The staff at MRC are all pretty helpful and ready to take on any challenge. There is a personality for every type of motivation required - from tough-love to gentle nurturing. The women (and, I think one man when I was participating) who work there are all success stories who have continued to progress and have a desire to share the program with others. Down side? It's pricey and you have to take their supplements (the only one that is required is the protein supplement, and, believe me, that's plenty expensive - not including the start-up fees.) It is, however, effective - if you can commit yourself to long-term lifestyle changes and what not. I will say that if you plateau as I did, where no change was in evidence for approximately 3 months, it's easy to falter... Give it a shot, though, because the changes I made while on the program have not been deserted, and I'm happy with my lifestyle. The personalized approach and attention to correct form are what set Next Step apart from other fitness studios. I've used personal trainers a few other times in a big gym setting, but the privacy here makes a difference. As I go through the exercises, we talk about a lot of health information which keeps me aware of other health oriented topics.
