I have worked with several CPAs over the years and always could contact them throughout the year if there was a question and they would get back within a reasonable amount of time but this does not happen with Katherine; you get no help at all or you have to ask and ask for weeks if not months. When she does finally get back in touch there is never any explanation for the delay and she continues to ignore questions time and time again. It's like running in circles. It's unfortunate because she is very nice and has always done well on tax returns but as a business owner, it is very important for your accountant to be available when you have questions or need something completed and Katherine has proven to be completely unreliable in that area. DO NOT trust these people. I've been using them for YEARS. They have been trusted and used by my family and family friends for years and years. This year however, an EPIC mistake was made. Lee put my daughter on my taxes after I specifically told him it was my ex husbands year to claim her. It has turned into a HUGE mess, and Lee won't even admit to the mistake that HE made, much less fix it. So my options are I pay in $2000 to get it mended, or let my ex husband claim our daughter for years to come. Either way I am ROYALLY screwed over. I needed my return this coming year to pay off credit card debt that I have been struggling with. My light at the end of the tunnel has been extinguished bc of someone else's dumba$$ mistake and refusal to fix it. Oh! And also if they screw up, they go ghost on you....they won't answer your calls or return voicemails or emails. These people are just about as shady as it gets, and Im going to make sure I tell as many people as possible. Frank was a good man. Lee's daddy would be appalled to see him doing loyal clients this way. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. read more

One of the biggest issues was her lack of accountability. There were multiple mistakes made by her team, yet she never took ownership or responsibility for them. Instead of acknowledging the errors or offering any kind of apology, she was dismissive and unhelpful. This left me in a tough position, especially when transitioning to a new accountant who had to spend significant time correcting numerous errors. It's frustrating because I've since seen other reviews describing a similar pattern--friendly at first, then becoming rude and unprofessional--which was exactly my experience as well. Mr. Abram has proven to be a very proficient, professional, godly and caring person. Once I listened to a friend and allowed someone else to prepare my taxes. And due to them incorrectly preparing them, the results was an IRS audit. And when I tried to contact the preparer, they never returned my calls and were never available to assist me. However I contacted Mr. Abram and he not only helped me, but took the time to accompany me to the IRS office. This was a traumatic and costly mistake and I decided not to do that again. Those of his staff, whom I've encountered have proved to be extremely helpful and cordial also. And as an added perk, at least once a year, in the midst of his busy schedule, he makes homemade pizza and fried apple pies which they distribute to his customers. And they are sooo good, off the chain even better than some of the well known establishments. Where can you find this type of service and appreciation? I pray God's continued blessings on him and his staff.
