I previously owned a small business specializing in outdoor lighting and shade installations. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, I was forced to close my business. While my business was still operating, a data analytics company I had hired to manage my Yelp advertising referred me to Kristina Haskell for QuickBooks training and accounting assistance. Based on that referral, I trusted her services and paid $1,750 to enroll in her QuickBooks training course. Unfortunately, my business closed before I could utilize the training, and the services were never rendered. After discussing the situation with Kristina, she agreed to refund my $1,750. Initially, she explained that she would need to split the refund into two payments. Later, she stated that she needed to wait until she received payment from her teaching job before she could reimburse me. Although I was understanding and willing to work with her, the promised refund never arrived. Despite multiple attempts to contact her through phone calls and emails, my communications have gone unanswered. What concerns me most is the lack of accountability and professionalism. As someone who provides accounting services to business owners, I would expect Kristina to understand the importance of financial responsibility, transparency, and honoring commitments. I trusted her with my money, received none of the services I paid for, and have been left attempting to recover $1,750 that she agreed to return. My advice to fellow small business owners: Exercise extreme caution before entrusting your money or accounting needs to Avalon Accounting, LLC. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend Kristina Haskell or her company. I sincerely hope she honors her commitment and returns the money owed to me.
