I don't give money to shady businesses. So I tried OTF. It's like night and day! This is a REAL workout! The guidance through your workouts and the music and community is awesome! The staff is actually qualified to train, unlike the little kids with 6 hours of BS training at BA. First class is free! Try it! Love it!!!

What I…read morelike: *Mix of strength and cardio: I'm a firm believer you need both *Constant positive energy from the coaches *Music is *always* pumping *The workouts are always different so you don't get bored or feel like it's repetitive *Community is amazing and I've made some great new friends *Based off your personal heart rate to determine your zones which can be recalibrated as your fitness levels change *Huge variety of times so I have no excuse to not go between jobs, kids, and appts. 5am is my jam. *Great outlet to get out of the house into a different environment for working out with no interruptions *The best endorphin boost for mental clarity *Sets fun benchmarks and challenges as opportunities to grow stronger and faster *Probably the most important: it does not matter what size or shape or strength or pace you are at. Sure it can feel intimidating trying something new but you quickly realize it is self-paced. You aren't trying to keep up with anyone but yourself and no one is watching to see where you're at. This is far from an elitist group and I love seeing people from all different walks of life at different points of their fitness journeys. In 3 months I have lost 20lbs and 11% body fat. My BMI went from overweight to healthy and my goal is to maintain that. I have 5 kids under the age of 5 and want to be a good role model for them, and for any moms out there that you can still be healthy and strong during pregnancy and motherhood!

I reluctantly tried out their free one-on-one class & did a lot of observing of the actual class going on. I'm not a gym junkie . I'm a lap swimmer & Zumba dancer. I've always considered myself to be on the weak side & I've been told that to my face. I joined immediately without thinking twice . If something intimidates you, that means you probably should do it. I'm now about 6 months in & although I have a long ways to go, I'm noticing big results physically, emotionally & mentally. Oh, about 2 months after signing up, the pandemic hit & my apartment gym closed. Guess who stayed open (with rules of course)?? Yep. If it wasn't for this place, I would have been in a bad spot physically & emotionally. PROS:1) amazing coaches who work with you & don't make you feel like a fool when everyone else is bench pressing heavy weight & you just do the bar. They don't make you conform to what everyone else is doing. 2) workouts are always different & you can see the day before what the workout will be (so you can prepare or skip...lol) 3) lots of class times every day of the week! 4) if you can't do something, you will be given an alternative & no one in the class will look at you funny 5) people in class are nice & will help you out 6) definite mood booster. I can have a crappy day & after a workout, my endorphins are kicked in. CONS: 1) you will have days where you will be very sore and/or have trouble walking (is that really a bad thing?!) 2) there might be things that really intimidate you, but you will eventually get over it if you keep showing up 3) you won't start to look like The Rock right away, but you can picture him in your head to motivate you to get through the workout . LOL!! :))

    This gym is the most simple yet sexiest gyms I've been to in a really long time. It has everything…read moreyou need to strengthen every part of your body as well as a couple of machines to work in a bit of cardio. The other fantastic part about this gym, the staff and trainers are super friendly and laid back. There is an absolute sense of purpose here. There's a warm feeling, as though the trainers are here for you to succeed, to push you forward to reach your goals. I know that is probably how most gyms claim to be, but honestly I've never felt that until stepping into this little hidden gem recently. I felt comfortable working on bench presses and working muscles I hadn't worked in years. I had fun and though I could not lift as much, that doesn't matter to them. To them, what matters is me, what I can do, what success looks like for me, and where I am at now and where I could be later. I love that! It's not that they just say this, I can tell they believe this and do what they can to ensure it emanates through the classes they hold, the training sessions, and the atmosphere in the gym. Exercise has always been in my life but it had been years since I actually had a direction for my workouts. I met up with one of their trainers, Jason, and I was able to use an In Body Scan machine. This machine is amazing, it measures your body fat percentage, how many calories you need to just be awake, as well as your skeletal muscle mass among many other things. Jason explained every detail to me in a professional and friendly way. I never felt stupid despite my ignorance. As we began talking about the numbers he asked me what I was looking for and what I wanted to achieve knowing this information. I had a hard time sticking down a specific number or goal but as we talked more about what I wanted and how I could achieve it we settled on a couple of goals and a manageable time frame to achieve them. Another great thing about this gym? They also have classes you can sign up for, BMFC fit class, power lifting and boxing, as well as personal training sessions. If you're not ready for that yet, you can even set up a plan to use the gym at a pretty reasonable price too. If you have ever felt intimidated at other gyms, or you wanted to talk through your goals, nutrition, or exercises in a comfortable and open environment, Body Masters Fit Club is the perfect fit. I wish I had found this place sooner, but now that I have I'm excited to see where I will be a year from now. Perhaps, I'll even be able to climb up that rope they have and touch the ceiling!

They have a flexible schedule which is what this mom of 4 really needed and I can tell after a month that I'm stronger than I've been in a long time! Great staff, friendly people and everything I needed to improve my strength.
