I've been paying them for what I can do on my own with the automated version of TurboTax. A bummer since our friend referred us, but may be they were better many years ago.

This is no longer Michelle's business, it was bought out sometime in the last year or two. Last…read moreyear, we got surprised with a tax bill that was about 50% higher than we'd paid the year previously. When we asked about the steep increased amount, we were told that we'd be given a 15% discount for being long-time clients of the firm. The discount amount was quoted at 5% vs. 15% we were just told we'd be given. It was not a promising start with the new owners for both the price hike and not being able (or willing) to calculate a discount amount correctly. Went elsewhere.
