I read several reviews that mentioned this place cuts lenses on-site and offers a fast turnaround,…read moreso I called ahead to confirm they could get my lenses ready before my upcoming vacation. They assured me it would be possible, so I drove 45 minutes on my lunch break to drop off my glasses. Unfortunately, they weren't ready in time for my trip. It actually took 10 days from when I dropped them off until my glasses were ready for pickup. To make matters worse, after they missed the deadline, they closed for a week for vacation (which they conveniently "forgot" to warn me about). They placed the blame for the delay entirely on UPS, but it was Rems who told me they could have my glasses done before I left. UPS didn't close for a week and didn't fail to communicate with me--Rems did. While I appreciate that they cut lenses on-site and can sometimes offer a quick turnaround under absolutely ideal circumstances, the 10 days it took to complete my order was actually longer than if I had gone to a closer optician that sends glasses out to a lab.

My husband referred me here after he purchased new glasses there about 1.5 years ago. His good experience prompted me to choose Rowden.

For years I've been devoted to a particular eyeglass frame from Warby Parker. While the optometrist was writing my prescription at the front desk, the receptionist discovered I wouldn't be ordering glasses through the office. Her previously pleasant demeanor turned cold and although I received a copy of my prescription, it was with an air of "you're doing something wrong." I ordered my Warby Parker glasses and needed adjustments. I called the office to inquire and received the same cold shoulder - the office will not serve patients who don't order their glasses. I didn't expect adjustments to be free, but nor did I expect to be turned away so brusquely. For a small town optometrist office, I expected professional behavior, which I did not receive. A patient buying glasses elsewhere hurts their bottom line, I understand that, but I am the one wearing the glasses and need to feel comfortable with my choice. I don't believe it's right for patients to be treated like that, so I will search for a new optometrist.

Through yelp, I found this place and read some positive reviews of Dr. Lee. I made an appointment for myself and two kids and we all had our eyes examined by Dr. Lee. He's friendly and I never felt rushed through our appointments. He made sure to answer all questions and concerns. When our exam is done, we have the choice to get our prescriptions written and head out to another place to shop and shop here directly. Honestly, I knew I needed the Asians fit so I browsed around to see what they have on stocked. It didn't take too long for me to fit 'the one' pair of frame. It was light weight, cute and fits my face perfectly. The best part is the frames are reasonably priced compared to my other Asian fit frame I purchased in north jersey. 20% discounts are given to customers who doesn't have insurance for frames and yes, unfortunately that applies to us. I'm happy with my glasses and so is my son. For my daughter, there were no change in her eyesight exam which is great as she can still wear her existing pair. Their staff is friendly and really try to work with the patients/customers. I have seen them on providing costs effective and solutions if you have any financial concerns.

After one visit, I moved myself and my family from another local business to this place for all of our eyecare and glasses needs. The owner Michael Kim is a pleasure to deal with, he is warm, friendly, respectful and has a great sense of humor and best of all, he really knows his business. He has a few different eye doctors that are there at different days of the week and it isn't difficult to get an appointment. His shop is always spotless, I honestly wish that most restaurants had a public bathroom as clean as his. Michael is one of those business professionals that I trust completely. He is quick to tell me that I really should spend a few extra dollars to get something that will make me happy and just as quick to tell me that my prescription hasn't changed much and I probably can wait a bit longer for new glasses and save some money. His wife Gina is a lovely woman and very friendly and the eye doctors he has working for him are both great. The shop is large, clean and has a very nice selection and Michael is a master of his trade, when he takes measurements and mounts your lenses in the frames you pick, the work is perfect and he treats you as if you're his only customer and wants to make a great impression. When we visit, I bring my wife and daughter and are usually there for a while picking out frames and seeing the optometrist and I see how happy his customers are when dealing with this business. TLTR - I went here with reservations as I already had a place and felt bad about going to another business, but the care and service here is unparalleled!
