For lunch I had the fish and chips and my partner had the goat cheese tart salad. The portions were generous and extremely tasty. There was also I good range of ales and beers. Overall I would defiantly recommend the George ad dragon for any one who wants good food.

We stayed here whilst attending a wedding nearby and were very pleased with our choice. So the warm welcome, quiet position, hearty breakfast all with a lovely view over the next door vinyard, all at a very good price adds to a pretty flawless english b&b experience. This would get the full five stars except for a slight mix up with our room booking but this doesn't stop me from recommending the place to anyone.

We have both travelled a lot and stayed in many places, and have never felt so unwelcomed upon…read morefirst arrival as we did here. There was none of the usual basic respect for customer or warmth of hospitality. We suspect may have been predjudice because of our slightly alternative appearance, also we are foreigners, artists and are a couple in their '30's. Inside, the rooms smelled badly of stale cigarettes and/or mould. The room felt oppressive. There were many signs everywhere including in the bathroom with orders of what not to do, to the point of control freak. Sylvia's attitude was very cold and unfriendly and upon our leaving she was very aggressive towards us and showed disdain for the Scottish pound note with which we used to pay her. We didn't end up even staying the first night there as we just felt so uncomfortable.
