It was freezing inside, it's December & I have on a coat so no big deal. I go to start the dryer but it doesn't work. So I've wasted my time & $.50 on a laundromat that doesn't laundry. Maybe it was just that one dryer but there was no Out of Order sign so I cut my losses & went to Westwood. That place is just 1/2 mile away & is really nice. Warm too.

In times of such need, the coin laundry appears to the rescue. Sadly, few of them are listed on Yelp and so you have to drive along the major roads with a careful eye looking for a sign. I'm now saving you the trouble, because here's Vincent Coin Laundry. About 18 or so washers, ranging in size from small to medium to super huge industrial size. The small ones go for $1.50 and the super gigantic one that I used was $6.00 and it took 23 minutes. I know this, because there was a countdown timer on it. There are a dozen or so dryers, also super huge. Each 8 minute cycle is only 25 cents. While waiting for my quilt to get nice and clean, I was able to watch the bolted-down television and there was a sign noting the password to access their free wifi. Awesome, I spent the time surfing on my iPhone. Picnic-style tables are available for waiting. There are also two "folding" tables and a couple of laundry carts. Plenty of parking and there is a security camera mounted high up on the wall, watching the "office" door and the two $1/$5/$10 change machines. No $20's, I had to find a business nearby to make a small purchase. There is also a machine selling detergent and fabric softener boxes. Note that the door becomes "exit-only" after 11:00 PM. This business is not staffed. I don't have to do this often, but it's good to know that there is a decent place around if needed.

I have used Long Branch Dry Cleaning for my personal items in the past without issue. However, my…read morerecent experience regarding a vintage leather fringe coat I intended to sell for my business was extremely disappointing. Given my experience over the past few years including significant delays in the return of my daughter's wedding dress after preservation, as well as the damage to this vintage coat I would advise others to use extreme caution when considering this company. When I brought in the coat, I clearly informed the attendant that it was vintage leather. I was confident in this, but the attendant argued that it was faux leather after briefly inspecting it. I explained that, given the age of the coat, I did not believe faux leather would have been used at that time. Despite this, she insisted it was not leather and assured me it could be processed through standard dry cleaning. Based on her confidence, I trusted her judgment, although I was asked to sign a waiver prior to service. A week later, I was contacted and informed that the coat had been damaged during the dry cleaning process. When I returned to discuss the situation, the attendant acknowledged that the coat was, in fact, leather and admitted that sending it to a leather specialist would have prevented the damage. Despite this, I was told they had attempted repairs through their seamstress and that I would be responsible for the cost. I requested to speak with the owner, Forrest Ward, and was told he would contact me. After waiting over a week and leaving follow-up messages, I did not receive a response. Instead, I was later contacted by a manager who informed me the coat could not be repaired. During that conversation, responsibility was shifted onto me, citing the condition of the coat rather than acknowledging the improper cleaning method. Overall, I found the handling of this situation to be unprofessional and lacking accountability. As a long-term customer, I expected better communication, ownership of the mistake, and a reasonable resolution. As of 03/07/26 I still have not had my coat returned to me. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this dry cleaning company.
