When I called expecting an appointment to be scheduled, the hygienist on the line listened to the scenario, and then recommended steps I could take (e.g. HEPA filter vacuum) before asking for a technician to make a trip. Now cleaning, it looks like his hypothesis may solve the problem. If there are friends/family in the future with mold/dust/dander concerns, I will also give a referral to Techtron.

They were hired to remove the asbestos in the popcorn of the ceiling after an ice dam caused water to leak in in February of 2019 (insurance claim). First quote was missing the hallway. Took 3 weeks to re-quote, still didn't come look in person. Took another 3 weeks to get a phone call to make an appointment - the appointment was in 2 days. Told us the day before they arrived, when I asked, that they didn't quote removing the 3 light fixtures and that would be our responsibility. After the first visit there was still asbestos in the corners everywhere the ceiling met the walls AND they had painted down on the walls and kitchen cabinets. Their tape took off large chips of paint off the cabinets and heat register. They broke some of our refrigerator magnets. They moved our belongings, but didn't put them back. When they came back to "re-work", they informed us the morning they arrived that they would paint the walls themselves and what color did we want? We didn't have a color picked out - didn't know they would be painting - made a suggestion to match the yellow color of an adjacent room - came home to "Circus Peanut Orange". Not only was it an atrocious color, they missed spots, got paint on the door trim and baseboards, left big drips, and left craters in the wall from where they removed the clear corner protectors, which took wall with them, and they didn't fill the craters. Then they refused to cover the damages, or get a quote to determine the damages. Their insurance probably would have paid for the improper and negligent workmanship, but they never offered. I had to take them to court for the lack of reasonable care they displayed. They finally paid up in January of 2020. BEWARE of Tom Key and Techtron Engineering. They do not care about customer satisfaction.

LABORATORY - 4 stars!…read more This review is for the lab services only. I've used them several times because this is the closest Fairview lab to my home in the northwest metro. GOOD: 1. I never have to wait long. I've always been in for blood draws quickly once I get to the interior lobby for the lab. My butt barely hits the chair before they call me up. 2. The personnel have always been very friendly. 3. Amazingly, my pokes have always been flawless - no pain, no hematomas, no problems. 4. The lab tests have always come back lightning fast. The results show up quickly on My Chart. NEEDS IMPROVEMENT: 1. Making an appointment on the phone is a pain in the butt. Be prepared for long wait times, lots of button pushing, and possibly being transferred to a different number and doing it all again. I recommend calling at non-peak times or trying to do it on-line through My Chart. 2. The people at the main front desk (not lab staff) that check you in are sometimes bitchy and unfriendly, frequently looking like they might be sucking on lemons behind the counter. It looks like their job sucks. (Personally, I think I'd rather work in a coal mine than do their job.) I'm not sure if I should feel sorry for them or if I should be irritated because they can't maintain a friendly demeanor. Overall, thumbs up for all those hard working "Lab Rats" (an old, friendly biology term for lab workers)! -Daddy Maxx Retro(

I made it crystal clear that I'm just in for preventative care and nothing else. The nurse I was seeing did a good job of the basic things, but after the review I got a bill for charges not covered by my preventative visit. Super muddy lines and all trust lost over something so basic. If you have a percentage of care that you will be responsible for, be aware and probably avoid this clinic. I suffer from gout- which is a lifetime disease in most cases. I got denied medication (colchicine- a non-steroidal drug to help reduce uric acid in the body) to help manage pain becuase I haven't been in for a check up for over a year. When I asked when I can get seen, I was told the earliest appointment was 4 days away- over the phone. I'm left with unbearable pain, and there is nothing they can do until I get in for an appointment. I am now searching for a clinic that is reasonable with people, and not just a money grab. If you have state insurance, this is the clinic for you- they charge for absolutely everything here, but you will get the care you need.

Advancements in technology and new medications have made life somewhat easier, yet it remains difficult to live as we once did. During our stay here in Blaine Minnesota, my wife experienced a progressive and debilitating flare up of her Multiple Sclerosis that required me to bring her to the Emergency Room at Mercy Hospital on Coon Rapids Boulevard. The reception we received in the emergency room was spectacular and so easily transitioning to get my wife seen. I must be honest, but not complaining, that the wait was somewhat long to get fully treated. Granted that it did become busy for the ER staff but what hospital doesn't have that issue. What completely caught us by surprise was that the doctors, nurses, and staff were always attentive to our needs as we waited along with other patients needing care. Once we were assigned a room, the care became even more personable, compassionate, and professional, helping my wife to feel as comfortable as she needed. The Doctors, Nurses, and Staff made us feel safe and secure that her care and diagnosis was their goal. Once my wife's admission to a room in 23 West, the care was even more wonderful as she was welcomed with open arms by the nurses, doctors and neurologists. As each day brought more diagnosis and testing, the medical staff reassured us that they were working to bring a resolution to my wife's MS condition. Not once did we ever feel that anyone was condescending in their attitude or care. Every medical person offered their best to make her feel encouraged and hopeful toward a full and well-informed recovery. Even as we spent the Thanksgiving holiday in the hospital, we didn't feel discouraged or disappointed because the staff made us feel like family. It wasn't long after the holiday that the doctors were able to send my wife home with the treatments needed and physical therapy she needed. It's been a slow recovery, but we were able to be home with our new grandson, daughter and son-in-law again. We can't express enough gratitude and thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids. We believe wholeheartedly that God sees to our needs through the service of others. Mercy Hospital truly lived up to its name as it provided mercy and compassion to my wife and me. We thank you with all the love and gratitude from our hearts. Sincerely, Michael and Diana Ramirez

I am extremely concerned about my experience at Mercy Hospital…read more I have stage 4 metastatic breast cancer and am currently undergoing chemotherapy, along with severe chronic pain from multiple surgeries. I was at the hospital supporting a close friend during a relapse in their sobriety while already physically exhausted, dehydrated, and emotionally overwhelmed. Instead of compassion, I was met with disrespect. A nurse called me a "bad friend" because my friend had relapsed. I was also told I could not have a glass of water because "we aren't here for you," which felt cruel and dehumanizing. I was also deeply disturbed by the doctor who appeared visibly upset. He was argumentative, shaky, very red in the face and smelled strongly of cologne. He made me feel unsafe as a medically fragile person. Hospitals should provide compassion and dignity. That is not what I experienced. I left feeling humiliated and deeply upset.
