He proceeded to yell at me saying i expect to have an appointment when ever i want it Then he named several doctors that i had consulted in the past stating i did not get along with any of them totally untrue I sais doctor i just lost my husband of 35years 2 weeks ago with that he never offered his condolences but said you need a psychiatrist im not a psychiatrist over and over He said everyone loves the receptionist on and on I actually becamto tell him about e afraid and wondered if he would let me out as he was standing in the doorway i picked up my bag and started to walk out while he kept shouting for me to get a psychiatrist and following me to the door saying things like good luck have agood life in a sarcastic cruel way I called dr Inverno to tell him about my encounter I was told he was divorced possibly a reason for his behavior and his need to defend the receptionist looke half his age Dr inverno although semi retired offered to see me and order any meds i might need He actually hired this doctor from Brookly and was aware of his bedside manner But his behavior was not just bad bedside manner it was cruel and unprofessional I have the same primary doctor for over 25 years i am an RN cand i worked for the same hospital for apox 33 years My conputer is not workin too well so i apologize for the mispelled words I cant imagine this man with a scapel when he cannot control his immature temper and behavior c

Dr Calderone's office arranged for my urgent visit on the same day. Everyone was courteous,…read morethorough and efficient. Dr Calderone took time to review his findings and recommendations carefully. I recommend him highly.

I started going to this practice on the recommendation of my previous ophthalmologist, who retired…read more I was willing to give it a chance, but after my most recent experience I'll be going elsewhere for my next eye exam. As other reviewers have noted, patients at this practice go through a "production line" process, along with long waits between various tests, before seeing the doctor. Expect to spend at least 90 minutes, even early in the day. The previous two years, I was seen by Dr. Yang, the optometrist on staff. She was thorough and took an educational approach - I appreciated the time she took to explain a condition she'd observed and her willingness to respond to my questions. While I wasn't thrilled with the amount of time the whole experience took, I felt I'd gotten something positive out of it. This year, I was seen instead by Dr. Calderone. Or at least I found out it was him after I saw the signature on my prescriptions - he never introduced himself, nor did anyone inform me I wouldn't be seeing Dr. Yang. Instead, as soon as Calderone walked into the exam room, he looked up another patient's chart and spent several minutes talking about that patient's issues with his assistant. With several other exam rooms available (and presumably a personal office somewhere), why would he talk about a patient in front of a stranger? Once done with that, he turned to me and said, "your turn!" Looking at the computer screen where my test results presumably were on screen, he started muttering about what he was seeing; it sounded as if he doubted the information he was reading and was trying to correct it. He had questions about my contact lenses and it got to the point where I said I'd go home to find the box to confirm that what Dr. Yang had prescribed the year before. My confidence in him and his skills was rapidly waning. Now we're on to the exam, and he coughs in my face as he's looking at my eyes through the instrument. Seriously. We're in the middle of cold and flu season (I won't even go into covid and RSV...), and a physician can't even bother to turn his head before he coughs. Exam done, he tells me that nothing's changed since last year, and I can pick up my prescription at the optician's desk in the lobby. While I'd been considering buying a pair of glasses there, the optician (after keeping me waiting) simply asked if I needed to order contacts and handed me my prescriptions when I said no. Good thing I didn't get the glasses there. When I finally looked at the prescription before going to an optician, I saw that it's dramatically different from the scrip I got last year and didn't account for my bifocal needs. Either Calderone was lying when he said my vision hadn't changed, or he simply wasn't paying attention. I wouldn't have been happy to spend several hundred dollars on glasses with the wrong prescription. Either way I'm not going back. And I had a cold two days later. Thanks, Dr. Calderone.
