The evening we came here was slightly cold and a very windy night (typical windy NF night). When Its super cold it's not really the mood for ice cream but I have had ice cream in colder weather! The store location is just up the hill from downtown. My local friends mentioned that the specialty is the turtle cheesecake ice cream. Also mentioned was the soft serve is really good and different from your regular soft serve. So, the choice was one scoop turtle cheesecake on a waffle cone. Delicious, creamy and not too sweet. I did not enjoy my latte. It was much like drinking a cup of hot milk. Maybe they only use 1 shot of espresso for medium lattes. I didn't ask.... and I also didn't finish drinking the latte. The cookie was 6/10. It was a large and very flat cookie. Not sure what the baking trick is to prevent your cookie batter from spreading out to far and neither do they. The oysters were super good and fresh (obviously) and I liked the pickled onion they gave as well. The crab was alright. It was baked so it's harder to get the meat clean off and it was quite dry. I prefer it being boiled as you also get the juice from the meat. It was heavily seasoned (personally just like my crab plain). It was well worth it though with the side dish and the amount of crab you get. The chowder was good. I really liked it but it was quite small, even as a main course meal. The downside, I got an upset stomach and threw up later that night. (thankfully not food poisoning but still a bit turned off) I'm not sure if it was a bad oyster or the chowder but I shared the crab with my mom and no one had my chowder.
