It's a community . . . a family, if you don't mind me getting a little cheesy about it. The heart and soul of the place is Travis, the owner, but the other coaches are all fantastic, too. Crossfit, in general, might get a bit of a bad or even cultish rep, but that's not how it is here. The workouts ARE hard, but the vibe is 1,000% supportive and encouraging. There are ALL levels of fitness here, from Spartan racer, elite athlete types to the over 50, "what the hell happened to my body?!" types (I fall comfortably into the latter category). Scaling of the workouts is always encouraged to tailor the work you your specific level of fitness and the variety of workouts ensures that it is NEVER, ever, ever boring. Bottom line: If you're looking for a home and a place to start, restart, continue, or supplement your fitness journey, you simply can't go wrong here. You won't find better people or a better environment anywhere.

They take time to address areas of improvement and provide positive feedback when you succeed. Best of all, is the comforting and welcoming nature of everyone who goes to this gym. Upon walking in the first time, everyone introduces themselves and asks a little about you to get to know you better. This is very much a family more so than a gym.

The instructors are great- they provide modification instructions when needed and push you to go a little extra. As a person who hated gyms and working out- it's been the only way I have found a routine that I've stuck with.

Reposting original review (June 2017): Overall I would say…read morethe program as fine and fun. It is a welcoming environment, but the biggest drawback (that I wasn't very clear on when I signed up) is that the instructors are only certified by the franchise. They are not certified personal trainers. From my understanding, the instructors were former bootcamp members who are paid a small fee (maybe like 8 dollars an hour) to instruct classes. What this means in practice is that often times the afternoon classes are lower quality because they are less sought after, and more experienced instructors choose to instruct in the morning. Classes are often taught by new instructors who are just learning, which means counting is off, things are explained poorly, and above all gym members are often given contradictory instructions by different instructors. I understand the need to be patient with new instructors, but you aren't paying less if your grade-school-teacher turned kick boxing instructors on Monday nights is really terrible or really great (it can go either way). Ultimately, the fluctuation in quality is what made me look for a gym with classes with certified personal trainers. It was a really hard thing to admit to myself because everyone was so nice and welcoming at the gym, but after a while you lose confidence in the fifth or sixth brand-spanking new instructor. By and large I am paying professional gym prices, and I want professional level reliable instructors not just the affable yet doubt invoking new recruits. The owner is lovely, and all of the people seem enthusiastic, but the structure of the franchise would have been a big dissuading factor for me had I known going in. Also this doesn't seem to be something explained well on the advertisements.
