My friend asked if we can test drive it, as the one we test drove at Honda had brake issues. The salesman had no problems for use to test drive and booked appointment (4 stars for him). we got there and the salesman we were dealing with was not there and put use through another man, but he was busy, so this lady took over, and we sat at here office. She started asking question what my friend looking for, payments etc, etc. we did this already with the first Salesman, why again. I did stated to the lady were here to test drive the SUV that my friend booked appointment for. she stated well i think the Rav4 will be a better choice. like omg if we wanted to test drive the Rav4 we would ask to, my friend wants to test drive Corolla Cross. Finally the lady stated she will get the SUV. Test dove it and stated to the lady we will keep in touch and left. I was not impressed with the service from this lady, first she should have the SUV that my friend booked for sitting by the door for us to test drive, second not try to change my friend minds and drive something that my friend wasn't interested in. I already had a quote of $225 for a replacement windshield so I did not have it done. As I thought the first quote for the repair was rather high I stopped at another mobile place same company. Their quote was outrageous up to $250 depending on the amount of product they needed to use. I headed over to GlassMasters to make an appointment for the replacement and had them check if a repair was possible. To my amazement he said yes. My bill was $15 plus tax with my AMA card. What a joke this dealer has been over the years we have had our 2011 Hyundai Sonota. Every time it…read morehas graced this dealerships presence for warranty work or recalls we have had issues! Leaving subframe bolts (they are like 12'' long!) out after rear control arm work was one of the big ones of the past but recently we had the engine finally do the old rod knock, so as per the class action lawsuit to force a lifetime warranty on these, we had it towed to Gary Moe and tried our best to communicate through the lengthy ordeal (Oct. 21st to Dec 4th). So lets start with our service writer Gilles, someone with very little auto knowledge and lacking in customer skills, the kinda thing that you'd think would be perinate for the position? From the beginning it took a long time for them to tell us that a charge for original diagnosis and warranty approval may be necessary, and that charge would be upwards of $270. So we drove (an hour/100kms) and I removed the valve cover myself in the parking lot (hand tools took me about 20 min) and took the required pics (looked as new inside as we maintain it very well). After this we waited weeks for the approval and then more weeks for the work to start. Multiple times including talking to the GM we said I wanted a quick chat with the mechanic doing the work, that NEVER happened, and as a result multiple other issues came from that!! Once finally finished we received the car back with some dirty/missing/loose parts. I was expecting that (past experiences) so whatever, but it was just the overall time frame, lack of communication, general lack of automotive knowledge, overcharging threats, and poor workmanship that gets them the 1 star. They claim to have 5 things they promise to every customer who uses their services. 1. They will greet you upon arriving...this happened no problem there, unnecessary but whatever, it could be useful for some. 2. The car would be returned cleaner than it arrived....it wasn't the underbody tray had oil all over it (dry before). 3. They will perform a walk around at arrival... (to be fair it was dropped of by the tow company after hours, but we never had any paperwork or confirmation of this) 4. Status updates on vehicle progress....NEVER happened once! 5. A follow up a couple days after receiving vehicle back...NEVER happened. Be warned that you will most likely have a very subpar experience @ Gary Moe Hyundai, it's all we expect at this point.
