If you are more of a person who likes to plan their own workout, they have a massive variety of machines and free weights that ensures you are able to get a great workout in without having to wait a long time for a machine! They also have an amazing indoor and outdoor pool. The outdoor pool is a DREAM in the summer- I could literally spend all day here. They have an outdoor and an indoor cafe that has high quality ingredients and food, truly making it so you could spend your whole day here. On top of the workout classes, expansive gym, pools that make you feel like you are no longer in Omaha- but somewhere more tropical they also have a great workspace if you are looking to make a meeting right after a workout. They have a clean, well maintained locker room that allows you to shower and get ready for your day here as well. Life Time is truly like my second home. Perfect day: yoga, steam room and sauna, cafe for a protein packed smoothie, get comfortable in their work space and get power through some projects, pool with a book and a slushie, shower off and go home. Could not be a more perfect day.

Unfortunately, my experience changed due to a situation involving a spin instructor that deeply impacted my personal life. This situation made the gym feel uncomfortable and no longer like the safe space it once was for me and my family. What has been most disappointing is how everything was handled. I did not feel that my concerns were taken seriously, and ultimately I was the one who had to leave and cancel my membership after many years. I understand that personal situations can be complex, but when they affect members' comfort and trust, I believe they should be handled with greater care and accountability. Because of this experience, I would encourage others to carefully consider what kind of environment they're looking for when choosing a gym.

Basic gym is fine. Cost is fine. However, in this day and age, having to visit in person to…read morecancel is simply an outdated and SHADY business practice designed for one purpose - to make it difficult for customers for the opportunity to continue billing for a service/facility that is not being used. When physically impossible to stop in to cancel, an alternative option was offered: To write in with a physical snail mail letter. What year is it? And this isn't to protect customers as suggested. What would the risk to a customer in this situation. Malicious cancellation? Letter would pose the same risk, which is exceedingly low anyway, as we are talking about a pretty low monthly charge and ability to always reactivate the membership. Due to the costs involved, cancelling a flight, Cox Gigablast, or a reservation to tube down the Niobrara pose a higher risk. Yet these service/facility providers allow for both complete verbal or digital purchase and cancellation. So there are no real safety issues for customers with this physical signature requirement to cancel. It's intentional and in effort to be paid for nothing. #DoBetter

There are always plenty of cardio machines open and the wait for weight machines is short to non-existent. My husband and I recently upgraded to the premium membership and have enjoyed using the dry sauna.

I left because…read morethey TRIED stealing money from me and they DID steal a lot of money from my friends and they ignored a medical issue one of my friends had there. That pissed me off. I don't give money to shady businesses. So I tried OTF. It's like night and day! This is a REAL workout! The guidance through your workouts and the music and community is awesome! The staff is actually qualified to train, unlike the little kids with 6 hours of BS training at BA. First class is free! Try it! Love it!!!

I've been into health and fitness my whole life and OTF has been a game changer for me. What I…read morelike: *Mix of strength and cardio: I'm a firm believer you need both *Constant positive energy from the coaches *Music is *always* pumping *The workouts are always different so you don't get bored or feel like it's repetitive *Community is amazing and I've made some great new friends *Based off your personal heart rate to determine your zones which can be recalibrated as your fitness levels change *Huge variety of times so I have no excuse to not go between jobs, kids, and appts. 5am is my jam. *Great outlet to get out of the house into a different environment for working out with no interruptions *The best endorphin boost for mental clarity *Sets fun benchmarks and challenges as opportunities to grow stronger and faster *Probably the most important: it does not matter what size or shape or strength or pace you are at. Sure it can feel intimidating trying something new but you quickly realize it is self-paced. You aren't trying to keep up with anyone but yourself and no one is watching to see where you're at. This is far from an elitist group and I love seeing people from all different walks of life at different points of their fitness journeys. In 3 months I have lost 20lbs and 11% body fat. My BMI went from overweight to healthy and my goal is to maintain that. I have 5 kids under the age of 5 and want to be a good role model for them, and for any moms out there that you can still be healthy and strong during pregnancy and motherhood!

My goal was to lose ten pounds and see if I could alleviate the pain in my knees because they were aching continuously. The trainer, Colin Gable, took his time with an interview and listened to what I wanted to achieve. During my hour-long sessions twice a week, he explains each exercise and always demonstrates them first. He adjust the machines, steps and other equipment exactly for my smaller frame. He is punctual and never leaves me during a session. He keeps accurate records so I know where we are on this journey to be the best version of me. On St Patrick 's Day of 2024, I did the 144 steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, famous for"Rocky Steps" . In early May, 2024, I had my annual physical. I had lost 18 pounds and my BMI had decreased over 3 points. My knees seldom hurt and I haven't worn a kneebrace since last November. I moved to Omaha without knowing anyone and I was unfamiliar with the city. Then I discovered Ambrust YMCA in my neighborhood. I feel a sense of belonging and my trainer has made it successful and fun. The money, time and energy I have invested in this venture has been life changing for the better.
