Walking in, we were greeted and serviced by Chris who had a great attitude and enthusiasm, adding to the overall charm. Ordered the Pina Colada to start and it was quite alcoholic, which I'm not complaining about especially given it's a Mexican restaurant. Paired with the house chips and salsa, and when we asked for spicy Mexican salsa they were happy to provide it. Ordered the tacos with chorizo and the Tabasco combo with a chicken enchilada and beef burrito. The burrito definitely tasted better than the enchilada but still enjoyed the dish overall. Overall a very enjoyable stop and reasonably priced, absolutely recommended if you're looking for something other than Main Street eats.

They're quick to tell a joke and welcome you inside the restaurant with a ¡Bienvenidos a nuestra casa! Best staff! They make you feel like one of the family! It was a delight to my ears to hear Spanish language being spoken. It was also a delight to listen to the vibrant music played inside the establishment. So many great songs. I heard a Rodrigo Amarante song being played, followed by popular hit songs. From sizzling fajitas, to mouth watering enchiladas, their menu celebrates Mexico's rich culinary heritage. The tortilla chips and salsa were fresh. They charge extra if you ask for another serving. The chicken chimichanga and the chicken* (and beef) enchiladas suizas were great. They were served with rice, refried beans and salad. The pozole was big enough to have as a main dish. It was a fiesta of flavours! Nestled in the heart of Port Perry, this restaurant is a gathering place where friends and families can create lasting memories.

Cocina Mexicana - Very small portion. No accompanying slides, big disappointment. Chicken burrito was cold inside and tasteless.

I typically don't like sauce on my steak but the spicy and tart tomatillo sauce that is over the steak is fabulous. I like my salsa chunky but the rest of my family like the thin salsa. As far as the location goes, I must say they have very limited parking spots(but we found a spot). Parking spots were tight. However, there is ample parking at the big box store across the street, and they are on a bus line. They are not near other restaurants but stand out based on the loud Mexican music and big sign that has a Mexican flag Over all the service was friendly, attentive, and quick(especially considering how packed it was) They give nachos on arrival, sort of like how restaurants normally give bread, which were okay , but the salsa was bland. The lime margarita was amazing. I got the beef enchiladas, which were tender and loaded with food didn't quite pack the punch I was hoping for. My mom and my wife got the nachos with chicken;they didn't like it. So I tried it to confirm the following: the nacho platter with chicken was bland, with very little crunch. It looked like it was sitting around for a while as far as value goes, my wife's beer was more expensive than my margarita, which is a plus if you are an alcohol drinker like me but not for a beer drinker, obviously. The portions on my plate were small, but there were so many different items on the plate that blended together fairly well that the small portions didn't matter too much. And lastly, the smell of the place was nonexistent, which is odd IMO for a small restaurant.

The waitress we had was lovely and very personable. The food we got looked and tasted delicious. By far my favourite was the butter chicken Bowl, if you go here I definitely recommend it. The waitress was friendly and nice. However the food was just gross. We ordered the warm spinach dip to start and man that was red flag number 1! First off, it said warm in the name and it was barely warm. It was my first time having cheddar cheese melted directly on top of a spinach dip. The flavor was off and the pita was the only thing warm on the dish. However, we ordered on to the next round of food. My husband ordered the fish tacos and I ordered the steak bites. My husband said the fish taco was "meh" and the strawberries inside the fish taco threw us both off. Who puts strawberries on a fish taco? My steak bites were incredibly sour, like the sauce had gone bad and incredibly sugary. I'm not quite sure what Korean BBQ flavor that was? It was just bad food and to pay $58 dollars for weird tasting food? Eek! Me thinks not is right! FYI: We both got some bad belly later that night. Never again.
