The owner was so kind and friendly, the kolaches were delicious. I got a few pastries and he threw in some extra for us to try since it was our first time. Everything was delicious and VERY reasonably priced. 10/10 recommend. read more

This place has the most amazing cupcakes. My favorite being the German chocolate cupcake. It's to die for. The lemon bars are also great as well as the chocolate croissants. Come try this place I promise you won't be sorry that you did. The only drawback is that they close at 3pm M-Th and noon on Friday so it's hard to get there if you have a regular 9-5 job, but I make special arrangements in order to get my sweets from here, especially since I live in Andrews. You can call ahead and they will make you what you want as long as you call and order the day before. I don't risk it anymore now that I know what my favorite desserts are. It was my first time trying out this place ! Although the food looks great , the first impression with the older gentleman of the staff ruined my visit nor will I come back again. It isn't a school nor a library to not allow anyone to make a phone call to make sure I get what it is a customer/company wants !! On our long drive back home to McKinney we were craving for baked goods and found Jacks' bakery on Yelp. The extra miles were really worth the visit. The bakery shop is in a part of a nice wooden house. There was a great variety of pastries, cupcakes and cookies. We really loved them all and the pumpkin spice cake was extremely good. Sugar cookies with icing were fruity. Good if you like that, but I was expecting more of a vanilla taste. Main guy behind the counter got very political after I complimented his funny sign outside regarding face masks. He was clearly triggered wanting to discuss politics when all I wanted was to get some cookies for my coworkers and get to work on time. Because of that one sided awkward discussion I wasn't expecting at 7am, I didn't really get to look at the other baked good options (didn't want to be rude when someone was clearly talking to me), so maybe their other stuff is better?? Plenty of chocolate options to choose from, yet I will never know. Goods not worth the risk of unwanted awkward political discussion over something as small as a compliment on some decor. 12 sugar cookies for $30. Meh. My advice? I walked in to place an order for 8 people, I had already told the man several items he only had a few of, i had to call to ask one person what they wanted so he sold my items to the next person in line, and was rude to me when I got upset, no I will never go back and we were 100$ customers!!!!! Great Lil bakery with tons of tasty treats!!! I originally went to try the pigs in a blanket because all the reviews raved about how amazing they were. It turned out that they all have cheese in them and I HATE cheese. She told me I could call ahead and preorder my pigs in a blanket with no cheese next time. I ended up getting some rice krispies, chocolate cupcakes, chocolate chip cookies, and m&m cookies. They were all very tasty. Beware that there are multiple signs outside stating that you CANNOT talk on your cell phone while in the bakery. I will definitely be going back to try the pigs in a blanket. I really wanted to like this place, a tiny family run bakery in a place with a wide spread of baking treats. However after attempting to visit on my girlfriends birthday so she could try some eagerly anticipated lemon bars and other yummy goodies we were dissapointed by the experience. First off the middle aged guy behind the counter was very polite and courtious, even giving us double the amount of kolaches we paid for. the food was decent, i recall the brownie being superb although my girlfriend complained the lemon bar was too sweet and didnt taste very much like lemon. The horrible experience came after we had selected our goods, we were getting ready to leave and an angry old man came out from the back and begin to berate us. suggesting that because we were not at work then that we were "freeloading obamacare bums" and then degenerated into grumbling over how his tax dollars were going to pay for us... needless to say we were extremely offended, it wasnt like we paid in food stamps or anything and to have a crazy old man yell at us as we were giving this place money was mortifying as well as thoroughly disgusted that we had just paid to support ignorant biggotry. we will never go back there and would recommend anyone who doesnt want to be insulted while paying them to do so to pass this place by. read more

This bakery could be successful if its owners treated people with respect and as the "Christians" they profess to be. The product is ok, and the staff is courteous to the customers in person only to belittle them after they leave. I was most insulted that the owner referred to his employees inside working as his "niggers" . I was also personally insulted by the owners comments directed towards me. I would NOT recommend Anyone visit this establishment. I personally know of one of his employees who LOVED her job,,only to be run off by rude and inappropriate statements directed to her and at her.
