Be warry. This company refused to believe me when I said the brightness on my screen was washed out at low light after a screen replacement. Double check your phones in complete darkness if you choose to do business with them and be prepared for them to fight you on it. I would just go somewhere else and avoid the headache that I had. Even when I was there another lady came in unhappy with the service there, so it's not just me. I asked them to just take their screen back and refund me and leave me literally with a handful of parts for my phone so I could just go buy another phone but they still refused. It was never about the money, I'm a content creator and use my phone all the time and after 72 hours of them having my phone I was about at the end of my rope. They wanted to bring in another phone to see if I was lying to them about the brightness issue. This was after having my phone for 72 hours. in that time they never emailed me about issues, waited for me to show up to tell me problems like... "Our screw driver broke and we need a new one..." or me needing to bring it back becausee the selfie cam wasn't focusing, or the brightness they decided to not believe me on was working fine. I've never left a business review before. This is my first one. This company is incompetent, dishonest and unresponsive to the customer. Please stay away from them. I gave my phone to Fast Cell Repair to fix because of water damage. They offered to clean the motherboard and said that there was no warranty on the repair. In the end they charged me over $500 to clean the motherboard and to replace the LCD. When I got the phone I observed fingerprints on the inside of the main camera. We're talking a $1,000+ phone. How on earth can a repair shop repair a phone be so incompetent as to leave fingerprints on the camera lens? I tried to contact them so many times about this problem, all I got back was a rude email ridiculing me for asking for a partial refund. If a store can not stand behind the quality of it's work and is dishonest in refusing to admit it made a mistake - it doesn't deserve your business. Don't make the same mistake I made. They don't know the difference between an iPhone 6S and an iPhone 6S+. It took them LITERALLY 20 minutes to find my phone after I had gotten the screen repaired, despite the fact that I kept telling them "I-PHONE-SIX-S!" multiple times as increasingly slower and more emphasized tones. They kept insisting that my silver iPhone that HAD MY NAME ON THE STICKER wasn't there and kept trying to give me some tiny pink phone for someone named Stella. We share 0 LETTERS IN COMMON!!!! After it took them forever to find a phone that I gave them less than 18 hours ago, they proceeded to put on the WRONG SCREEN COVER! Apparently when I say iPhone 6S, they decided to add the + on themselves and purposely gave me the wrong cover. The selfie cam was completely covered, but I didn't think to check for a few days because I was under the impression that the workers at Fast Cell Repair knew what they were doing, BUT THEY DON'T! AVOID FAST CELL REPAIR on Commercial Drive like the plague! In addition to all the BS I had to deal with, I also witnessed them verbally abusing a homeless man who was looking to get an affordable phone plan, as well as uttering racial slurs to First Nations customers. My experience agrees with all the other bad reviews here. Incompetent, dishonest, and unresponsive to the customer. I went into the Fast Cell Repair on Commercial Drive at 1st Ave with my Samsung that I had dropped in the bath water for one second... I told them it was still working (I could hear notifications and phone calls coming in) but the screen was black (non-functioning). The arrogant young woman (who seemed to be just starting out in the family business) told me "we can look at it for $35, if it's the battery that would be $90, but we can't guarantee any repair and it could break again in a short time, we recommend you buy a new one". My phone is less than a year old and has been working perfectly, so that didn't seem reasonable to me.... when I asked a further question she looked exasperated and started again at the beginning, said the exact same things condescendingly, and then took a phone call. The proprietor (maybe her father?) was at the other end of the counter looking on. I felt this would be going nowhere I wanted to go, so I picked up my phone and walked away. My next try was a shop I had seen on the east side of Commercial, next to Santa Barbara food market. It was closed and dark, but there was a sign on the door saying 'for service call this number... ' Borrowing a phone from a nearby friend, I called and was told he could send a technician to meet me there in 10 minutes. From the shop I had just been to! I had not realized it was just another outlet for Fast Cell. He said "you want to buy a phone?" again even after I explained I just wanted a screen replacement. He said "maybe she went to the washroom or something". Quite ridiculous - if I hadn't already been driving all day and a bit sleep deprived, I should have noticed that shop looks like it is never opened. Well, my happy ending is that I did find an excellent and independent cell phone repair (Cell Doctor, on the west side of Commercial Drive) and got my screen replaced and my phone back in beautiful condition, with a new screen protector, all for the originally quoted price of $170. With service that was direct, honest, respected me, and did not try to gouge or up sell. And did not pretend to have no idea what was wrong, but actually assessed it as soon as I walked in. I am one of those people who breaks their screen too often, so these guys could have made some good $$$ off me. The technician put an iPhone 5 screen on instead of the correct SE screen. It was blurry and the sensor stopped working. He said, he would change it in a few days. He still charged me the full $120, which is ALOT. When I came back a few weeks later, they refused to fix the screen, saying it had taken too long. I now go to metro town where they did the same job at SUPERCELL for $65. Came in today for a battery change and the technician was fast and efficient. He also recommend a screen guard for my other phone which is very strong and prevents screen cracks. I like how everything was done under 10 minutes! Definitely coming back here if I need repairs. read more

BEWARE!!! Stay away! I took my Pixel 3 to them recently to get a cracked screen replaced. Otherwise the phone was in mint condition and still working, I had used it for a week before bringing it to them. They called me 3 days later to say my phone was fixed, but when I went to pick it up there was an obvious problem with the new screen, so they said they would replace it again. 3 weeks later I was told that there was a problem with the motherboard and the phone was no good. I thought this odd as the phone had been working perfectly before I dropped it off. I opened up the phone once I got home to find many missing screws and MISSING INTERNAL PARTS. I sent a polite email to the store a week ago to inform them of my displeasure and that I thought they should better oversee the repairs being done by their employees. Worst part, I received no response back, nothing....which would indicate that this business is A SCAM! Of course they didn't charge me any money for breaking my phone for me, but now I have to pay to purchase a new one now. I'm seriously considering filing action with Small Claims Court for the replacement cost of a new phone. read more

BE WARY of poor quality screens and screen protectors! I had a broken screen and brought it in for repair. They were initially friendly and told me I had a one year warranty on the service for changing the screen and screen protector, but they didn't provide any paperwork for the warranty. Three months later, my screen protector started chipping/cracking. I hadn't dropped it, so was confused why my screen protector was cracking. I did some research and apparently it could be from the cold or if protector is of poor quality. I brought the protector in to get it replaced and they told me that there was no warranty anymore and they were unwilling to replace it. Long story short, just be prepared to not get the best quality stuff if you come here for a repair. Also be prepared for the rules around warranty to change. read more

I purchased a Groupon to fix my broken Iphone 6 screen. Despite the discounted deal I got, I still received good and knowledgeable service here and thought the quality of the replacement they gave me was effective and comparable to the original Apple model. The owner explained to me that most places only replace the glass portion and not the entire LCD which doesn't last as the glass will pop out after a few days. I actually stayed in the store while the owner took almost an hour to put the new LCD in. I was very happy with the end result and have no problems with it. read more

After 2 weeks the screen stopped worked; upon taking to another repair shop the entire phone was contaminated with a minty oil that they used to seal the cheap screen including the battery, display and circuit board which cost another $350 in repair.They offer 30 day warranty but don't bother as I am sure the phone will be fixed improperly.
