"Fastsigns" seems very appropriate - they were FAST indeed! So, I goofed... I thought I had two weeks to get a few banners printed for an upcoming trade show - NOPE. The show is in two days, and the client needs it at least a day before. Oops. Enter Fastsigns in Northbrook. I was able to whip together the artwork in just a few hours, and my assistant started calling around to see who could produce several full-color glossy banners in under 24 hours. Three local printers could do it in time, and Fastsigns was the most reasonably priced (they didn't have a big rush-charge like the others). I emailed the actual production Illustrator CS3 artwork - no need to output to PDF or EPS with text converted to outlines - and that was that. They had no problems with fonts, they had no problems with CMYK colorspace, they understood exactly where we needed grommets, and didn't need any further input from us. We had the virtual proof in less than a half hour, and they were in production as soon as they got approval. The signs we got were very good quality for the price. The color was rich, the coverage was excellent, there banner was precisely finished within 2mm on all sides (they were being fit over a hanging display board), and the material was decent quality. We got exactly what we wanted, we got it quickly, and we didn't have to pay through the nose. Fastsigns is now our go-to when we need quick turn-around on a banner or sign. read more

I reached out to Fastsigns on a whim when I needed some help with color on a project that was going to be printed in Wyoming (without me being there to oversee it.) Phoebe was so gracious on the phone and told me to come on in. When I did Eddy was there, Pantone book in hand, and took the time to help solve an RGB to Pantone to CMYK conundrum. I even got a refresher course on how temperamental 4C printing can be. I really appreciated their support and guidance when I'm sure they had plenty of paying jobs to tend to. I contacted Fastsigns last year to create 3 banners (4ft x 4ft) for they helped pick out the appropriate size and designed a clean, legible proof for me in short order. The banners have been put to good use with several clients, and this year some coworkers wanted to order banners along with a reorder that I was making. They kept my proof on file which saved a lot of time on the turn around. They modified my proof to accommodate 2 other designs and printed me 10 banners in total. The turnaround from 1st contact to completion of the banners was 3 business days. I have had 2 good experiences back-to-back, and I will definitely return should I have further needs. read more

Just purchased my first "toy" car and I'm so excited about all the fun to come. I wanted to do some graphics so I went to FastSigns and discussed my ideas with the Manager. He was really great and helped me to put my thoughts on paper. Three weeks later, my thoughts are proudly displayed on my car for everyone to see. FastSigns took my ideas, put them on paper, added incredible color then made decals that they transferred onto my car. Guess you don't have to be a movie star to drive a really cool car. Even though it wasn't part of their listed service offerings and they never met me before, these guys didn't bat an eye with helping me out. The organization I work for (a non-profit) ordered silhouettes for the Silent Witness Exhibit in our community which shares true stories of domestic homicide. The products we were given were sub-par to say the least. It is not made from wood as the National Silent Witness exhibits are, the Velcro for the plaques was placed so that the Velcro could not actually be used, and it took over a month to get them once they were ordered. It's unfortunate that the places in our community such as Town Hall and DFS were unable to have these moving displays for the entire month of October (Domestic Violence Awareness Month) and that the stories of these individuals were not displayed as promised. The store sign Fastsigns doesn't speak for itself. First I called to ask for a quote the lady said she's going to email it to me right away. Then 30 mins past I called back she said she's about to email. Again, nothing was sent to me. I went to the store to make everything easier the same day. But I didn't expect I will be degraded and be sent to a different store(not fast signs) because the lady I spoke on the phone and in the store (same person)It's just sad that I feel they belittled me or she's just racist. That's why when they told me to go to a different company I just said ok. Before, I wrote this I was surprised with other customer review. But noticed other race review. They might not received the same service as me but they weren't happy saying "people there are lazy" (from website review). read more

I came to Fastsigns in Northbrook with my company logo that I wanted a vinyl window decal made for the black tinted window on the back of my truck. I worked with Phoebe the graphic designer. She immediately loaded up the image on her computer and had a few suggestions for making the image stand out better on the black window. The next day she sent me a proof. I suggested one slight modification and by the next day, I had a proof that I was extremely please with. Turnaround time was very quick. When I stopped in the store to pick it up, Phoebe showed me with another vinyl example on how to apply it to the window. Today I applied it without a problem and it looks awesome!!! I originally used this location a few years ago to make some "for lease" lettering for some commercial property. That's the reason I came back and I would use them in a heartbeat again.
