On August 31st, my family and I were on a tour with a wonderful guide (Jill Pretorius of Windsor…read moreDay Tours)... We had already walked all over Winchester, we were on our way to Stonehenge, we were excited and hungry, but also jet lagged and exhausted! Jill brought us to The White Lion joking that, being only 400 years old, it was practically a brand new pub! We came in (mind your head), and were immediately sat down at a big, groaning, family table! Water was served, beers and ciders followed, and then meat pies and fish and chips were ordered all around! This meal was absolutely delicious in the way that only homemade country pub food can be. The cider selection was excellent, and we left refreshed, happy, and ready to take on the rest of our day (mind you, we ALL passed out cold in the van after Stonehenge and on the way back to our hotel)! Thank you so much to the ladies of The White Lion Inn & Pub for your extremely warm hospitality!! Much love! I hope to make it back one day!

The Litten House is a lovely, surprisingly affordable B&B run by two very hospitable hosts. The…read morerooms are comfortable and have every amenity you could ever imagine needing. Our room had a small balcony with a view of the garden. Their "large shower room" does indeed contain an impressively large shower. The glassed-in breakfast room (also with a view of the garden) is gorgeous, and the breakfast itself quite generous. We were in Chichester for a wedding and had a bit of spare time, and the hosts suggested a historic walking tour, which turned out to be fascinating. In all, a memorable experience.

We drove past it twice has it was not clearly marked and was tucked away a bit. driving up the drive way we where stunned at how amazing this place looked it was like a picture postcard. inside was how you would excpect a cottage to look with beams and wonky celings. Our room was small but clean the onsuite was tiny with a shower and a loo the loo was lop sided because of the floor. the down side was there was a room above ours and when people moved who where heavy footed it sounded like THUNDER it also made our windows rattle. Also what was a lit down was you had to leave at 10.30 and breakfast is served between 8.00 and 9.00 am and the food is nice. The owners where very help full and happy to chat to us . but sadly there was one more thing that let this b&b down was the fact of no heating in the onsuite which meant it got very cold in there at night. We stayed 3 nights and payed £280 we enjoyed our stay and it was good value for money but we doubt we will go back .

We had the penthouse room and it was superb. The decor was modern and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Will definietly be back and can't recommend highly enough.
