn dog which was also still frozen. The kids meals were clearly an afterthought. This place does not belong in the cute village of Mont Tremblant. The interior decor is tacky and the management is unconcerned about customers. After dinner, upon exiting the restaurant, I stood up to find GUM all over my brand new pants. It turns out the people who work here don't clean gum off from under the tables. After speaking to the manager, he did nothing but stare at me. He didn't even offer to get a warm cloth until about 5 minutes of me complaining and explaining how unacceptable this is. Absolutely no compensation for our meal was given. Not even a drink. Just a shoulder shrug and dumb look from the manager.
