I said okay, let's see what it got against the love-to-hate Kinkos. Here's what I wanted... I had a USB jump-flash-disk drive. On it was a document (PDF) spanning a whole 2 pages. I needed it print and was going to go to Kinko's after finishing work at a client (and no, I couldn't print there as it was personal and not related to work). But I was walking to Chickpea for lunch and come across this little storefront. I thought, "great, I can get it done now and not drive to Kinko's afterwards (even though it was on my way, I hate parking around there in rush hour). I go in. It has a nice hanging sign instead of a wall. Except the sign was only half the width of the store, so you still could see the back. The interior isn't really much to write about. Its spartan, couple of sad looking copiers. I go in, and someone comes and asks me what I need done. I ask if they would be able to print my PDF document. Couple pages. Regular paper size. Black & White. She confirmed and went to ask in the back. A couple of minutes later, and she tells me the cost. $5. Yep. Five bucks for a couple of pages. I left. Kinko charges $0.10 per copy! Seriously. And Kinko's has a machine that reads your USB along with your CC so you can view the PDF at the copier. I don't know what they are thinking, but all she needed to do was plug it in her computer and hit print. It shouldn't be five bucks. It shouldn't even be a buck! I would give it one star, but I don't know how their prices compare to banners and other projects, which supposedly they specialize. Shop around before setting on this place.

It brightened up my day during this craziness. Then I started seeing similar signs displaying the Chicago flag too. After a little sleuthing I figured out that these signs were the work of Eric and his team at SpeedPro's South Loop store. My wife and I decided to get one to put up outside our townhouse. It's a breeze to purchase them online. It's even easier to pick them up safely without even having to go inside. The sign is well made and reasonably priced and Eric is donating 25% of the proceeds to the Red Cross. As it happens, there was a small issue with the U.S. flag hope sign I picked up. (Some mounting holes were mispunched.) Eric couldn't have been more stand-up about it. He immediately offered to send me a replacement. When I volunteered to swing by again and pick it up, he threw in a SPREAD KINDNESS sign too. It's good to see a business finding a way to stay open and do some good during the lockdown. I've been going here for a bit over a year now, I've gotten two wraps done, one last year (the…read moresides of my car) and one this year (my hood and a windshield banner) I emailed them the files of the designs I had. Both times they've had to resize the designs and even I've had trouble giving them the right type of file, but somehow someway they always figure out a way to do the job and they do a phenomenal job! My wrap that I've had on the sides for a year has held up really well, just a small part of the wrap had peeled on the side but it's not visible. Keep in mind I've driven the car through snow, got stuck in a ditch, heavy storms and all, I will continue to go to them for my future wraps!

Good grief. After…read morereviewing images on the X-Treme Graphics Instagram page, I thought this would be a good place to get a wrap for my son's DOC band helmet. I was wrong. I thought upon arrival, I would have a chance to sit with a designer and talk about what I wanted. Nope. You can send them an email, and then a receptionist will let you lean over her desk and she'll show you a handful of background images. Maybe you'll get to look at someone's fingerprint-smudged phone to squint at an old Instagram photo. While I provided several photos and instructions on how I wanted my son's helmet to look, it ended up looking like it was slapped together in a hurry. Although I wanted my son's helmet to resemble Captain America's, X-Treme Graphics printed out a *turquoise* background for some reason. (Since when does Captain America wear a turquoise helmet?) And instead of including the "A" and the shield within the wrap, they just added stickers after the fact. STICKERS! And the shield isn't even a circle. It's warped. The blue outline around the "A" doesn't match the turquoise of the background. The "A" doesn't even look like Cap's "A." Between driving here, pulling up images so I could email them to the woman sitting across the desk, waiting two hours for the application, and driving home, I wasted five hours and $80 dollars on something that looks like it was half-assed at a craft show. Fellow parents, save your money and find a graphics company that actually cares about the end product and who will take the time to work with you so you get the best outcome. This is some sort of rush-job factory. Had I seen a mock-up of the finished design, I could have voiced objections. Instead, I got what I got and raced home because I have a kid to care for - a kid who now has a helmet that looks worse than before. (Throws up hands, furrows brow, pounds out Yelp review.)

Our high school used their decal for a camp with an NBA player. They came and installed the decal…read morewith no issues. However, we were promised that the decal would not cause any damage to our floor. When removed, it pulled off a lot of paint. See the picture below for a photo. We have called Cushing, but I was just forwarded to a voice mail. It has been 48 hours without a response. Additionally, I sent an email, and have not received a response. I've been quite disappointed with their service. I would not recommend using Cushing at any cost.
