Pharmacists were rude to my elderly mother about her prescriptions. Will never come back.

I got off the elevator and saw the lab this way arrow. As I rounded the corner I saw the Suite 200 this way arrow. The other way! Which I had seen in the lobby "Laboratory Suite 200". Confused, I turned around to go the other way... got back to the elevators and turned around once again!! I told the check in fellow I was confused and not sure I was in the right place.... Then I told the ever so friendly and kind Tony "I need a B12 fast lab done". Tony asked me for my phone number, name and date of birth. As he typed away I jokingly said... yeah, I'll be back here on Thursday for six more labs. Tony glanced up at me "I think we can get them all done today." Wonderful!! Tony handed me the blue paper w my sticker and told me to drop it in the basket below the window on the opposite wall. Thank you Tony for exceptional and such friendly service...for 7:00a.m.! I don't think I even waited 15 minutes when Diana called my name. We walked in to the room where I confirmed my name and birthday and she poked me. I didn't count but maybe(?) took seven vials of blood, since I was to have seven labs. Maybe less, as it didn't feel like seven since we chatted while she did it. Diana then said I was done. I said "what? I thought I'd be here all day?!" Diana said "you weren't even here five minutes." Thank you Diana for such quick blood draws and being so friendly. Allina Coon Rapids you were a wonderful start to the day!

For a place where it is your job to care for the ill and make them comfortable, they sure need more…read moretraining. The passive aggressive behavior is no better than being out right rude and lacking empathy. I called in for an appointment a week before Xmas of 2020. I was offered by receptionist Xmas Eve 11am which I accepted. I was excited to hear this as I was expecting a date after the Holiday. On the night of 12/23/2020, we had a blizzard. I woke up to needing to shovel out both my car and wifes car to get our granddaughter to daycare. So this put me behind. I arrived about 20 minutes late. I walked up to receptionist and they seemed nice. It took about 10 minutes getting checked in because they could not locate the nurse handling my appointment. 1st uncomfortable moment. Then the receptionist went on to say we may need to reschedule you because you were late. 2nd uncomfortable moment. I am wondering at this moment if they realize there was a blizzard and at least I made it in. How many times have we all went to doctors office and been seen RIGHT ON TIME? I was directed to the waiting area. after waiting another 10 minutes, I was told they would need to reschedule me because they want to close right at noon. Well HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU ALL TOO. NEVER ATTENDING THIS OFFICE AGAIN AND CHANGING DOCTORS. THIS OFFICE ACTS LIKE THEY CARE, BUT REALLY THEY DON'T. DO NOT LET THE SMILING FACES FOOL YOU. PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOR IS NO BETTER THAN JUST BEING OUT RIGHT RUDE.

Dr Salahudin Maalim was the physician, asked me a few questions about my general health, then gave me a piece of paper showing me what I should do (some basic exercise for my back, that you can google), I eventual got a $250 bill (post insurance coverage) for that piece of paper and because I answer his questions. I was told by the manager and billing person from the clinic that, yes, because you answered him, you got charged. Total scam. He also did another treatment, from a question that he asked, that treatment did not fix that it was supposed to fix, but I also got billed for $200+. I'm already moved on from this clinic even if I have to drive further so I can avoid any hidden charges or being scammed.

Advancements in technology and new medications have made life somewhat easier, yet it remains difficult to live as we once did. During our stay here in Blaine Minnesota, my wife experienced a progressive and debilitating flare up of her Multiple Sclerosis that required me to bring her to the Emergency Room at Mercy Hospital on Coon Rapids Boulevard. The reception we received in the emergency room was spectacular and so easily transitioning to get my wife seen. I must be honest, but not complaining, that the wait was somewhat long to get fully treated. Granted that it did become busy for the ER staff but what hospital doesn't have that issue. What completely caught us by surprise was that the doctors, nurses, and staff were always attentive to our needs as we waited along with other patients needing care. Once we were assigned a room, the care became even more personable, compassionate, and professional, helping my wife to feel as comfortable as she needed. The Doctors, Nurses, and Staff made us feel safe and secure that her care and diagnosis was their goal. Once my wife's admission to a room in 23 West, the care was even more wonderful as she was welcomed with open arms by the nurses, doctors and neurologists. As each day brought more diagnosis and testing, the medical staff reassured us that they were working to bring a resolution to my wife's MS condition. Not once did we ever feel that anyone was condescending in their attitude or care. Every medical person offered their best to make her feel encouraged and hopeful toward a full and well-informed recovery. Even as we spent the Thanksgiving holiday in the hospital, we didn't feel discouraged or disappointed because the staff made us feel like family. It wasn't long after the holiday that the doctors were able to send my wife home with the treatments needed and physical therapy she needed. It's been a slow recovery, but we were able to be home with our new grandson, daughter and son-in-law again. We can't express enough gratitude and thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids. We believe wholeheartedly that God sees to our needs through the service of others. Mercy Hospital truly lived up to its name as it provided mercy and compassion to my wife and me. We thank you with all the love and gratitude from our hearts. Sincerely, Michael and Diana Ramirez

I am extremely concerned about my experience at Mercy Hospital…read more I have stage 4 metastatic breast cancer and am currently undergoing chemotherapy, along with severe chronic pain from multiple surgeries. I was at the hospital supporting a close friend during a relapse in their sobriety while already physically exhausted, dehydrated, and emotionally overwhelmed. Instead of compassion, I was met with disrespect. A nurse called me a "bad friend" because my friend had relapsed. I was also told I could not have a glass of water because "we aren't here for you," which felt cruel and dehumanizing. I was also deeply disturbed by the doctor who appeared visibly upset. He was argumentative, shaky, very red in the face and smelled strongly of cologne. He made me feel unsafe as a medically fragile person. Hospitals should provide compassion and dignity. That is not what I experienced. I left feeling humiliated and deeply upset.
